Demons. They remain a bone of contention in the intellectual community. We do not truly know if they exist or not. We do not even know what they are. But even with the absence of proof, we simply cannot rule out their existence. There are things in this world that we, KOTS, with all of our combined knowledge cannot explain.

I spotted them first—the Keshik. They moved like shadows on the horizon, their armor glinting in the last fading light. Behind them came the elders, their robes fluttering slightly in the wind, as if they, too, carried the weight of what was to come. My pulse quickened. This was going to be big. The air felt heavy, as though the atmosphere itself was burdened with some unspeakable tension.
