Chapter 7: The New Threat.

Be known to everyone who were watching the first day, there is a one school that will become the new threat in the Kanagawa. Wakanamiya High School, their playing style was systematic and have a strong defense.

Their captain, Chie Baba. A point guard, who stands at 180cm, with great speed, ball handling and passing ability. He can defend against guards up to forwards. Their are like Ryonan who has two ace, first is their Junior Shooting Guard, Dai Goshi. A scored who lives by attacking the paint, he is also have a strong jumping ability. He uses his jumping with his great finishing at the rim. And the second ace was their starting junior power forward, Ayumu Watarai. A power forward with smooth jumper and quick feet, Ayumu can beat his opponents with his speed and strength.

Wakanamiya High beats one of the favorites in the tournament, Hanazono High. 120-95.

[MIYAGI: Those guys will be tough to beat, especially that guard.]

[AYAKO: Right, he is like Maki-Senpai.]

All of the matches played tomorrow at the second day were all great matches, and many people want to see the new look Kainan and Ryonan. Shohoku was being the third most watch in the tournament because they lose Takenori Akagi, which was going to be a huge blow for Shohoku. Especially against Tatsumasa Oda.

At the Steak House of Burger, Sakuragi, Miyagi, Ayako, Shota, Daichi and the Sakuragi Gang met unexpectedly in the joint, they all decided to seat in one large round table.

[MIYAGI: Why did you leave after the Takezono match, Sakuragi?.]

[SAKURAGI GANG: HAHAHAHA!.]

Mito earned a headbutt from Sakuragi. The freshman listened very carefully to what their senpai is saying, and though sometimes they got lose when they were saying other people's name. However, Ayako was filling them in on the conversation.

It was a fun night, and the next day.

It was the second day of the Tournament and the first game of the day was Kainan versus Enomata. People began to fill the whole stadium, and the teams began to arrived at the same time.

The Enomata High players is the first one to get on the court and they began their stretching and the few minutes later, The King of Kanagawa, Kainan University Affiliated High School have entered the court.

The captain, Shoichiro Jin, was now slightly more bulky in terms of muscle and Kiyota was beside Jin. While warming up, Shoichiro saw his younger brother, Shota wearing the Shohoku jacket. And then Kiyota called him, he went back and walk towards Kiyota.

The first game starts and Kainan's first year was beating Enomata easily, and then at the starts of the second half, the first year lack of experience was shown and Enomata began to crawl back into the game. And at the 4:36 minute mark of the second half, Kainan's Coach, Riki Takato puts Shoichiro Jin and Kiyota Nobunaga in the game.

[SPECTATOR #1: Oh? Enomata did a good job bringing out the top guns of Kainan.]

[SPECTATOR #2: However, how will they deafest them now, even without Maki, Kainan is still Kainan.]

[SPECTATOR #3: That's right.]

At the court.

Kiyota steals the ball and starts the fast break, he dribble to the left and then rushes towards the rim, and then he jumps and dunks the ball with his right hand.

[NOBUNAGA: HAHAHAHA…. Did you see that, you red head monkey?!.]

[SAKURAGI: That wild monkey…..!]

At the court, Enomata couldn't score and then when Kainan was running back towards their rim, Kainan's second year point guard, Takeshi Nagano, he spotted Shoichiro Jin in the left wing. He pass it to Shoichiro, Shoichiro catches it then shoots, Shoichiro makes it.

After that first three, Shoichiro Jin gets hot and makes a 5 consecutive three points and Kainan moves onto the third round.

Kiyota Nobunaga scores 19 points, even though he only gets on the court with more than 4 minutes left in the game. Shoichiro Jin scores the team high 26 and makes a 5 out of 5 three pointer.

Next game was going to be the Shohoku vs Takezono.
