Visiting Mystic Falls.

She slid down to the floor, the door closed behind her. She sobbed softly. Her arms around the picture.

Klaus Mikaelson's hand was on the other side of the door. He wanted to go inside. He wanted to comfort her. He wanted to tell her that he was there for her.

"I will always be here, Caroline Forbes." He walked out of the building. "I promise. I will never let you cry again."

After that day, Caroline didn't take the bus she usually took. She and Klaus sat on the bus station, they sat down, and talked. This was the only time in her day she felt sane.

"Why did you leave town, Caroline?" He asked her.

"I guess, I just got tired of the small town." She told him.

He listened carefully.

"I think a part of me always wanted more than small town life."

She was repeating his words. He had said that to her a few years ago. He smiled. He was right.

The bus stopped in front of them.

"That's me!" She told him.

"Always running away from me, Caroline!" He chuckled.

"It's more fun this way." She got on the bus.

He waved.

Her phone rang, she took it out, and took a seat on the bus.

It was Elena Gilbert,

"Caroline Forbes, you are coming back home from the next flight available!" Caroline put her ear buds in.

"I can't…" Caroline started to say.

"I am getting married!"

"You guys finally picked a date?" Caroline squealed.

Several people turned and looked at her. "Sorry."

She made an apologetic face,

"So, Are you coming?" Elena asked anxiously.

"Of course, I am coming!" She told her.

Caroline Forbes was going back to Mystic Falls after six months.

Caroline ran down the stairs, she was late. Her alarm didn't go off. She ran quickly, down the stairs and across the street. She bumped into someone on the way.

"Oh…I am sorry!" She turned around. "Nik...I mean, Klaus. Hi!"

She looked at him.

"Going somewhere, Caroline?" He looked at the bag.

"Yes…" Caroline told him, "I am going back home, my best friend's marrying my brother in law!"

She told him. She stopped for a moment.

"You know what?" She told him. "You should come! I am going to be incharge of the party!"

She told him.

"Caroline Forbes, are you asking me out?" He raised his eyebrows.

"Nik...Klaus..Can you stop being so weird all the time!" She told him.

She looked at her wrist watch.

"I have to go.." She told him, "But I'll see you there?"

"I'll be there." He smiled.

"I'll see you there!" She ran and shouted. "Nik..Klaus...You have a very difficult name!" She waved and got in a cab.

Klaus Mikaelson didn't move till he could no longer see the cab.
