Sight: The Rise Of My Crystal Eyes

"Flee, or I will look at you." ______ The story revolves around Silver, a 16-year-old boy with, well, two extraordinarily good eyes. Silver led a relatively ordinary life, frequently winning or losing things. He didn't really do much other than read webnovels, occasionally engage in sports, and research eye-related things. Yet, soon after all of this, he was about to witness a complete overhaul of everything! Not because he was intrigued. He has been since reincarnated into a different world, as fate destined it for him. With a given quest to save the world, "Asylna" from the Demon Invasion. But does this end his fixation with keeping the allegedly "Best Eyes in the World," or does it merely_ make his ridiculous quest in Asylna, only more intense? ______ My first novel, but not your generic isekai novel. ;-; i am bad at writing synopsis, but the book is good so please do give it a read, thanks

Rebirth of The Crystal Eyes

To speak of my past life, at Earth, it wasn't special.

I had great eyes, and people often praised me for it. I loved that. In fact, all the little joys that my small life had given me, most was for this eyes, to be frank. I also had a few friends. Being a little of introverted, I didn't share many good memories with them. The only thing I shone for aside from my eyes was football I guess, I enjoyed it too...

Before my uncle died, which was one year before my reincarnation, he lent me a book he wrote. It was a biology book, that was written so perfectly, I remember. Perhaps it inspired me to write my own book someday. So I really did.

And then my very first research article published on a science event, bought me a first prize. I didn't expect it to the least truly. That day, I went to my uncle's grave and thanked him one last time. As I never returned to that grave again.

[You have died. As for penalty, your level has decreased to LVL - 1.]

[You are being transported to the White Realm.]

[...]

"Gah!"

I woke up in the void. For a split second I expected everything that just happened to be a nightmare but sigh. As I regained my consciousness I noticed that I was in the white void again. I really died then, I understood.

What a bad morning it was.

The white emptiness of the void quickly depressed me as I reminded myself how Flamey was dead and all that for my foolishness. Only if I had turned on my Lie Detection skill beforehand, or even not fight Elfiano in the first place...

So naive... So damn naive...

But I regained my composure soon enough. To frustrate oneself about the past for long is naive as well.

The person, whoever it was, as it was not Fiad afterall but he took his disguise so perfectly, my tremendous hatred suddenly spirited up in the next moment. That liar...

He wasn't Fiad. But he described things so accurately that happened between us. Perhaps, Fiad was alive somewhere as well.

In any case, my goal was to take revenge against that bastard... Liar.. 'Liar, you are..' that's what I decided to call him until I get his name. And also Aveiro, the marksman, both of them killed me.

"Silver," something called behind me.

That ancient tone, the unique voice let me know that it was but the Face. I turned back and to my horror...

The Face appeared... So terrifying. I couldn't explain it. That shape just... If that was even a shape, it would be the embodiment of fear.

"Silver.. Vi Mria.." it continued, "You have disappointed me."

Oh, of course I did.

"I am sorry," I apologised as if the apology would come in any benefit.

"How pathetic could you be, and I, expected you to be the success to Axia."

"I let you down." said I. Completely agreeing to His words.

"Now then with this, my privilege upon you ends."

"Privilege?"

"I had given you the best of worst, and saved you from your teammates. A gift cannot be taken back. But you shall not receive any more. Except! Only, only this time. The very last reward for you, is now."

I kept quiet.

"Then, failed Hero, you have three options. Go back to your world, Go to hell or Go back to Asylna and retry to complete the quest. If the third, you shall be sent back with a flaw."

"The third."

"Are you sure, failed Hero? If you fail yet again, then there's no barrier between your soul and the hell. Unless of course, you meet certain exceptions."

"I don't even want to know the exceptions. I want to kill somebody. So, the third."

"Curious choice, failed Hero."

It's felt so weird to be called 'failed Hero'.

"And what's my 'final reward' from you?"

"Choose. Choose to enhance any of your skills to the highest peak. This is the only reward you shall receive. While other Heroes shall receive tons and tons over the years."

"Is there any apparent 'exception' I can make by doing certain things?"

"Only by completing the quest."

"Oh, well. I choose to enhance my Crystal Eyes then." answered I, after thinking for a while.

"Your reward has been granted. Failed Hero. And news! You are the only one among the fifty Heroes who have already died but still chose to go back and complete their quest. Must I say then, win. Failed Hero."

"Yeah wish me luck." said I, reluctantly. I almost thought I wouldn't be able to kill that liar. How dare they hurt my eyes...

Nobody should live after insulting my eyes.

[You are being transported to Asylna.]

[You have been successfully reincarnated.]

....

I woke up.

And so weak I felt. But the truth was, I didn't become weak, it was just that I had become so much more powerful leveling up all that while that it felt damn weak to be level one again.

Jeez.

I opened my eyes.

"Oh. This is some... Hellish eyes.."

My eyes, I cannot describe the sight. Just know that, I could see... Everything.

I was reincarnated right back at the throne. Two hands on the two pillars of it, and I was yet again wearing that same classical mage robe. In front of me, there were two other thrones, which respectively belonged to Aisy and Erio. I had no idea when would be the next time I meet them.

One thing was, I didn't even turn on my Crystal Eyes yet, but I could already see beyond and through everything on command. In fact, from that cave, I could see the petrified stones in Antarah.

That is.. how scarily precise my vision became.

"Check profile."

I returned before the screen.

"That can't be.." I blinked twice and looked at it again. "It's more than overpowered! It's literally broken."

"Seriously..." I laughed, "And I thought it was the end for me. Gosh..."

Next, I had to look at the apparent flaw I received. "Emotion Echo" that was a weird name, but I clicked.

[FLAW: Emotion Echo

FLAW DESCRIPTION: When you stare in somebody's eyes you will feel the same emotion as them.]

"What! What the hell!??" I was puzzled. That sounded ridiculously stupid to me. But at least, I thought, it was as bad. What if I got some curse like you are now mute or deaf. It couldn't be much worse, right?

I stared outside the cave. It was a dark night. The red glimpses in the sky looked as fabulous as always. I wasn't tired. I decided to climb up and go out of the cave. Alone, this time.

It wasn't as hard, like before. And I could see just fine in the darkness. As I came out, the frightening good vision of mine only scared me more. I looked at the river in front, and I could see the little baby crab-like fish deep-like underneath the river.

Jeez.

I hoped to get used to this real quick.

Then had I only one thing to do. Walk through the whole dang forest again...

I took up a long breath and walked and walked until my feet almost got tired. How long the night is! I even encountered some slimes on my way. Then deadbulls, I could see the lair of a new Giant Slime as well. So, I decided to kill it and check out my newly gained power. Experience is of great need, of course.

"Devaste," I uttered it again.

Welp, it didn't work. Of couse it was stronger than me. I planned to lay out the old method again.

"Crystalize!"

Not to my surprise, the Giant slime, over one kilometer away turned into a giant blob of red crystal. It used to be purple before.

Then I did it again. "Devaste!" Not that I needed to say it. As the description said if I only desired, it would be exploded but I prefer to say it anyways. Why? I don't know. I used watch alot of anime in my childhood.

BOOOM!

A massive explosion woke the entire forest. Luck had it for me that I was very far. The blast killed every monster within an around three meter radius from the Giant slime. I was left shocked. I didn't even want it to be such a big explosion. That reminded me, however, I was supposed to be able to control my blasts.

Within this outright forest fire that I just lit up, I again found another Giant slime after slight searching and this time, I crystalized it first but when uttering Devaste this time, I slowed down.

I imagined the slime getting exploded like before, but the explosion would be a far smaller and considerably less impactful.

"Devaste!"

This time, it went how I wanted it to go.

The slime came in pieces and the forest experienced another nightmare. A much, much smaller nightmare now, though.

With that done, I casually restarted to walk on my way to Antarah, as though nothing had happened.

Easy night, really.

Of course, never in a world was I about to sleep at night again....
