Chapter 12

"Well, I don't need anything actually. I have power to do what I want and get what I want whether it was information or anything. But you can help me by telling me the history of the underworld and provide me with several kinds of books about magic spells and others that I will tell you when I think about it later." Daniel said what he wanted.

Although he may seem did all of that just to seek something but he didn't need anything. He just could spread his shadows to gather information for him and no one will find anything.

The power of the Shadow Monarch was simply too good and amazing and so versatile and Daniel would use it to reach his goal.

Finding his wife.

He wanted to know about the history of the underworld to know if things were different. Just observing Zeotiucs's personality and the way he talked made him suspicious and think that things were different than the original. The characters and their personalities were different. Sirzechs had a wife who wasn't Grayfia but she still the queen of his peerage.

And regarding Rias, he wouldn't train her personally, just make Grayfia do the job while he could make one of his shadows to help her a little.

Currently he felt like a person living in a new and strange place, knowing nothing about it and trying to adapt.

He was like that.

When Venelana heard this, she sighed in relief as she thought that he would demand something outrageous, although she didn't know what it would be.

But definitely it won't be the thing in her head right now.

Right now, she thought that he would have her to serve him with her body and do this and that with her. But Daniel wasn't a person like that, he only had one woman and he would be loyal to her and never go search for other women.

Although the woman in front of him was beautiful but in his eyes, nothing more beautiful than his wife. Although he didn't meet her yet but he felt that she would be so beautiful like before or even better.

So he was looking at Venelana with a disinterested gaze, unfazed by her beauty.

The said woman who noticed his gaze began suspecting if she wasn't beautiful anymore and old age got her.

Anyway, she got that thought out of her mind at the moment.

It was unnecessary thought tho.

"Ahem, then Mr. Daniel, I accept your offer."

"Good." He said with calm tone before Venelana nodded and looked at Grayfia.

"Grayfia, you will train Rias here and help her get stronger while I will deal with the matters in the underworld and cover you up so no one knows where are you."

"Yes, Madame." The silver haired maid said while bowing to Venelana who nodded.

"Now, let me tell you about our history." She said while looking at Daniel with serious gaze.

Then began telling him about the history of the underworld. While listening, Daniel nodded and confirmed the similarities between what she said and what he knew from the anime.

Everything was the same except some changes in the personalities of some key characters like Sirzechs and Zeotiucs.

This confirmed his suspicions about the story and the plot.

Not everything is the same, although there are some similarities but there are also some differences and the proof was Zeotiucs himself who seem to be planning for something he doesn't know, but not for long as Daniel was planning on spreading several shadows in the underworld to gather information for him.

The shadows will stick to all powerful characters he knew from the anime and Zeotiucs being one of them. Daniel felt like he had something big behind him.

However, this is for later, and right now he need to strengthen the barrier around the mansion and make it more powerful.

In this world, unexpected things can happen anytime and anywhere.

After Venelana finished telling the story, Daniel nodded in satisfaction and Venelana along with Grayfia and Butler returned to the underworld.

Of course Daniel didn't forget to put several shadows in each of their shadows without them noticing. After all he couldn't trust anyone in this world, not even them.

Once they arrived in the underworld, the shadows would spread and attach themselves to those that Daniel described to them.

After all, his shadows were the most trusted soldiers and allies to him. Fanatics with deep loyalty, no one could betray him at all.

'Now with planting the information network gathering in the underworld using my shadows, I need to do the same in Heaven and the human world as well. Besides, I'm thinking of searching for new soldiers.'

'All of this just to find her, huh. Well, she deserves it all. Beside, having a huge information base could benefit me in several situations.'

Daniel was thinking of doing what he did to gather information from the underworld to the Heaven as well as the human world. Although it will be difficult for the human world as they are too much in numbers.

Heaven is easy as he just need to attach his shadows to the Seraphs and their leader Michael.

But how could he enter the heaven? He didn't know a way for that.

Daniel began wondering on how he will do it until suddenly a thought flashed in his mind.

'Isn't the holder of the boosted gear live here in this town? And inside that gear, the soul of one of the two heavenly dragons dwells. The Red Dragon Emperor of Domination or whatever his name is.'

'As far as I know, his soul is connected to the system of the Heaven that the Heavenly Father created before he died. In the system, he is alive, so if I turned him into one of my shadow soldiers then that will trigger some alarm in the system making Michael search for the source in the human world while at the same time I get a strong shadow in my arsenal, two birds with one stone, I think.'

Indeed if Daniel turned Ddrig into one of his shadows, he will disappear from the system which would alert Michael and force him to make a move to search for the source of disappearance.

At this point in time, Ddrig was still asleep inside the boosted gear waiting for the protagonist to wake him up, but that wouldn't happen as Daniel will turn him into one of his fanatic loyal soldiers.

Just the thought of getting a new powerful solider excited him.

Anyway, now it was dinner time and he wanted to cook something for himself, Shuri and Akeno. After all they trained the whole day while he was having a conversation with Venelana in the living room.

Getting up, he went to the kitchen and started to cook. And during that, he was talking with his Grand Marshall, Bellion as he had some comments on the deal he made with Venelana.

[My Liege, may I know your intentions from making this girl named Rias to train here?]

'Why you think I have intentions?'

[Because it will not benefit you by anything, there is no gain you will get from training her. Even the information you got from that woman wasn't that important or big deal to you.]

'It's true that training Rias will not get me anything and as you said, there is no gain. But what Venelana Gremory said was something I needed to know to ensure my doubts.'

[Your doubts?]

'Yeah, from my observations of Zeotiucs I figured out that this world may differ from what I know. Although the old war was the same but the those who are moving in the dark are slightly different.'

[Huh.]

'I suspect that Zeotiucs has a relation to the old faction and planning along with Lord Phenex to do something big in the underworld that may turn the tides and cause a huge uproar in the three realms.'

[What do you mean my Liege?]

'You know from my earlier talk with Venelana Gremory the story of the old war, right?'

[Yes. About the war between the three factions, the Devils, Fallen Angels and Angels. Beside the war between those called the Old Satan Faction and the New Four Maous]

'That's right, the new four Maous, at that time weren't known like that, knew that the war will lead to no end and just cause losses and casualties everywhere, but they knew that the old satans won't agree with peace as they only sought destruction and wanted to spread their authority over the three realms and act like how a devil should be. So they made an army called the Rebel army and fought with the old satans, that of course caused a civil war, but likely there were no casualties between civilians and the war ended with the victory of the new generation of satans.'

[Then a peace treaty was singed and the war ended. But how this is related to Zeotiucs?]

'Well, the survivors from that war created a faction called the Old Satan Faction which was led by the descendants of the original Maous who died in that war. And they are planning to get their rightful place as the leaders of devils and achieve the goal of their ancestors. They are gathering allies from everywhere preparing for another war, and if that happened and they became the leaders of devils, then the peace treaty will be confiscated and...'

[A war between the three factions will take place like before.]

'Yeah, don't want something like this to happen as it will hinder my search and because I hate wars so much. The fruit of war isn't tasty at all.'

[As you wish my Liege, if you don't want war, then we as your Shadows, will not make it happen.]

Daniel just smiled at his words and continued his cooking.

After he finished it, he gathered Shuri and Akeno around the dinning table and ate dinner. After that they watched some Show on the TV before everyone of them went to his respective bedroom and slept.
