XXXIV - An Unexpected Turn of Events

Kazuki now had the Kreeton Cutter, Knight Killer, Raska's Fang, and a light spear hovering around him while holding the Sword of Renunciation. "This is your end," Kazuki states.

"Don't make me laugh," Beelzebub says. Kazuki didn't waste anymore time, he used 'Quicksilver' to blitz the god. Beelzebub saw it coming and dodged the incoming attack. With his floating weapons around him, Kazuki began to rapidly move them, each blade making contact with the god. But unbelievably, Beelzebub was unaffected by the attacks.

"If you wish to inflict pain onto me, those pathetic weapons are no use. Using the Sword of Renunciation is your best shot in making me bleed," Beelzebub stated. In response, Kazuki began to use the Sword of Renunciation to attack.

Even with this the Sword of Renunciation, Kazuki was unable to land a single attack. He was frustrated. "Issei was right, I should have quit the dungeon," he says. "What do you mean by that?" Beelzebub questioned. Kazuki smirks. "You technically aren't even real. I'm surprised the system even made beings as powerful as you," he stated.

"Stop talking nonsense. Of course I'm real," Beelzebub says. They continued on with their fight, Kazuki was now losing. So he did what came to mind and began to play mind games with the god. Kazuki once again stated that the gods were not real and just a part of a game system.

Beelzebub grew increasingly frustrated with Kazuki's taunts. "You may believe that we are just a part of a game system, but that does not make us any less powerful or any less real," Beelzebub declared. "We exist in this world just as you do, and we have the power to influence and control it."

Kazuki smirked, knowing he had hit a nerve. "If you're so powerful, then why can't you defeat me?" he challenged. "Perhaps it is because deep down, you know that you are just a creation of the game, and you have no true power outside of it."

Beelzebub gritted his teeth, his eyes glowing with anger. "You will pay for your arrogance," he hissed, launching himself at Kazuki with renewed fury. The two battled on, each one determined to emerge victorious. Kazuki gained the upper hand for a second, his blade finally piercing through Beelzebub's defenses.

The god winced in pain, and before he could try and land another attack, Hades stepped in. He teleports between them and says, "Stop." Beelzebub was now confused and angry, "But why?" He questioned.

"You said something about us being created because of a game, can you elaborate on that?" Hades says. "I don't have anything to say to you," Kazuki claimed. "Oh, but if I tell you that I can bring your friend back, will you tell me then?"

This caught Kazuki's attention. "You...can do that?"

"Of course, before I do...answer my question."

Kazuki then explained how he first got the system and the things he could do with it, he tells them everything he learned about it so far.

"Interesting...so you mean to say that we three don't exist?" Hades asked, referring to Beelzebub, Lucilius, and him. Kazuki thought for a moment. "Technically, yes and no. You three were programmed after myths and folktales of gods from my world. Or I guess, a god, devil, and fallen angel."

"That is quite fascinating...do you think we can get out of this 'Game'?" Lucilius questioned. Kazuki was taken aback, sure, his shadows are able to go with him anywhere but he never thought bringing them alive would be a possibility.

"I'm not sure that would work," Kazuki says. "You should give it a try," Beelzebub suggested. "I'm not confident in my knowledge of the supernatural world but what if there is a Beelzebub, Hades, and Lucilius in my world already?"

"Wouldn't that just make things more fun?" Hades says. He then walks away, heading towards the body of Asia. A magic circle appeared on the gods hand and Asia's body began to glow. Soon enough, the hole in her chest heals as she slowly opens her eyes.

When she saw Hades, she was first horrified. "Don't be so scared, I just brought you back." He does the same thing to Rias and her peerage, their wounds all healed.

Kazuki shadows finally finished regenerating, and Hades looks at the new form his Cerberus took. "Kazuki, since I brought back your friend and healed the others. I want my Cerberus back."

The monarch listened and walked towards the beast. "It's been fun...cancel extraction." The shadow-like aura that was emanating from Cerberus dissipates, now leaving the corpse of the hellhound. "Thank you," Hades says. The god of the dead used his magic to bring back his former hound. "Ah, look at you. Back to your former glory."

"If I'm able to bring you guys with me, I only have one request," Kazuki says. "And what would that be?" Hades questioned. Kazuki smirks, "Join me, I'm sure we can all benefit from each other," he says.

Lucilius/Beelzebub: "Absolutely no-"

Hades: "Sure, but you don't think you will be bossing us around."

"But are you sure?" Lucilius questioned. Beelzebub was also shocked. "Joining forces with a mortal..."

"Relax, as I said before, he won't be giving us orders. We will join you but we will also be doing our own thing," Hades says.

Rias then walked over to the four. "Kazuki, I'm not sure that this is the best idea," she says. "Back in the real world, there is a Beelzebub and Hades. This may cause some trouble."

"Wait, are you saying that I don't have a counterpart?" Lucilius asked Rias. "No, there is no being known as Lucilius that exists," Rias informed. "Hm, looks like you two will have to deal with inferior copies of yourselves," Lucilius said to Hades and Beelzebub.

"Technically, they are the copies," Kazuki remarked. Annoyingly, Hades brandished his sword at Kazuki. "Stop saying that, it's quite bothersome. It's like you said, we may be part of this 'game system' but we are still very much real."

"Okay, okay, I'll stop....now let's see what I can do.. Invite Hades, Beelzebub, and Lucilius to the party."

The god, demon, and fallen angel looked on but nothing happened. "What was that about?" Hades asked.
