Escaping judgement

'10 days later somewhere in Jidanga jungle'

A group of men arrived at the area where Nero had left the bandits to be judged by his judgement spell. They witnessed a gruesome scene. 10 bandit were still alive inside the pyramid like structure which was covered in splatters of dried up blood and human bones, 8 of the men were shivering in the corner of the structure while 2 of the men were in middle chewing on human bones. One of the two men stood up and moved closer to the transparent wall while chewing on the bone ''What took you so long?'' said Kaizer the bandit leader to the men outside.

Men were shocked and couldn't muster a word out of their mouth. ''What are you just staring there? Get me the hell out of here!'' Kaizer yelled at the men. ''W-we are really sorry sir, we get right into it.'' The men replied and started to cast different kind of spells at the structure, but nothing happened.

Kaizer started to get impatient and shout ''You useless pieces of shit, how hard can it be to dispel one spell!?''.

Men started to shoot all kind of spells with all their might against the structure Nero had created, still nothing happened. ''I'm sorry sir, but we can't dispel the spell... It's too powerful, whoever created this spell must have been a god tier magician!'' said one of the men who was exhausted.

''If you don't get me out of here, you will experience the most painful death you can imagine'' Kaizer told the men while crushing the human bone on his hand into pieces. Elderly man stepped forward from the group of men saying ''Do you know how this spell works? If i knew how it works, maybe i could find a solution to dispel it.''.

Kaizer looked at the elderly man calmly, then he turned around and lifted one of the 8 men shivering in the corner and threw him into the smaller room which had the scales above. Scales started weighing and suddenly white and black orbs started pouring on to the scale from thin air, black side of the scale weighed all the way down and suddenly it stopped and returned back to normal. The man who was thrown inside the smaller room started nervously looking around what was going to happen.

A black hole appeared middle of the air right in front of the man, and suddenly a terrifying looking demonic face peaked outside of the hole staring right at the man. The demon face had red skin, black horns, black eyes, pointy nose and a mouth full of razor sharp teeth's. The face started smiling eerily at the man and suddenly sink it's teeth's at the man pulling him trough the hole and closing the hole after man was completely gone from sight.

Everyone outside of the structure fell on ground and were shivering in fear after the scene. Kaizer was calmly standing still and staring at the elderly man saying ''Did that sight give you any revelation how to get me outside?''. The elderly man stood back up and started laughing hysterically ''Magnificent, a magic that judges ones soul. It is the power of gods!''.

Kaizer looked annoyed ''Do you have a solution or not?''. The elderly man stopped laughing and gave a nasty look at Kaizer ''Who do you think i am? I am the great sorceress Nikolai who serves the black witch.''. ''Then what are you standing there? Get me out of here!'' Kaizer yelled at the Nikolai.

Nikolai pulled a black crystal ball from his robes ''You have to pay a price for your freedom, are you willing to pay it?''. Kaizer stared at Nikolai with determination ''Do i look like a man who is destined to die here?''. Nikolai gave creepy smile ''Well said''.

'Back to the city of Yowald'

Nero had been completing quests for the last 10 days in order to get promoted to 2 star legend rank. He had just returned from his previous mission and was back at the guilds receptionist hall looking for a new quest just to find out that there are currently no more quests posters at legend rank board. He went to one of the receptionist ladies to ask what was going on.

''All legend rank adventurers have been lately very active with quests, we can't keep up with the demand, some have even started to complete platinum rank quests.'' Lady said.

''But why now? 10 days ago the board was full with posters... What is different now?'' Nero asked with determination to get an answer. ''It must have something to do with the auction we had 8 days ago, some group of adventurers had enlisted never before seen amount of legend rank artefacts, weapons and armor. It was the largest auction we ever had and every single legend rank adventurer attended the auction to get their hands on those items, i heard that some items even sold for as much as 1 million gold coins. Now everyone is testing their new weapons and armors by completing quests.'' The lady answered.

Nero thought to himself ''No wonder why i haven't seen those 5 for the last 8 days, they are probably trying to spend all that money they acquired from the items i gave them... That means i'm the reason why there are no more legend rank quests!''. Nero became depressed.

''There is something... You could probably do.'' Lady said to Nero because she felt sorry for him.

''Really!? What's that?'' Nero asked all cheered up. The receptionist lady signed Nero to come closer and whispered to him ''You did not hear this from me, but quests that are deemed too difficult or dangerous to complete are confiscated by guild master. If you really want legend rank quests that badly, go talk to him.''.

After hearing the receptionist lady, Nero headed straight to guild master quarters and stormed inside his room without even knocking ''I heard that you have some confiscated quests laying around here, can i have them.'' Nero said baldly.

Guild master was in middle of something with one of the receptionist ladies on the sofa when they got interrupted. ''Don't you have any manners!? And how you got in, the door was supposed to be locked.'' he yelled at Nero. Half naked receptionist lady quickly ran away from the room.

''Great, you scared her away. What you want?'' Guild master asked from Nero while wearing clothes back on. ''Sorry, i did not mean to interrupt you like that. But i heard you have some quests laying around, can i have them.'' Nero said.

''Yes i do have some laying around, but these quests are too dangerous... When a 3 star legend rank can't complete a certain quest or mission, i will confiscate it.'' The guild master answered.

''Come on, let me try complete one quest at least... If i can't complete it, i'll never bother you again.'' Nero begged from the guild master.

''Fine, give me a second.'' Guild master answered while searching his cabinets. ''Here, if you can complete this one... I let you try the others.'' He said while giving Nero a poster.

Quest: Lone Mountain Mystery

Difficulty: Legend

Details: For thousands of years people have reported hearing unsettling noises echoing from lone mountain, noises resembling that of a man crying for help. People who live near the lone mountain wishes the cause to be found and ended.

Reward: 5000 gold coins.

''5000 gold coins for finding the cause of noise and putting end to it? The largest reward quest i ever did was only about 250 gold coins'' Nero asked all surprised.

''That request was made by the towns people living near lone mountain over 100 years ago, each year they have increased the reward... Now the reward should be around 50.000 gold coins.'' Guild master said while lighting a cigarette.

''100 years!? With such a reward you would think it would have been completed by now?'' Nero said. ''People have tried to complete it several times, but everyone who tried, never returned. The weather there is abnormally cold, it is said that people who goes there get frozen instantly into statuette.'' Guild master explained.

''I'm starting to slowly understand why these quests have been confiscated'' Nero said with excited smile on his face.
