"I get it, I get it."

Tao Li rolled his eyes at the continous notifications from the system, he had been travelling for a day now and left Luo Ru to cultivate.

'I think I should be there in a few more minutes.'

He had been travelling and got a message that there was a rare genius 12,000 miles to the south of where he started.

It took him about a day with some rest before he reached this far, he was pretty tired but decided he would rest up at the place where his future disciple would be.

'That's the place, it's just an old village, isn't this the starting place for a real mc?'

He reached the area and found a busted up village, he could sense no cultivator presence or trace so he could easily grab the boy and go.

'Maybe i should put on an act, I remember reading about those guys who acted like a master and gained the loyalty from their disciples like that.'

He flew above the village and projected another version of him which looked much different.

This was the ability of a spiritual body cultivator, they could project a spirit body that has half the cultivation of the user.

"Hey, I'm here to terrorize you all!"

The spirit body went in and ransacked each home before running away, the villagers came out with angry yells.

"GIVE US OUR STUFF!"

"STUPID CULTIVATOR!"

In Tao Li's Mission, an arrow pointed towards the 15 year old boy who had high potential. He quickly descended in front of him to put up an act.

"Villagers! I am Tao Li, a righteous cultivator. I sensed an evil energy emanating from here, does anyone know what it is?"

His acting skills were very good so the villagers were persuaded immediately.

"Oh a righteous cultivator! An evil bandit came and stole all of our stuff, please get it back!"

"That is my duty, I shall be back."

Tao Li vanished, got the stuff from the spiritual body, and reappeared in just a few seconds, reassuring the villagers he was very strong and good.

"Oh thank you kind Immortal!"

Tao Li made an act like he was about to leave but a boy tugged on his robe.

'Gotcha!'

Tao Li suppressed his smile and turned around to speak.

"What is it, little one?"

The boy introduced himself as Xiao Ye and that he wanted to cultivate, unfortunately the village didn't have the resources nor techniques to do so.

"Hmm, for someone to cultivate they must have a spiritual root, do you have one?"

"I- I don't know.."

"Then I will check for you."

Tao Li out his hand on the boy's head, even though it didn't do anything, the blue spirit energy he was ejecting from the back of his hand upwards sure made it look real.

"He has a pretty good spiritual root, he could definitely become strong in the future."

The villagers cheered, some of them hugged Xiao Ye and some others kowtowed to Tao Li begging for him.

"Please take him and allow him to become a cultivator!"

"Yes, please fo so! We are holding him back."

Tao Li continued the act.

"Of course, it is my duty. And for the rest of you villagers, my sect has been reduced to rubble, if you help me to rebuild, I shall reward all of you!"

The villagers looked around and and agreed unanimously to come. Tao Li was overjoyed and grabbed everyone using a special technique.

"Let's go then."

A day later, everyone arrived. The villagers commented on how big the land was and started to rebuild.

"The food is over there and you may live here once your done."

The villagers went to work and Tao Li brought Xiao Ye with him to the sect master hall.

"Huh?"

The clouds swirled above him. He naturally figured out what it was once lightning started to form.

"HOLY SHIT! ILL BE RIGHT BACK YOUNG ONE!"

Xiao Ye witnessed him dissapeared and thought.

'Why does master feel a bit..unreliable?'

"I've never felt a tribulation before. Come at me!"

The clouds separated and a beam of lightning crashed into him, explosions went everywhere as craters formed.

"Ha..just this!? Even a baby could..do better!"

As if the heavens heard them, the lightning turned purple and came down even harder.

"Not that hard! Please go easier on me! I've never done this before!"

His pleads went to no ears and the tribulation ended 10 minutes later.

At the center of the giant crater laid a half-dead Tao Li who has successfully entered the Golden Core realm

He asked while coughing out burnt ashes that got into his mouth.

Suddenly, huge golden barriers were erected outside of the Immortal Sword Sect. The energy from them looked like they could defend against even a Calamity Sucession realm cultivator.
