ARRESTED BY LOVE AND THE UNSEEN BATTLE

The following day of my life was full of Abigail's memory.

I felt different about her; absolute peace of mind and the warmth feeling I couldn't explain.

it came like a wild fire such that I could not resist. Truth be told, I had fallen in love with Abigail.

"No, no!" This can't be God, the devil is trying to pull me into another Immoral act. "David, it is time you caution yourself. What you are into with Betty, you have not accomplished for you to allow the devil drag you into the mud with Abigail." I cautioned myself

I tried hard to fight it, but the more I fought it, the more I was becoming helpless. I couldn't imagine the woman I saw in my office just yesterday.

How can all of a sudden Abigail of yesterday be that grown and matured was the question I couldn't lay off my heart.

Was it my heart deceiving me or what.

I went into the room and prayed asking God to help me. I cried out to him that I didn't want to go into another wrong.

After praying, it seemed like my heart was now floating even more with the the thought of Abigail.

I went on my knees again having the feeling that I had not prayed enough to breakthrough into the voice of God.

I prayed again crying on to him with mixed pains in my heart for why I was suffering in regard to my marital journey.

Still, there was no iota of response from God.

I stood to my feet and went to the sitting room and fell on the cushion.

Against every resistance, I picked my phone and searched for her number then called her.

"Hello daughter!" I came in

"Ah, papa good evening sir." she greeted

I asked how she was doing and when I noticed I was beginning to ask too many irrelevant questions, I told her that I only called to know how she was doing since our office meeting the day before, and we ended the call.

"I became infuriated and trashed the phone onto the cushion and scratch my head a bit.

"What is wrong with you David? Look at you, a high ranking man of God having sexual attachment for ladies." I became angry with myself.

"If I had married earlier, I won't have to face all this I'm going through. David! You are bigger than all this." I cautioned myself and went out of the house.

I almost vowed that I would not have any attachment towards Abigail to avoid my decay.

During the night when I went to bed, I had a terrible nightmare.

In it, a beast was chasing me again fiercely and I was running with all my might towards a white ray of light that flashed upfront.

The beast was laughing mystically and it was the voice of Betty I was hearing.

When I arrived at the ray of light, I saw that it had feet and spoke with the voice of man.

Immediately I recognized him and began to cry out to him.

"Lord! Lord! Please help me, I'm perishing, please help me.

"I have provided you with help, open your eyes and see. I have given you a weapon that would quench the arrows of the one that seems after thee. Pluck out the eye that causes thee to sin and I shall fix it with another. I have made for you a golden staff that would pursue what pursues thee. My son, See! See!!!!"

At this point, I jerked out of sleep and I was panting heavily.

"What could this be?" I asked carefully searching for the answer in my heart.

This was already morning. Understanding was not given to me about the dream until I was having my DEVOTION.

As I prayed, light steamed into my heart and I became convinced of what the Lord wanted me to see and until I see it, I won't be at peace.

I concluded that it was the will of God for me to marry Abigail even as there was still a fraction of doubt in my heart if this was truly coming from God.

I was entangled with Betty via her pregnancy. Disconnecting from her would be impossible without God's intervention.

"Well, it became a finality in my heart that I would not marry Betty but rather for the sake of the pregnancy patiently try to sort out how I would be disentangled with her."

As I was solving this further maths, My spiritual dad's call came in

I answered the call and he informed me that they had prayed about I and Betty and wanted to see me the following day unfailingly.

I was told to have Betty too in the meeting.

"nk! nk!!" A throat cleared

It was senator Moses and Bishop Timothy discussing in his church office

"Senator, anytime I think of you in Apostle David's ministry, it pains me to the morrow. Your being there is what is contributing growth to his ministry and changing the mindset of my members."

"Just look at it, our offerings, tithes and seeds have drastically reduced. We no longer receive much this days because of Apostle David. He has chased all of them away and gathered them to himself." Bishop Timothy spoke angrily.

"My lord Bishop Timothy, why talk like my being in Apostle David's church isn't part of the game? You know too well that I am there as an inner player of this game so that it can go smoothly, and so far we can all testify of successes recorded."

"Well that's true senator Moses. I think we are being waited upon. let's go and have a talk with the entire team."

"Where are we heading to again?" senator Moses asked

"This way senator." Bishop Timothy led the way coming out of the office.

The two went out of the office and soon were in the church auditorium which contained a fraction of people.

As they were about starting, Betty walked in and joined the meeting. When she walked in, everyone cheered her and she felt celebrated

"...Betty, you know your role in this game because it has been well explained. Please don't disappoint us!"

The meeting came to an end and a man of God was seeing dragging another towards a corner.

"I cannot in my entire life believe what my ears heard today. Where on earth is the church of God heading to that acclaimed men of God would sit down boldly and discuss the masterminded downfall of another." one said

"But I told you what you were coming here for." the other said

"You never did pastor Micheal. You only told me that i was going to be given some aid to ease the work of ministry."

"Yes and that's exactly what is ongoing in the auditorium."He pointed as ever attending was busy collecting money.

Each of them had a role to play in the pulling down of Apostle David.

"I promise you, I won't be part of that and I must make sure I report to Apostle David the calamity planned for him by you Calibre of people. This has taught me a great lesson." He said and stormed out

The other minister ran back and reported exactly what his colleague which he brought said.

"Then he must be put off at once. Call me Rascal" Bishop Timothy ordered and Rascal, the guy behind there crimes came forth

Details of the pastor were given to him

and he was to carry out the mission that night otherwise the big game may get to David. If this should happen, it would mark the end of the game as they would be exposed.

The following day, it was reported that the pastor was gruesomely murdered and his dead could not be traced.

The enemies were dangerous and could do anything to defend their secret.

"Abigail! hmm, I can't imagine being your husband." I said smiling as I turned on the bed and slept off waiting for the big day which I would appear before my spiritual parents with Abigail

I couldn't imagine what the other day contained, but I committed all into God's hands.
