Ch.6 A lost wanderer

<p>That night nothing but Zennith flooded my mind. Where could he have gone? I thought we were friends. <br/>I woke up naturally that moring and headed to Astrid. When I got to her part of the alley she was changing. We had no privacy so it was natural for all of us to chance infront of one another.<br/><br/>"Hey." I said to her.<br/><br/>"Hey." she did a quick glance before looking back up at me "Woah what happend to your cheek?" <br/><br/>"Which one?" <br/><br/>"Your left one, it is all black and blue."<br/><br/>I felt my cheek it was swollen. "Oh that is where the instructor slapped me yesterday."<br/><br/>"He slapped you?" <br/><br/>"Yeah, he has got one heck of a left hook." <br/><br/>"I guess so." <br/><br/>We laughed for a couple seconds. It felt good.<br/><br/>"Any sign of Zennith?" <br/><br/>"Nope he still hasn't returned." <br/><br/>"Uh oh."<br/><br/>"Yeah." I said as my voice got cut out by the annoying sound of the alarm went off. It was time to go to work.<br/><br/>Astrid and I left the alley and made it to the check-in house. I looked to see who was working. 'Talla' I thought to myself.<br/><br/>"Next!" she yelled from her stand. Once she saw me her eyes lit up. Astrid stepped forward. <br/><br/>"Astrid Chrensheir." she said.<br/><br/>"Goodmorning Astrid, Izayia, how are you two doing?"<br/><br/>Astrid looked at me puzzled.<br/><br/>"Astrid this is Talla." <br/><br/>"Nice to meet you ma'am." <br/><br/>"Please called me Talla."<br/><br/>"Yes, ma'am."<br/><br/>"So is Astrid one of your friends?"<br/><br/>"Yep, we live in the same alley way."<br/><br/>"It must be nice to have friends." <br/><br/>"Uhm yes." <br/><br/>"I am sorry that was a bit rude of me. I never really had any friends when I was younger." she said handing us our work slips.<br/><br/>"Oh I am sorry to hear that."<br/><br/>"Well I had friends but they moved on to bigger and better things. The only people I have is my husband and kids. I have managed to make friends with a few of the instructors here at factory 11, now you two."<br/><br/>"Your friends kind of sound rude." Astrid said suddenly.<br/><br/>Talla laughed, "Yeah they were kind of rude." she looked up from us, "You guys should probably get going."<br/><br/>I looked behind us, a line of people gathered down the street.<br/><br/>"Yeah I geuss so. See you later Talla." I said to her while stepping away, Astrid following.<br/><br/>"See you!" she called back.<br/><br/>We looked at out cards. I had: Machine repair and Stable cleaning.<br/><br/>"What did you get?" Astrid asked me.<br/><br/>I showed her my card. <br/><br/>"Why don't we ever get the same tasks anymore!" she said in an angry tone while flipping her card towards me. 'Astrid C. Machine repair and Stable cleaning. She started laughing.<br/><br/>"You should've seen the look on you face!" <br/><br/>The worry left my body just as easily as it came in. <br/><br/>"We have the same tasks!" I said in excitement.<br/><br/>We turned and headed to our first task.<br/><br/>After 8 hours of hard work we finally got a break. <br/><br/>"It sure feels good to set down." Astrid said while stretching her leg.<br/><br/>"It does!"<br/><br/>"If only our break was longer."<br/><br/>"Exactly."<br/><br/>I flopped onto my back and focused on not falling asleep.<br/><br/>"I can't wait for the weekend."<br/><br/>"Yea four more days."<br/><br/>"Yeah." <br/><br/>We only got Sunday off every other week. It felt good to have a break once in a while. We sat in silence for a couple seconds before Astrid broke it.<br/><br/>"Where do you think he is." <br/><br/>"What?" <br/><br/>"Zennith, where do you think he is?"<br/><br/>"I don't know, I just hope he is safe."<br/><br/>"We will look for him after work." <br/><br/>"We don't have to-."<br/><br/>"Izayia."<br/><br/>"Ok."<br/><br/>She smiled when the sound of the bell rung.<br/>Astrid stood up.</p>
