After completing his demo class, Darian left the school in his car, heading back towards his home. Within a few minutes, he reached his destination, stepping out of his car to open the door. However, an unsettling feeling overcame him as he stood in place, observing the eerie silence that surrounded him.
"Was this place always this silence?" Darian muttered to himself, sensing an unusual stillness in the air. Unbeknownst to him, this silence was merely the beginning to an impending storm.
As Darian moved to open the gate and return to his car, intending to drive it into the garage.
BOOM!
A sudden and deafening explosion shattered the tranquility as His car exploded and caught on fire. The force of the blast sent Darian to the ground, and he coughed, feeling the sting of minor burns on his hands but thankfully escaping any serious injuries.
"Darian, run! Somebody's here," Ebonfang warned, appearing suddenly with a tone filled with caution. However, it was too late. A magical barrier materialized right before his eyes, encasing his house and some neighboring residences.
In the sky, six figures began to materialize in a line, and as Darian lay on the ground, he locked eyes with one of them, immediately recognizing him.
"Leon Astaroth." The name escaped Darian's lips as he he stood up his eyes looking at the six figure .
"Well, what do we have here? A descendant from the Lucifer clan who doesn't deserve it – a pathetic weakling who can't even bed his wife," Leon shouted with a smirk in his eyes, arrogantly displaying his superiority as he looked down on the black haired boy.
As Darian processed the situation, he couldn't help but wonder, "How in hell did he recognize me when I was using my second body?"
Darian, maintaining his composure, confronted Leon with confidence, "Leon Astaroth, what's the meaning of this? Are you trying to attack me? Don't you care about the consequences?" He subtly emphasized his position as Lucifer and the fact that his wife was the current leader of the underworld, making it seemingly illogical for Leon to attack him directly.
"Consequences? Hahhaaaaa," Leon laughed, descending to the floor with his five guards. "I am not afraid of anyone. I am Leon Astaroth, the Head of the Astaroth clan. So why should I fear anyone, and why?" he declared arrogantly.
"Well, truth be told, I actually came here for your father. But who could have thought I would find his hidden son in the human world?" Leon revealed, thinking that the boy in front of him was Darian's son.
"Heh!"
"What did you think? I couldn't know your identity? I already found every piece of information I needed. Well, I'm not all that surprised since his wife must have never let him touch her, so he must have come to the human world for some relief and got you," Leon proclaimed, weaving his own narrative about Darian's history.
Darian, frustrated by Leon's stupid assumptions, thought to himself, "What nonsense is this idiot saying?"
"But, Master, there is something weird. From what we know, Darian Lucifer never stepped out of his room for 50 years, so how could he have a child this young?" one of the five guards interjected. This particular guard, nicknamed "Blabbering Mouth," wore glasses and a fine suit like a butler, holding some documents tucked under his arm.
"So, what are you trying to say?" Leon asked, a hint of curiosity in his tone.
"Master, what I'm trying to say is that during the period when Darian Lucifer was locked, only Lady Emilie used to go inside his bedroom... ahhhhuhhhhhugghhgg."
Leon immediately seized the guard by the neck, choking him to silence. He pulled the man's face closer to his ear, warning, "Say it again. What were you trying to say?" Leon tried to convey the urgency of altering his sentence and say something else.
Unfortunately, the guard remained oblivious to the warning. "Master, I'm trying to say, could Lady Emilie could be his mother?" he blurted out receiving a punch from Leon that sent him sprawling to the ground.
As he continued stomping on the fallen guard, Leon's rage erupted, "You bastard! How dare you say that? Emilie is mine, and she can only have my children!" he shouted, his fury evident as he finally ceased the physical assault, leaving the guard on the ground.
Meanwhile, Darian frantically searched for a means of escape. Desperation crept in as he tried to activate a teleportation magic circle. "Why is it not activating?"
"Trying to escape? It's not of any use. We laid all our preparations before you came here. You can't escape," Leon declared with a cold glare, shattering any hope Darian had of evading the impending confrontation.
"At first, I wanted to just kill your father, but now I will give that bastard a gift. Do you know what that is?" Leon said, a maniacal smile on his face as he looked towards Darian.
"It will be your head, boy. I want to see his reaction when he sees his severed son's head. But don't worry, I will send your father immediately to the afterlife to accompany you," Leon declared, his words dripping with confidence and arrogance.
"You don't think you will get away with this," Darian retorted, attempting to stall for time as he desperately searched for a way out.
"Trying to stall time? I can read your words, and you don't need to worry. Nobody is going to find out what happened, and even if they do, so what? I am not afraid of anyone," Leon dismissed, reading Darian like an open book as he closed in, whispering in his ear, "Die."
As Darian instinctively backed away, he realized he couldn't sense Leon when he got so close.
"Ahahahhhhhh."
A sharp voice echoed from Darian as he fell to his knees, blood pouring out from the holes in them.
"You are also similar to your father—pathetic," Leon said disappointed, observing the boy in front of him who couldn't defend himself or even fight back. The dire situation seemed to reach a point of no return.
"Arghh!"
Darian's voice, filled with pain, resonated as he managed to stand and delivered a tight punch to Leon's face, making the powerful adversary take a few steps back. As Leon touched his face, a trickle of blood escaped from his lips.
"This bug dared to punch me," Leon seethed with anger, infuriated that a seemingly insignificant being had managed to hurt him.
"Serves you right," Darian retorted, his legs shaking as he struggled to stand, the holes in his knees evidence of the brutal assault. Even the guard who had cast the magic missile on his knees was surprised that Darian could actually have the strength to stand.
"You!" Leon exclaimed, retaliating with a punishing punch to Darian's abdomen. "Arghh," Darian voiced out, but he swiftly bit into Leon's arm.
"Arghhhh! Dammit, this dog is biting!" Leon shouted, grappling Darian's head to free himself. Leon's guards intervened, forcibly prying Darian's jaws open and kicking him away as he sprawled on the ground.
"Argh, it really hurts," Darian muttered, the sensation in his legs vanishing as he crumpled to the ground. The physical toll of the confrontation became increasingly apparent with the amount of blood he has lost.
"Of course it will hurt with that kind of injury," Ebonfang said, expressing slight pity for Darian's dire situation.
"Well, I guess I die a virgin again," Darian muttered, resigned to his fate. Powerless and lacking the knowledge to wield magic effectively, he knew he stood no chance against them.
"So, what are you thinking of doing now?" Ebonfang asked.
"What can I even do? I will just wait for a miracle," Darian replied, his face contorted with pain as he struggled to speak, having lost a significant amount of blood.
"Maybe you're right. Only a miracle can save you. How about this? Let me be that miracle. Just let me take over your body for a while," Ebonfang suggested, offering a potential solution.
"You won't take it forever, will you?" Darian inquired.
"Is it really the time for negotiation?" Ebonfang shot back.
"Just take it then. I will die either way. It could be best for you to have my body," Darian conceded with his last bit of strength, his vision fading to black.
"Kill that stupid boy. He's muttering like an idiot, and I don't want to dirty my hands by killing a bug," Leon ordered, annoyed by Darian's stupid muttering and thinking he has went insane.
"Yes, master," one of the guards with a sword obediently stepped forward, intending to sever Darian's head. Meanwhile, Leon turned around, not bothering to witness the act.
Suddenly, a splash of blood tainted Leon's face and clothes. "You idiot, I told you..." Leon began, only to stop as he saw his guard's head rolling on the ground. In its place stood the black-haired boy, but something was amiss – his eyes glowed red, and he wore a menacing smile with pointed teeth releasing a ominous presence.
"It's been a while since I felt blood on my hands"
