A humanoid figure walked out from the forest, the face of the Hero shining brightly. "So, what did we miss while we were gone?" Both the Hero and None said in synchronisation. Aaron was shocked, but he decided to respond. "Eh, you didn't miss much. I disposed of a monster that had little intelligence, although it had fooled me into believing it was smart but other than that, you haven't missed anything. Although, I do need to ask. What changes have you made? You both look like the Hero, although there's something off about you...what did you change?" Aaron asked them, causing the pair to smile.
"Well, I modelled this body off of the Hero's old body, but I made some improvements to it if you know what I mean by that. I altered both my skin and the skin of the Hero. That is why the screams were so loud back there. If I were to reveal his skin to you, you'd find it scaly, but with TINY scales, making it almost impossible to see or feel, but a divine sword wouldn't get past that layer of skin. I don't know how, but I made an almost indestructible alloy of materials, allowing me to create such high durability skin. It also benefits me from him having that skin, as it'd boost my defence as well." None stated, revealing the hand to be very slightly shiny due to the scales. Wings shot out from his back, looking like bats wings, with a wingspan of around 16 metres, due to him being six feet tall. He was almost like Aaron's equal, but only in height. "We also grew wings, but that's only on my body. I'm not giving the Hero bat wings. After all, we want him to look normal if I ever stop possessing him." None explained.
"How do you feel about this, Hero?" Aaron asked the Hero, trying to get a better view of the situation. He was curious about what the Hero thought of this situation. "Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan, but it's apparent I don't have too much control over the situation, so I'm fine. Although, I am starting to see why you got a bit angry when I continuously insulted you. Definitely seems wrong to compare you to something like a Fire Ant." The Hero responded, leaving Aaron confused. He could guess what they were by the name, but he needed to ask just in case.
"This may sound stupid, but tell me, what is a Fire Ant? Is it an ant that is covered in flames?" Aaron asked, amazing the Hero. He didn't even know what a Fire Ant was. "A Fire Ant is not an ant coated in fire. It is a large bug that looks like an ant with red skin. It shoots flames from its breath, and its mandibles are coated in fire. It is unintelligent, and they travel alone or in packs, each having its own downsides." The Hero explained, and Aaron immediately could picture it in his head. "Wow. Well, I can certainly imagine some advantages and downsides to both of those, so you aren't wrong about the downsides." Aaron admitted, putting his hand against the back of his head. In this state of mind, he was easy to forgive past events, but if he wasn't in such a calm state, he would still be trying to kill the Hero.
"Listen, I'm pretty alright with you being around, as long as you don't try to take the child away. Humans have abused her enough, so I don't want her to be hurt in that way anymore. If you want, I can explain why she in specific was chosen by us to take along, but if you don't want to hear about it, it's completely understandable." Aaron told him, lighting a look of curiosity on the Hero's face. He hadn't listened to a word that Aaron was saying during their fight. "Sure, tell me. None probably already knows, but I don't, so I need to learn more about the people I'm around right now." The Hero admitted. "I didn't listen to anything that you were saying to me as I was trying to kill you, so I need to hear everything you want to tell me so I can actually register."
"Well, at least you're honest about this. I'll explain everything. It may be a bit long, and I only know so much about the situation, so forgive me if some blank spots are left." Aaron warned him before taking a deep breath and exhaling. "Clair is a girl with multiple personality disorder, and I don't know how she got it, but I'm guessing it's trauma-related. Her alternate personality has named itself Free and is the more psychotic of the pair. Not by much, but apparently, she suggested the most effective ways to do anything. Even if it included murder. This did not help her case, as she was taken in by that village over there." Aaron explained, pointing over towards the village which sacrificed her to the Demon King. "They don't treat people they take in well, meaning that she was stuck with the jobs nobody wanted, and she did not have a great way of living. She was then cast out to the Demon King, who is now dead, when he visited their village. I don't know what the Demon King had said to them, but they left her out to die, and he began to play with her. I only arrived on the scene around a minute or two before he became motivated to finally eat her, but I wasn't really feeling like letting a child die, so I killed the Demon King in his own domain. Apparently, they have stuff like that. Maybe I should try to make my own domain skill. It could be fun." Aaron continued, getting slightly off track, but the Hero was just left looking at him in shock.
"On just a whim? I severely underestimated you."
