Crybaby

He came to a clearing soon where he found a woman in a skimpy outfit fighting a wolf. Well... it was more of a one-sided beatdown. With the girl on the receiving end. She was bawling with snot coming out of her nose and in the fetal position on the ground, while the wolf was trying to gnaw on her feet.

It was a pitiful sight and Jax immediately turned away and started walking back to the village.

"W-Wait! Please save me!" The Woman reached out towards Jax with pleading eyes before getting whacked in the face with a fluffy tail, catching fur in her mouth. She then started cursing with the mouth of a sailor and bit the wolf's tail. She was anything but elegant, not the kind of damsel in distress situation Jax thought he'd come across.

He ignored her until he heard words he never expected to hear.

"I know where a Dungeon is! If you help me out I promise to take you there! Please! I don't want to lose another level again!" She cried out. He almost couldn't help looking at her in disgust.

'Why the hell is she playing this game if she's so bad?' He thought.

"Why the hell are you playing this game if you're so bad?" Jax ended up saying. She paused her flailing for a second before her eyes welled up and she burst into tears again, but this time it was a full-on cry and not the pitiful display he saw earlier. Did he hit a touchy subject?

Even the wolf paused and looked at the woman in surprise. Jax saw the chance and quickly rose his pistol with a quick shot to the head of the wolf. The wolf was still curiously looking at the woman and didn't get a chance to realize what happened. The wolf was only level 5 and it seemed she was able to deal some damage to it as he one-shot it with a headshot and crit.

He sighed and found a fallen tree to sit on. He didn't know how long it would take for her to calm down, but if what she said was true, he could take on the dungeon. Saving her would be worth it, even if she was a pain to deal with.

'She acts more like a child than Anna does. That's quite sad.' Jax thought. Thinking of Anna reminded him again about why he was playing the game. He wanted to get funds so his family would be set for life. He didn't want his mother working so much, and he wanted his sister to act more her age, go to school and make some more friends, and play with toys instead of worrying about our budget.

He had a feeling that his sister became mature so early on in life was a combination of her disability and their family's financial state. She grew up way too fast when she didn't even need to. Thinking of how their situation hurt her in such a way made him depressed, but it also gave him a renewed determination every time he thought about it.

Around 30 minutes later, she finally stopped crying. He didn't know it was possible to continue crying for that long. How dehydrated would she be if this was the real world?

"You done?" Jax raised an eyebrow in her direction. She sniffled, sucking up snot and running her hand across her nose. "Yeah..." She mumbled. She pouted and wrapped her arms around her knees and buried her face in her knees.

"I swear if I couldn't see your figure I would've thought you were a child." Jax didn't mince his words. Her lip quivered as she looked up at Jax ready to cry at a moments notice.

"Don't you dare cry again or I'll kill you myself." She sniffled again but held in her tears. He sighed at this headache with boobs. "So? You gonna tell me where this dungeon is, or where you lying." Jax said with a cold tone and his pistol aimed at her head.

Her face paled and she quickly said, "No no no no! I wasn't lying! I'm serious! Please follow me!" Jax was baffled at her new attitude. It was like a complete 180 as she was now cheerful and smiling gleefully, almost like she wanted him to find the dungeon.

'Something's fishy.' No sane person would gladly take someone to a supposed hidden dungeon that could get a character to the top of the leaderboard. The current top players had just reached level 12 after 10 hours now that Jax had been in game. In total, it was around 16 hours for the others.

He was behind and the gap would only widen if he didn't get something like this. He was wary, but decided to ask her. She wasn't the type to make such an elaborate bait for players, she was genuinely stupid.

"Why are you so eager to take me to the dungeon? All the top players would turn you into a slave in a heart beat for something like this. And as far as I know, nobody has found a dungeon in this area, how can I believe you?" Jax pelted her with questions causing her to shrink with each one.

"Ugh! Just trust me please okay?! You're just as bad as my friends! I wouldn't even be in this situation if it wasn't for them and all they did was complain about how I cried too much and was useless and now you are doing the same!" She held her head and grabbed her hair with a scowl.

'I guess someone has trust issues, but is willing to let a stranger have her pot of gold if it means healing from her trauma.' Although Jax had no idea what she was talking about, she could tell there was bad blood between her and these "friends" of hers. This all seemed connected to the dungeon? He was getting more confused now.

"How do your friends relate to the dungeon? Are they at it right now?" Jax inquired, as it meant he would be in for a fight, and he was not prepared for one with a group of high-level players.

The woman pouted and crossed her arms. "They were, but not anymore. We found the dungeon together, but we are no longer a party so they can't get here."

"Care to elaborate?"

The woman straightened herself out and stopped walking to turn towards Jax. Looking at her now, he found her rather pretty. If it wasn't for that crybaby personality, he would've found her pretty attractive. She had curly brown hair that fell to the middle of her back and a pair of exotic-looking purple eyes. She wore mascara and other cosmetics that enhanced her natural beauty in the right ratio.

She didn't have too much on to the point where she looked like a clown, but it was enough to make her stand out in a crowd. She was on the shorter side, maybe only a bit taller than 5 feet, but she had a sizeable rack for her body type. 'Medium is premium' is all Jax could think of. However, the cherry on top was that dump truck of an ass.

He didn't know if it was natural or the physics of the game, but it made him twitch. He quickly put these thoughts away after he remembered her earlier display. While many men prefer a pretty woman, he cared more about personality or compatibility. Although looks were always a great thing to have. That was towards the end of his list of things he cared about in a person.

That's why he was such good friends with Kyle.

"Me and my ex-friends randomly came across this dungeon. I wasn't having fun partying with them at this point so I said I would stay outside the dungeon. They went in and kicked me out of the party, but they never came out.

"I assumed they died, but even after waiting a few hours, they never came back. The only message I got from them was to tell them where the dungeon was, but I haven't answered them. They keep harassing me now with messages so I blocked them.

I decided to try the dungeon myself but failed miserably. However, I didn't end up at the graveyard in the village when I died. I appeared in front of the dungeon instead."
