Prologue

 She's sweet, loving, caring, and a hard worker. She loves her family with every bit of her heart like she would take a bullet for them. She had her ups and downs in her life, but she got through it with the help of her best friend Jenna, she was the one that helped her go through her problems, she was her shoulder that she leans on whenever she was in need. She felt that her life was amazing and that there is nothing that could ruin it, well it was ruined, but things were starting to get amazing, she became the CEO of her father's company, she finally achieved her goal. Lila couldn't believe it when her father told her that she is now responsible for Smith's industry, she exploded out of happiness. She was thrilled until that day came and changed her life forever. She just caught one glimpse of him and her world spun around her, she thought that he was the most gorgeous guy she had ever seen, the thing she loved the most about this unknown stranger was his crystal clear blue eyes, she could drown in them. Little did she know that he was the one that was going to make her life miserable.

     He wasn't a bad person, definitely not the type of guy that brought different women every day. He was the complete opposite, he respected women because that is what his mom taught him, that is how he was raised. His father wasn't home most of the days but he wasn't out, going to bars and cheating on his wife, he was out getting his ass kicked at the amount of work he had. His life wasn't bad at all, he helped his father at work, even helped his mother at home, got himself a beautiful fiance. Life was amazing, it was prospering for him until that one terrible day came with the worst news anyone could hear, which were that his mother had passed away and in a terrible way. He stayed beside his father all the time, at work, at home, even on trips. He never left his side. That was until he knew the terrible news, that his father and few other people were the reason that his mother died, he knew that he couldn't go and tell the police, but what he did was that he left his country and went to the US, started his own business and soon enough, he opened his own company. When he learned that Jackson Smith was one of the people that helped in his mother's death, he decided that he needed to get revenge, at first he didn't know how, the guy didn't have any weaknesses until one day he saw an article with the picture of him, his wife, and a dashing young lady standing beside them. He knew immediately that this is how he is going to get his revenge, Jackson's daughter, Lila Smith. He couldn't deny that she was very pretty but the hatred he felt towards her father made him hate her so much, he knew that she was innocent but so was his mother. It wasn't like he's planning her death. It wasn't until the day that he met her. What do you think will happen to Carter Williams when he crosses paths with Lila Smith?
