Chapter 4

Shreya's POV:

Everything for the competition was ready, and tomorrow was the final day.

In the evening, Raghav and my team decided to go out to a cafe. It was a Korean cafe, but I wasn't a fan of Korean cuisine. However, majority rules, so I went along.

I was wearing a white midi dress with yellow flowers printed on it, paired with white sneakers and gold-colored earrings. I don't like to wear a lot of makeup, so it was just a natural look with a slight wavy hairdo.

When I reached the cafe, no one was there yet since I arrived early. Then I saw a sleek male figure approaching me. It was Vihan, and he looked handsome.

He came over, and we went inside the cafe to sit at a table. There was an awkward silence between us, as he was busy on his phone, not showing much interest in talking.

I decided to break the silence and asked him, "Vihan, where do you come from?"

Vihan replied, "137."

(How mean he is! Anyway, I have to bear it. One day, he'll definitely have to talk to me.)

"Oh, that's great. I also come from sector-137. Which block?" I asked.

"Why are you interested in it?" Vihan questioned.

"No, no, no. I was just asking as a friend," I quickly responded.

"No, you are not my friend. Make that clear in your mind," Vihan retorted.

I felt very sad, tears threatening to roll down my cheeks, but I managed to hold them back. Then Avni and Ruhanika arrived, cheering me up just by being there. Finally, Raghav and Ananya also joined us, and we started chatting about the project and some school gossip. We ordered some food; I didn't like the options, so I settled for noodles. Vihan also didn't like the food and just ordered an iced tea.

As we were enjoying the meal, suddenly Vihan's phone rang. In his haste to answer it, he knocked over the iced tea, spilling it all over my white dress.

Instead of getting angry or cleaning it up, my emotional side took over, and tears filled my eyes as I started sobbing.

Everyone tried to console me, and then I gathered myself and went to the washroom with Avni to clean up.

"He could have at least apologized," I said emotionally without thinking that there is Avni as well with me. "He has ruined my mood and my dress. If I didn't like him, I would have fought with him."

Avni asked, "Wait, do you like Vihan?"

"Ahaan... not bad, huh? So you were hiding this from us. That's not fair, Shreya. That's why you blushed every time Raghav mentioned Vihan. Nice girl. Well, at least someone in our trio likes someone and will be committed soon. This singleness will leave us," Avni remarked.

"Don't think that much. I just have a crush on him, nothing more than that. But promise me you will not tell anyone, not even Ruhanika. She will surely kill me for crushing on that guy. And I am also not sure about him, so let's leave it here," I said.

"Okay, I will not say anything to Ruhi for two weeks, but then you have to tell her," Avni agreed.

"Okay, bro! Deal," I replied.

We came out of the washroom, and it was already past 10. We said goodbye to each other, and Ananya left with his driver, while Raghav accompanied him as their homes were on the same way.

I was supposed to leave with Ruhi, but Avni interrupted and suggested that since Vihan and I come from the same sector, why don't I join him? I understood her hint, and surprisingly, Ruhi agreed to it.

We took the metro, and throughout the journey, Vihan didn't say anything to me, nor did I try to start a conversation. I was angry about his behavior. When we exited from the metro, he asked which block I lived in, and I replied, "H-31."

We took an auto from there, and as I was about to reach my house, the three magical words came out of his mouth, "I am sorry." But I pretended not to hear and asked, "What?"

Angrily, he said, "You have arrived."

(How mean, arrogant, rude, and sophisticated he is. All the bad words are just made for him.) And with that, I went straight into my house without even looking at him.
