I walk into the house to find Maya on the floor with Chip sitting next to her. I quickly walk over with a frown. "What happened?" I ask in concern but Chip quickly tells me to "Shhh" With his black paw. He walks over and whispers "I'm glad you're back... You can watch her now. I'm starving so I'm going to go get something to eat."

"She had a bad headache and wanted to sleep it off," Chip says walking past me. I frown and look back to Maya on the floor. Why was she on the floor? I look back to Chip in question but he's already gone.

I slowly move over to her and tilt my head as I stare down at her. She seems a little pale... I squat down next to her and place my head on her forehead. She's frowning like she's in pain... and she's slightly warm.

"Maya..." I call her trying to wake her up but she doesn't stir. I frown and scoop her up. I lift her up and carry her to the room. I gently lay her down and pull the blankets up around her. Was she getting sick?
