Aaron walked along the ground of the dungeon, his skeletal feet propelling himself forward, as they should. He wasn't feeling any adverse effects to the pain he had received earlier, but he didn't know that it was Holy Magic, which damaged monsters more than it should. He just knew that his head hurt at that moment in time.
You honestly would think it would be harder to move about without having any muscles, but no. To Aaron, it was exactly the same as when he was a human. He did however find it strange to not necessarily need food. It was more like an upgrader to his stats. He didn't need it, but it was very useful to have and possibly could be vital later on.
Also, what would happen if he were to drink something like milk? This was something he was curious about. Would the nutrients just absorb into his bones, and make the actual liquid disappear, or would it just splash everywhere?
Well, it doesn't matter for now. All Aaron was concerned with was making himself stronger. He didn't wish to go around killing everything in sight in the future. Just being strong enough to defend himself was fine. If something were to attack him, though, he wanted to be powerful enough to come out on top.
He got his chance around twenty-five minutes after he began his walk. He saw another skeleton standing by itself. Great. Killing one of his own kind. Well, whatever it takes to be stronger.
He pulled one of his ribs out of his body. Guess those are his favourite bones. The bone became sharp, and looked like it was sharper than before. This is due to 'Bone Blade' being upgraded by 'Boundless Potential'.
He rushed in with his sword, as the opposing skeleton held up its left arm, but it wasn't strong enough. It couldn't hold up to the Bone Blade, and the bones from just below its left elbow were removed from its body, due to where the blade had hit.
Aaron jumped back a meter, while keeping alert, as the skeleton tried to run towards him, its right arm outstretched in an attempt to grab Aaron, but it was interrupted by Aaron shoving his Bone Blade directly through its skull. He pulled out the blade, and severed the skeleton head, by slicing at the cervical vertebra, which are the neck bones.
Aaron then lifted the head of the skeleton into the air, as the body of it fell to the ground and disintegrated. He dropped the head to the floor, and grabbed a nearby rock. It was decently heavy. He lifted it up, and with a sigh, dropped it down onto its head. The skull could be heard shattering.
[You have killed level 7 Common Skeleton]
[You have gained 20 EXP!]
'That was worthless. Only twenty Exp compared to the first time I killed the bear. Really goes to show the difference between the different species.'
Aaron walked around some more, half of him trying to think of a way to get more experience points and the other half contemplating the sheer difference in species strength. It is completely insane.
He was then met with quite a sight. The sight of a skeleton, although this skeleton seemed different. It exuded an aura of power, unlike the bear. What was this skeleton?
He knew that talking wouldn't work, and, despite his sense of pacifism, he placed his own survival above pacifism, and ripped out one of his ribs.
Yes, he was going to attack this skeleton, but first, he wanted to see what it was doing.
The first thing he observed was that it was standing in a large cavern, which meant there would be a lot of room to fight. Despite the large space, however, was just standing still, in the centre of the cavern. Like it was awaiting a challenge. It held a sword in its hand, which appeared to be a claymore, although Aaron wasn't able to tell the height.
Aaron did realise that it might be a bad idea, but if it will help him reach his end goal of semi-pacifism, he would attack it.
Aaron rushed up from behind the skeleton, and went to stab at its spine with his bone blade, but it disappeared.
Aaron then felt a sudden force push him from behind, this being the skeleton delivering a kick to his spine, and he went flying across the cavern, slamming into a wall. Like the worm incident, but much more dangerous.
[Health: 421/600]
Aaron looked up, and saw the skeleton rushing towards him at an unbelievable speed, so he did the only thing he could think of. He ran towards it.
Was he suicidal? No.
Once Aaron was about ten meters away from him, he turned around, and began running towards the wall. He reached the wall, and activated Arachnids Climb, as he stuck to the wall for a brief second. The skeleton slammed its claymore into the wall, as Aaron went to slash at it with his Bone Blade.
Aaron was then met with a flash of metal, as the skeleton pulled the claymore out from the wall, and barely deflected his Bone Blade, causing Aaron to falter a bit, giving the opposing skeleton enough time to deliver a bone shattering blow to Aaron's ribcage, shattering five bones.
[Health: 175/600]
[Warning! Low Health!]
Aaron was sent reeling to the floor, as his body seemed to become immobile.
The skeleton seemed to almost gloat a bit as it walked over. Like it was happy to have won. Once the skeleton had approached close enough, it lifted its sword into the air, and prepared to slam it into Aaron's skull.
That was when Aaron smiled internally, as his eyes glowed a bright red. He flung one of his ribs at the skeleton, who caught it, and as he was pulling it out of his vision, Aaron lept forwards, and slashed at the skull of the skeleton, driving his Bone Blade into its skull, whilst pushing the skeleton to the ground in the process.
Aaron stabbed at the skull of the skeleton multiple times, watching as the energy drained from its body. He then got a notification.
