Can't wait anymore

Shaheen felt so weird since she never really experienced meeting men with such intentions. Because of this new experience, the entire night and the many days and nights after, she couldn't stop thinking about the man (at least that's why she thought she remembered him so much...)

----------------------------------

On the other hand, Zain couldn't hide how happy he was that he had finally found the girl he had met that night.

At university...

A girl named Hani "Hey Zain! You should come to my birthday party this Saturday. I'd love it if you could attend", she said as she parted her lips and tried her best seductive expression to charm Zain.

But all he replied was "I'm not interested. The only girl's birthday I want to celebrate hasn't even told me herself when her birthday is so there's no point in going anywhere. Happy birthday though." he said as he casually walked away lost in thought.

Hani's face went red with anger and all she could think was who was that witch who had caught Zain's attention. Her entire life, Zain had never so much as looked in a woman's direction so who was this girl and what had she done??? No one can come in between her and Zain!

----------------------------------

Zain on his way going back home...

'I wonder when Shaheen was born. That day must have been a great day' he thought to himself and smiled.

As he was lost in thought, Ismail saw him and caught up with him.

-"Hey bro. Where are you going? Wanna hang out with me?"

-"Yeah dude. Wanna go play some pool or something?"

-"Yeah that sounds great. I actually have a pool table at home. Wanna play there?"

Zain's ears perked up. "Will Shaheen be home?"

Ismail laughed "Bro, you're not even married yet and it already seems like your mind is always on her"

-Zain kept a straight face as he felt pride inside from hearing what Ismail said and just said "Whatever man. Let's go to your place already"

Ismail laughed all the way home seeing how infatuated his friend was with Shaheen having only seen her once.

-‐------‐-------------------------

At Ismail's house...

"Hello everyone" says Zain as he walks in to the house.

Ismail's dad looks up and greets the young man, asking him questions like "Hello Zain. You must be the young man that Ismail keeps saying has saved him over and over again in schoolwork."

Zain smiles and greets the elder respectfully. "Ismail is my best friend and has saved me many times too. After coming to college, he's always been there for me. I hope we can continue this friendship forever."

Ismail's father, Ismail, and Zain all smile and enjoy some conversation before heading over to the recreation room.

Ismail: "Man I'm so tired now. I won't be able to play well if I don't drink some tea. Do you want some?"

Zain: "Nah man. I don't drink tea much."

Ismail: "Ok give me a sec. I'ma go get Shaheen to make me a cup."

Zain's heart begins racing when he finally hears mention of the girl he had been waiting to see after arriving at the house.

Zain: "Actually I think I want some tea now"

Ismail can't help but laugh as it dawns on him why Zain's decision changed. "You know what bro? I'll do you another favor. I'll ask Shaheen to bring the tea in and right before she comes, I'll walk out through the back door so you both can talk to each other for 5 minutes. BUT it'll only be 5 minutes and you better not scare her!"

Zain's face can't help but brighten up once he hears this. Man I must've done a great deed to deserve such a great friend. "Thanks man. I promise I'll keep a distance and be nice. Go ask for tea now."

Ten minutes later...

As Shaheen drapes a scarf over her head, she heads over to the room with the cups of tea. Once she comes inside she says "Brother, I have brought tea for you and your friend. Let me know if you need anyt-" she stops midway when she notices her brother isn't there. Zain walks up to her and she immediately stares at the ground and says "I made tea for you and brother. Enjoy." and she tries to turn around. But Zain immediately walks ahead and blocks her path. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

Shaheen: "I'm sorry but your behavior is inappropriate. We can't speak like this without my brother present."

After hearing her high pitched yet soft to the ears voice, Zain goes into a daze but quickly recollects himself.

Zain: "Just 5 minutes. I promise I will respect your boundaries. Please. I just want to get to know you a bit."

Shaheen after having looked down for so long, looks up and sees Zain. It would be a lie if she said she didn't find him handsome. He had such nice black eyes and such a defined jaw line that he looked better than the celebrities she saw on TV. But, his gaze once again seemed like he was looking into her and that made her shy to her core. She tried to look back down but he smiled a bit and said something.

"I don't know if you remember me but I was the one on the street who saved you from the bicyclist."

Shaheen's eyes widened in disbelief and Zain couldn't help but find her cute. She was so small compared to him but her eyes knew how to size up and express her emotions so obviously.

"I don't know what it is but I find you very attractive." This was a lie because he definitely knew that he liked everything about her...her fierce big eyes, her small tiny body which she covered up, her soft pink lips, her shy demeanor...and even the parts he didn't know about her he was sure he'd love.

Shaheen's face immediately went red and she wanted to hide away from this man but because her brother approved of him, she knew he must be a good man. As long as her brother approved, she would be fine with this man as her husband. So instead of hiding away she tried her best to look up and give him some information so as to make use of those 5 minutes he wanted to speak with her.

"My name is Shaheen and I am 19 years old. I have completed my education up to high school so far and currently attend your university but instead of attending in person, I complete my courses online which is why I've never been on campus. My hobbies include reading, watching movies, and playing games with my family."

Never had Zain expected her to open up so suddenly but her smooth voice was so nice to hear that he asked her questions he had meant to hold off on "What do you think of marrying me?" As soon as he said it, he regretted it. For sure, he was rushing her.

She shyly looked down, took the cups off the tray and placed them on the table and picked up the tray to head out of the room. It seemed that she was going to ignore his question so he decided to pick up his tea when he heard her say "I trust my brother's judgement. From my side, it is a yes." As soon as she said that, she quickly ran out of the room but he saw a smile on her face from the side right before she could head out. He couldn't help but smile thinking of her shy smile over and over again. If he kept thinking of her so much like this, he could only come to one conclusion: I can't wait anymore.
