Prove Him Right

Days went by quickly with Nolan staying at home. He neither attended parties, visited friends nor went to the company. His main agenda was to drink, drink and drink. Audrey tried numerous ways to make him do something, anything but was failing woefully.

It was lunchtime. They all sat down at the dining table to have a meal. Mrs Reed was present, but she paid no attention to her son who would place one spoon in his mouth and stare at his phone.

Nolan continued doing that until his food was exhausted. He quickly left the dining room to his bedroom and in there, he was restless. He moved back and forth, glancing at his phone.

For days, he had heard nothing from Leila. He knew Roman travelled, so she must be lonely, then why was she yet to call him? Why has she not called to prove him right? That she was using him to occupy herself.
