Cai Wei knocked on the door and informed her that Master Lin is looking for her in his study.

Lin Chujiu entered her eldest uncle's study with an air of lively confidence, her spirits soaring. The transformation in her personality was unmistakable, a vibrant energy replacing the shadows of the past.

Both her eldest uncle and aunt were engrossed in their work, but as soon as they noticed Chujiu's presence, they looked up with warm smiles.

In front of her eldest uncle and aunt, Chujiu couldn't resist turning her transformation into a full-fledged performance.

"Behold, Want to see a Little fairy?" she announced with a sweeping gesture, as if revealing a masterpiece.

Eldest Uncle raised an eyebrow, "Oh where is she?"

"Of course she is right in front of you!" she replied with a cheeky grin.

Chujiu removed her veil and Master Lin and Madam Lin are stunned. They couldn't believe their eyes.

Chujiu's skin, once yucky from the poison, now glowed! It was smooth and healthy, like the clearest water. One couldn't see any spots now, just perfect skin. And this change wasn't just outside, it made her feel strong and happy inside too. Her eyes, which used to be sad, now sparkled with life!

Chujiu's hair, once affected by the poison, was now amazing. It felt like smooth silk and looked shiny, like the healthiest hair you've ever seen. Each strand caught the light beautifully, framing her face like a perfect crown.

Now that she wasn't held back by her past problems, Chujiu looked like she had a bright and powerful future ahead of her.

There is a mirror in the side on the study, Chujiu went in front and stared into the mirror…

Master Lin and Madam Lin are pleasantly surprised and found their little jiu even more cute. They went near her and stood by her side.

Eldest Aunt chuckled, "You seem quite pleased with yourself."

"Pleased? Oh, I'm beyond pleased. Ahh why am I so beautiful!" Chujiu continued, striking a pose. "If beauty were a crime, I'd be serving a life sentence!"

Eldest Uncle is amused and chimed in, "Well, I must say, our Lin Family's little darling is quite impressive."

Chujiu winked, "Impressive? Uncle, this is a masterpiece! The world is not ready for this level of fabulousness. I'm like a walking, talking work of art."

Eldest Aunt teased, "Can't you be a bit modest?"

"Modesty? Oh, it took a vacation. It's 'Chujiu's Time to Shine' now!" she declared.

The trio burst into laughter, enjoying the infectious energy Of Chujiu, her uncle and aunt were all smiles. They just forgot all the stress and had a peaceful moment after a long time.

After that Master Lin explained why he called her.

Every year, a hunting competition is conducted by the royal family to entertain members of royal families and aristocrat families.

Usually children below 15 are not involved but this time for some unknown reason the emperor invited many children above 10 years. They could be considered as younger generation. The reason emperor gave is that let senior younger generation train their juniors. He mentioned that it is a good opportunity for children to step out and gain experience under the protection of their brothers and sisters.

After listening to the explanation, Chujiu asked, "When is it Uncle?"

Master Lin answered, "15 days from now. Its 20 days early than regular."

Chujiu sneered, "Uncle, don't you think its too much of a coincidence."

Both Madam Lin and Master Lin looked at each other, they did not take this issue much seriously before. Isn't it a regular hunting session that is conducted every year?

Are they missing something?

Chujiu said her hypothesis, "Uncle and Aunt, it seems like the emperer is targeting the Lin family. To be precise, he is targeting me. First, unlike before this time all 10+ younger generation are included too. Second, it is brought 20 days forward. All my brothers are away now and no one in the Lin family younger generation except me can go. They will come back around next 3 weeks from now. If usual timeline is followed, they would have joined as well."

Madam Lin clenched her fists and said seriously, "You are just a child, how can he be so shameless to target a child and what is his intention?"

Master Lin seriously thought for sometime and said, "I think the people who targeted our family with dark elemental energy does not involve the emperor, dad thinking must be true. People who wants to eliminate Lin family seems to be one of the other kingdoms and Song family must have colluded with them."

Madam Lin agreed and said, "Of course dad words are true, but what about this wretched emperor now. We should deal with this right away or else Little Jiu will be targeted."

wretched emperor... Madam Lin seems like she is disgusted with the emperor.

Chujiu looked playfully at Madam Lin, "Darling aunt, you have some story with this 'Wretched' emporer right?"

Her bright eyes are sparkling and her ears perked up eager to listen to the gossip.

Master Lin gritted his teeth and almost shouted, "You are looking for a spanking aren't you?"

Chujiu made face at her uncle, pulled her Aunt and left to the garden leaving a heartfelt laughter in the study room.

Master Lin shook his head and thought, 'my little nine is becoming too naughty'. He never took Chujiu as his younger brother's daughter. He always treated her as his own. Not just him but everyone in the Lin family treat Chujiu as their own. After all they are connected by blood.

Master Lin took a deep breadth, he cannot let anything happen to Chujiu. If that wretched emperor want to target little Jiu, he could only do so upon his dead body. 

Still isn't there a sister protecting demon in the forbidden area of Lin family. So what if almost all Lin family younger generation are left on missions. There is still one person left, who is currently cultivating in the forbidden area of the Lin manor.
