Meeting an ex

"That's all, the meeting is over" Aliya dismissed the late morning meeting of Adam's project, the head of the departments got up to leave before Aliya stopped them as a sudden realisation fall upon her.

"Where's the manager?" She asked looking around and to their faces after she couldn't find her uncle among the staffs. They look at each other before shaking their heads showing they don't know or don't actually wanna say it which aggravates her.

"Call his secretary here" Aliya demanded her face hardening at every second she remember how he called her incompetent and now, he is not present in an important meeting without giving a reason to her.

Few minutes after the call was made to his office the secretary came in running into the board meeting room.

"Good morning ma'am, how can...".

"Where's Mr. Qasim?" Aliya cut her off with a cold voice scaring the older woman who couldn't understand what she had done wrong.
