Monster Continent?

We took our sweet time on our way out of the forest and after a few more days, we made it out of the forest. Carmilla, Richard, and I thought that we would emerge to see the few daring humans who want to challenge this forest for its rewards, but we instead saw a massive griffin who stared at our group with a menacing gaze. It donned an orange coat with red streaks in some areas. It had the head of an eagle, the body of a lion, and the claws of a hawk.

The griffin continued eyeing us before it surprisingly spoke up. "You have gone into the forest and exited it with your sanity intact and for that, I shall let you pass and escape this damp hellhole." We stared at it in awe before we saw Zephyr look at the griffin in excitement as she tried to intimidate it, but failed miserably as the griffin dwarfed her immensely. "This young one is quite lively, she will grow to become an excellent tidal weaver in the future. I looked at it in surprise before asking, "How did you know that she would evolve into a tidal weaver, I thought that she didn't exist in this part of the world as I had never heard of it despite my extensive research of the Dry Bone Forest."

"I have lived for millennia and have seen more things than words you have said. I am afraid to say though that the requirements for her evolution are quite difficult for you three to satisfy, almost impossible." The griffin stared into the distance as he said so as though he was reminiscing about its younger days. "I believe you want to know how to evolve this young one but that is something you have to find out yourselves."

I was a bit disappointed at the griffin's words and so were Carmilla and Zephyr but we paid no mind to it. I had one more question to ask before leaving though. "Do you know of any healing spell that can return a person to their peak condition or at the very least heal dismembered limbs?" The griffin thought for a bit before shaking its head and saying, "I know of an archmage in a nearby city who has high-level healing spells but whether or not she will help you is up to her.

"Tell her that a certain griffin sent you all and if she doesn't believe you, mention the incident of Havencroft. She will believe you then and hopefully help you guys out." We sincerely thanked him and made our way forward, but something he didn't mention was how we somehow ended up on the continent inhabited by monsters. "I thought the only way to cross over to the monster's continent was to go through the battlefield," Richard spoke about what was on my mind.

I thought Carmilla would know something, but it seems like she seems just as fazed as us seeing as how she looked puzzled when Richard spoke. "How can you even tell that we are on Yuggoth, I thought that we were on human ground. I sighed before calmly asking, "How much do you know about our world?" Carmilla shook her head slowly with an apologetic smile.

Our world's name is Alara, and it is home to various creatures, races, and cultures. It has a wide range of landscapes from sprawling deserts to dense forests, towering mountains to vast oceans. This world is filled with ancient ruins, hidden treasures, and powerful magic.

There are two sole continents, Yuggoth and Andur, belonging to monsters and humans respectfully. Yuggoth is often referred to as the grim land, but it translates as Void Reach. It is filled with multitudes of races and is located in the northern area of the world. Yuggoth has a hierarchy system as well and is divided into 6 countries. These countries are ruled by the strongest of their respective races in most cases. There are 8 main races living in Yuggoth, with some being under the care of stronger races. These races are the Vampires, the Lycans, the Elves, the Druids, the Dwarves, the Witches, the Lamias, and the Dragons.

These races are known to be the main races as they are born with intelligence and they have a large population in Yuggoth. The dragons, vampires, and elves are the strongest races due to their extremely long lifespans however, due to their long lifespans, their reproductive capabilities are lacking compared to other races, and are the only main races with minuscule populations. The countries in Yuggoth are as mentioned:

Vampires: Crimsonvale

Lycans: Lupusgard

Elves: Silvandria

Druids: Verdantwild

Witches: Cauldronmire

Lamias: Gorgonspeak

Dragons: Wyrmspire

The countries have names in the global monster language, Qaharim however they were changed to encourage monsters to learn the human language as well.

Qaharim is divided into two dialects, Qahjal and Qahvé. Qaharim is basic vocabulary spoken all over while tribal and urban civilizations mostly speak Qahjal and Qahvé. Richer people often despise Qahjal as it sounds crude and unrefined compared to Qahvé but they have learnt to mask their dislike for it.

I apologize for the delayed publishing but I am taking some difficult exams so I need to focus on my studies for a bit
