Awkward Family Time

We all eat dinner together but my Father and Grandfather stay quiet the whole time. Their attitudes were starting to upset me... After dinner, we move to the living room to talk and have fruit for dessert. My Father finally breaks his silence "So Alec, tell me, what is it you do?" My Father asks with a stern face. Alec turns to my father saying "I'm currently unemployed. I'm treating it like a small vacation." My Father and Grandfather frown at the same time as my mother nods thoughtfully.
