Lin Feng sat at the bridgehead, observing that after numerous sales, only sporadic customers now approached to buy phones.
He scratched his head, wondering if he should still exchange for a Vision given this situation. It seemed clear that he needed to explore alternative revenue streams.
"System, can we introduce more paid games?" Lin Feng queried the system, considering it could potentially generate passive income.
"No, you can only add one game every seven days!" The system's icy response instantly doused Lin Feng's enthusiasm like a bucket of cold water.
It made sense; frequently adding new games would resemble exploiting customers, akin to harvesting crops too hastily. A steady and sustainable approach was preferable.
"However, you can implement a live-streaming video platform!" The system chimed in again, clearly aware that such platforms were far more lucrative than individual games.
"Hmm... That's not a bad idea. Influencers make so much money from these platforms. As the platform provider, our earnings would undoubtedly be even higher, ha ha ha..." Lin Feng burst out laughing, already envisioning himself lounging in Eula's embrace while counting Mora.
"Five million Mora, please pay!" The system's voice echoed once more, sending a chill down Lin Feng's spine.
"Five million Mora? Are you kidding me, System? Is your streaming platform made of gold or silver? Do you take me for a fool?" Lin Feng exclaimed angrily, feeling utterly outraged as his Mora reserves were nearly depleted by this exorbitant demand.
Lin Feng was infuriated; his Mora reserves were almost depleted, and yet the system dared to make such an outrageous demand!
"It's not easy running these robberies! Besides, offering this feature consumes significant resources!" The system lamented, though in reality, it only cost 1,000 Mora for electricity.
"Moreover, with greater investment comes higher returns. Just imagine, once Diluc starts watching live streams and splurges extravagantly, we'll quickly recoup our costs." The system began persuading Lin Feng, finding him truly too stingy.
After hesitating momentarily, Lin Feng gritted his teeth and said, "Put it up!"
Instantly, every smartphone received a notification from the app store:
"MiHoYo Live Streaming now available! Share your life through videos or stream your passions to connect with like-minded individuals. Whatever you want to see, find it all in our live streams!"
Klee, engrossed in studying bombs, jumped at the sound of this notification, nearly exploding the confinement room.
"What is this? How dare something scare Klee, hmph!" Fuming, she swiftly navigated her device and discovered the newly mentioned application.
"Connect with like-minded individuals, hmm... Maybe there are others who also love bombs and blowing up fish!" Klee giggled excitedly, gazing at her recently perfected Jumpy Dumpty bomb.
Klee decided to stream it live for everyone to see, hoping they too would fall in love with both fishing and Jumpy Dumpties!
"Ta-da-ta-daaa, Klee's going fish-bombing now. Beep-beep-beep..." She cautiously peeked outside after opening the door. Seeing that Captain Jean wasn't around, she swiftly darted out of the Knights' headquarters.
"Lalala, Klee is free! Firebase Scout Klee, off to bomb some fish." As Klee reached Cider Lake, watching the lively jumping fish, she couldn't resist the urge to toss a bomb.
"No...wait, I need to show everyone first so they'll enjoy fish-bombing like Klee does. Captain Jean said if more people join in, we won't get caught. Or something like that," Klee mused.
She promptly opened MiHoYo Live, finding it empty with no videos or streams yet. The viewers were curious but also apprehensive, waiting for someone brave enough to take the plunge.
Unfazed, Klee followed the instructions and started her livestream. Positioning the camera towards herself, she cheerfully greeted, "Can you all see Klee? I'm the Firebase Scout Klee, alongside my best friend Dodoco, and this here is a Jumpy Dumpty!"
As she introduced herself, Klee held up a red Jumpy Dumpty, nearly as big as her head.
Due to streaming delays, many viewers entered promptly but hadn't seen any visuals yet.
"Wow, so many people! Can you all see Klee?" She gently tapped the screen, looking incredibly adorable.
Paimon responded, "Yes, we can see you! So cute!"
"Thank you, Paimon! Today, I'm here to stream fishing with bombs. Later, I'll share some of my catch with you and Miss Honorary Knight!" Klee said with a smile.
"Thanks, Klee!" Paimon beamed, thrilled about another freebie. Lumine watched her scornfully; even resorting to freeloading from children now?!
User_A: "Klee, there's a crab under your foot - you could catch it for food!"
Seeing this message, Klee hastily waved her hand. "K...Klee doesn't like eating crabs; peeling the shells takes too long."
User_B: "I don't like crabs either, just like Klee!"
"N-n...anyone here who likes fried fish?" Klee asked nervously, stuttering slightly as the viewer count surpassed one thousand.
User_C: "I enjoy fishing, not frying fish"
Feeling disheartened, Klee noticed no one on the screen seemed interested in fried fish. She began contemplating whether she should give up.
Lin Feng was closely monitoring the situation, seeing his top little broadcaster nearly losing hope. Instantly, he gifted a rocket worth 10,000 Mora, knowing this investment would never go to waste.
Another comment appeared: "Don't be sad, Klee! I absolutely love your stream, and I'm also a huge fan of blowing up fish!"
A rocket explosion effect blossomed at the center of the screen, leaving everyone astonished - what was that?
Quickly, viewers found the gift-giving section. Upon seeing the value of the rocket, they were stunned; it equaled the cost of a smartphone, truly insane!
Klee noticed the bomb icon on the screen along with the floating message, instantly breaking into a smile.
"Thank you, Lin Feng-gege! Klee will definitely work hard at blowing up fish!" she exclaimed joyfully before starting to introduce her latest version of Jumpy Dumpty bombs.
As the audience watched, they leaned back instinctively, fearing the explosions might reach them through their screens.
Facing Cider Lake, Klee's eyes sparkled at the sight of swimming fish. The joy of fishing by explosion was incomprehensible to most.
"Klee's new bombs are waterproof, hehe!" she proudly announced. "Today, I'll show you all how to blow up fish—every single one, boom, boom, boom!"
With those words, Klee prepared to toss a bomb into Cider Lake.
Suddenly, catching a glimpse of her phone from the corner of her eye, her hand froze mid-action.
[Captain Jean entered the live stream.]
Klee bowed her head, falling silent as if she had been caught doing something wrong. Then, lifting it again, she looked directly at the phone's camera and said:
"K-k-Klee today is...is here to tell...tell everyone a story about a little girl who loved bombing fish."
"L-long ago, there was a young girl who adored bomb-fishing. H-however, one day, the dreadful Great Devil Captain Jean captured her and locked her in the confinement room."
Jean: "Klee, weren't you supposed to be reading? How did you escape from the confinement room?"
