Breakdown (Part 2)

Music Recommendation: Control by Zoe Wees 

"Control. Control, Leila. Control" she sang in her head pacing up and down. 

"Leila, are you okay?" Beatrice asked with concern laced in her voice as she leaned her ear on the door to pick up any sound or movement from within. 

Unknown to her, the room is soundproof.

She remained there, trying to pick up a sound as she knocked.

Within, Leila stared at the door as Beatrice continued knocking. The more she knocked, the more Leila's heartbeat accelerated.

She paused pacing up and down and stared at the door, then took slow steps towards it with her shaking hands stretched.

The more she got closer to the door, the more her hand lost control and shook aggressively. She stopped just a step to get to the handle.

She could no longer hear the knocking sound. The voices in her head vanished, so did the thunderclaps, raindrops, yelling, and glass shattering.
