Chapter 70

"Hmmm, the healing of Dragonstone is done? That fast?"

"It looks like they did not have too many people left on the island. Only a few thousand people left because of this plague, your highness."

"Is that so? Haaaa."

That is unfortunate. Well, I cannot do anything about it, I'm afraid. But, at least I manage to save the people that are still alive. I hope they did not hate me for getting there too late. Sometimes humans can do that.

"I'm afraid so, your highness."

"We cannot do anything then. What about the other, Bakir?"

"At the moment, we are healing the people in Greenstone, your highness. They are so grateful for your help, they are sending a large amount of Dragonglass, your majesty. If you did not like them they are willing to give you some gold or even their Ancestral Sword."

I get down from my throne and walk toward the crate filled with deep purple metal. When my hand touches the metal, I immediately know that this metal is filled with magic. A perfect catalyst and storage for magic.

This metal is even stronger than Diamond and Ruby for a magic conductor and mana storage. I don't know if this is more stable than Diamond, but its ability to conduct magic alone is good enough for me to create the magic staff I always wanted.

"No. Deliver my personal thanks to them and send some gifts to them."

"What kind of gift, your highness?"

"Hmmm, I hear they need some food because of the famine? Am I right?"

"That's right."

"Then send them some relief food. Grain and some smoked fish."

"Of course, your majesty."

"Good. The next one, I want to know which place our healer will go."

"The next one will be to the Griffin Roost, your majesty."

At the mention of his home, Jon Connington perks up and even smiles a little.

"That is good. Hmmm, you want to go to the Rainwood region?"

"Aye. I sent them to the Rainwood Region so we can have access to the Weeping Tower. We can trade with them in exchange for healing."

"Good job."

Weeping Tower is the hub for all traders who want to trade with the people of Stormland. From Weeping Tower, you can go to Stonehelm then you can use the river to go to the inner part of Stormland.

"I'm not worthy of your praise, your majesty."

"Anything else?"

"Yes. The Mayor of Stormfist found a gold mine in one of the mountains not too far away from the city of Myr. He asks you for permission to mine the newfound gold vein."

"How big is the vein?"

"I don't know, your majesty. The mayor told me it was a big vein but he did not know the exact size."

"Mine it and then use that gold to rebuild the city. Use the gold to make sure our project is finished."

"Of course, your majesty. I will tell the mayor about this news."

I nod my head.

"Good. Anything else coming from Stormfist?"

"Yes. They are asking if you are willing to lend them our Shipwright. They want to build a fishing ship and continue their job as a fisherman. Sadly, all of their shipwrights are dead because of the plague."

"Granted. Send ten of our Shipwright to Stormfist and pay them double if they can finish it in half time without lowering the quality of the ship."

"Of course."

"Is that all of it?"

"Aye. That is all for today."

"Very well. If there is something, I will be in my experiment room."

I walk away from the throne room with one of the crates filled with the Dragonglass.

~A few days later~

I push a little bit more mana into the project I'm currently working with and see it shine. Then, after a few minutes, I stop the mana flow and smile a little.

I pick up the sword from the table, and my smile gets bigger. The sword is purple in color with many runic formations engraved into it. This runic formation has a few functions to help me cast my magic and make this sword formidable.

The first one is Mana Reduction runic formation. This lets me cut any mana consumption from a spell being cast from this sword by half and even the third of the original cost for a certain magic spell.

The second one is Mana Absorption and Mana Flow runic formation that lets the Mana Reduction formation to work. By absorbing the mana from the air and letting it flow quickly, it lets the Mana Reduction work.

The third one is Magic Enchantment runic formation. It will increase the potency of any magical spell I cast through this sword. It only increases by five to seven percent, but it will be good enough for the first try.

The fourth is Durability enchantment. Dragonglass is a brittle metal that can easily be destroyed, but by carving this runic formation at the body of the sword, it can be compared to Valyrian Steel in terms of durability.

The fifth one is Sharpness Enchantment. As the name suggests, this runic formation lets the sword be a super sharp weapon that can cut anything I test so far. Even Valyrian steel is not enough to stop this enchantment.

The sixth is something I just recently created. This runic formation lets my sword always safely land on my hand. Combine it with my power over space and gravity; I can summon this sword to my hand anytime I want.

The last one is Thief Prevention runic formation. I created this formation to ensure any thief who tries to steal a sword is electrocuted. I also add something to ensure that only my family bloodline can use it if they are worthy to wield this sword. I got this inspiration from Excalibur from the King Arthur story.

Now, I need to test this sword.

I get out of my room and get ready to walk to the training ground, but when I get out of the room, I can see Bakir running toward me.

"Your majesty! Your Majesty!"

"What is Bakir? What is it?"

"We have a situation, your majesty!"

"What kind of situation?"

"Bad one. Faith Militant decides to take arms and surround our healer in the Old Town. They declare an emergency state and declare a crusade against our healer."

What? Are they stupid?!

"Sent a letter to Jon Arryn. Prepare all of the ships we have. We will send the third of our force to Westeros! This is a declaration of war. I want an answer from Jon Arryn. If this is not his order, I want the Faith to be punished! You don't attack a healer! That is a basic rule!"

"Yes, your majesty! Will you come as well?"

"Yes. I will lead this expedition. They dare to attack a healer who is sent to help them. I need to come."

"Of course, your majesty."

I quickly walked toward my room to prepare some armor. I hope this is only a fanatical action, not because someone decides to manipulate them to do something stupid. I can understand a fanatic but a manipulator? Especially the one who is scheming against me? Well, I hope they have a good life because their life is on a time limit.
