Arriving At The Club

Greg felt overwhelmed. The thought of going from being a mailman to being a wealthy one filled him with happiness as he had suffered enough.

It was a suspicious and skeptical offer but he was ready to accept it. He had gone through the bad ends of life, it would not hurt to go back to his rich one.

He remembered when he was at the flea market and the two strange men had come after him.

He was sure they were from his grandfather, but if his uncle was asking that he should join him, he would accept as his uncle had done nothing to hurt him.

In fact, his uncle had been the one to actually save him from dying on the street after the mob beating.

"What do you say Greg?" the man asked, his face still brightened with a smile. "Are you going to be my heir?"

There was nothing to lose, but there was a lot to gain if he accepted, Greg thought.

He could change his life around, have his revenge on those who hurt him. Be at the top of the chain. He was definitely accepting the offer.

"I accept," he blurted out, seeing a rich future for himself.

"Beautiful," the man stood to his feet, tapping his cane twice on the floor which had the door opening.

Steve entered with the bodyguards in different suits.

"You called sir," Steve bowed.

"Yes, we ride to the estate."

Greg wondered what was going on as they all started out of the room, walking along a hall which was lit before getting into a garage filled with expensive cars.

They entered a Bentley, driving out of the place with Greg admiring the luxury of the car.

Within minutes, they arrived at a large gate which slided open automatically letting them in.

"Oh lord," gasped Greg at how wealthy his uncle was. Petra's family was nothing when compared to the large estate before him.

The fleet of luxury cars he could see parked on either side of the driveway alone were numerous to count.

"No one would ever get to walk over you again," Hudson grinned as they stopped, getting out of the already opened doors. "Let us go inside."

While they entered the large house, Greg could only marvel at the solid structure of the house. It was like a palace.

Hudson showed Greg to his room while he settled in.

"You should relax" the man said, leaving Greg to his privacy.

While he admired the large room he was in, he wondered if Petra and Damien had bothered to look for him.

He was disposable but was that all he was to them?

Maybe they were happy that he was finally missing.

Thinking about Petra and the way she treated him made him grimace. There was no need to bother himself about her. She could go on sleeping with whoever she wanted to sleep with.

He was done with her.

Laying into the large bed, he soon fell asleep knowing that his life had changed for the better.

The next day, Greg had been summoned to walk around the estate with Hudson who had a book with him.

"Did you sleep well?"

"Yes I did uncle."

"Good, because now we get down to business. This book contains the lists of clubs, hotels and houses I own," the man handed a large book to him. "They are all arranged by the amount of each resource."

They walked into a library with some books scattered on the table.

"These other books contain the list of the underground businesses I have to deal with."

As the man talked, Greg could see that he was ten times richer than Petra's family and his actual family's wealth combined!

How hard had this man worked?!

A man knocked on the door of the large library, walking in to join them.

He was clad in the same suit which Steve wore.

"Sir," his deep voice rolled.

"So I have assigned this man here to be your advisor. He will accompany you to the bank today to get your black card and in it is wired some money."

"Alright uncle," Greg smiled. He wondered how much he was going to have in his new card. Maybe a couple of thousands would do.

He was shocked when he got to the bank and he was told how much was inside his account.

"Twenty million dollars?!" He could not believe his ears when his advisor had told him about it. What was he going to do with such money? It was too much!

"Would you like to get some clothes sir?" his advisor asked, but it was already late. He would prefer if they did it some other day.

"How about tomorrow?" he asked.

"Splendid, young master. Whenever you want."

That night at the estate while he paced around the room, he heard a knock on his door with his advisor entering.

"The leader would like you to meet him at the club down the street. An Uber has been called for you as I was instructed to make sure you showed up in an Uber."

Greg, agreeing to his words, followed him to the gate, got into the Uber and headed for the club.

Within minutes, he got out of the Uber as he headed for the club's entrance.

"Is your name on the list?" a bouncer said at the door.

"My uncle asked me to…"

"Oh, your uncle?" the bouncer laughed hysterically. "How the fuck am I supposed to know who your uncle is?"

The bouncers at the door looked him over, laughing at his messed up clothes. He had not changed into any new clothes yet as he had put off buying new ones until the next day.

"Perhaps you got lost but this club is exclusively for rich people. This is a private party," the bouncer chuckled, roughly shoving him aside to let other people enter the club.

As he tried to explain himself, he found a familiar face pulling up at the club. It was Damien and his girlfriend.

Shit. He swore beneath his breath.

He knew he was in big trouble if Damien saw him.
