September's POV
I frown at myself in the mirror, it seems I always end up pep talking my reflection. I've been in here for too long and I don't want someone to come looking for me so I head back grudgingly.
I'm so lost in thought that I don't even notice the eerie silence of the basement, I walk in, trying to wade through my muddled thoughts, hooked onto nothing but getting an apple from the pile of food Arianna keeps magicking up.
Someone calls my name and I look up only to get a face full of Cameron and Zach almost at each other's neck.
"What in Hades is going on here?" I blurt out, stunned.
Everyone averts their faces and my confusion mounts, I've looked at Zach more times than should be humanly possible and I've never seen such fury, Cameron is a ticking time bomb.
"Seems like they're fighting over you." Nadia says in her feather soft voice, stopping me mid-stride on my way to them.
I turn to look at her, forcing out an awkward laugh. "Me?" I ask. "That's ridiculous." I snort continuing my journey.
"Okay that's enough, both of you." I say firmly when I get to them.
They stop growling and making inhuman sounds but they don't budge an inch if anything, the silence made them look even more interested in ripping each other's throat out.
"Cameron. Zach. Stop this. Right. Now." I order tightly.
They glare at each other one last time before stepping away, faces averted and tight with murderous intent.
Cameron walks up to me and buries his face in my hair, pulling me into a bone crushing hug like he expects to blink and I'll disappear.
Zach's magic swirls around him viciously. "We all know what she wants Wolfe." He says with a smirk in his voice.
Before I can get my head around what he means, Cameron is out of my personal space and lunging at him, transforming mid leap.
Zach is ready for him, already wielding two balls of blazing blue fire.
Cyril tackles Cameron mid air and holds him down like he already knew his next step then again maybe he did.
Dane holds onto Zach and Selena quickly absorbs his anger then knocks him out for good measure.
"Hey! You didn't need to hit him." I accuse my twin.
"M'not taking any chances." She mutters, going over to Cameron and repeating her actions.
"Well that was intense." Lucy says in a shaky voice. "Does this happen often?"
"Actually, no." Travon sighs, ruffling his hair. "It never happens."
I sit in between their sprawled bodies and pull their lax heads on my thighs, playing with their contrasting hair.
"How long do we still have to be cooped up her?" Selena blurts tightly after a long while, breaking the peaceful silence.
"It's just for five minutes more, now stop pacing you're giving me a headache." Cyril complains, equally sprawled on the checkered blanket.
She glares at him for a while, probably swearing colorfully at him in her head.
"Ugh! Sometimes I honestly wish I couldn't read minds." He groans rolling over, disgust written clearly on his pinched face.
Selena gives him an evil smile of satisfaction and settles on the blanket.
"How are you two even twins?" Lucinda asks in disbelief.
"I know." Selena agrees apathetically and my fingers itch to yank on her hair. "I've always figured that she was probably dropped on her head when she was a child."
"I know where you sleep Selena." I tell her ominously, an evil smile playing on my lips.
Travon, Lucinda and Nadia are staring at me doe eyed. Ciaran snoring softly on Nadia thighs.
"Okay, I see the resemblance now." Lucy gulps.
"Took you long enough." Cyril murmurs, uninterested. "Well, it's time. We should be home free." He announces, getting up.
Everyone starts to rouse themselves, getting ready to leave. "Hmm.. Aren't we forgetting something." I call out, indicating the knocked out persons on my legs.
"Oh! Yeah." Arianna yawns going over to Cyril to stretch and purr over him like a well fed cat.
"What the fuck!" He exclaims in horror when she finally detaches herself from him.
Arianna yawns again in response. "I usually stretch on Zach or Cameron but since they're both out, you were the next best option." She answered drowsily coming over to place her palms on their heads.
I hear Cyril mutter something that sounds like. "Who the hell needs someone to stretch on?"
Arianna mutters something under her breath then moves away.
Zach's and Cameron's eyes are still shut but I know they're awake. Cameron latches onto my hand while Zach snakes an arm around my bare waist, his hand slipping underneath my shirt and I suppress a small squeal, trying to hide my heated face.
I nudge them a bit but this only encourages them to nestle in closer to me, wrapping their arms around my thighs like they were fluffy pillows.
"Okay, that's enough douche bags." Selena cuts in, picking up a sturdy looking pillow from a covered couch. "Get up and stop feeling up my baby sister." She warns, bonking them hard on the heads with said pillow - that had to hurt - but they get up quickly enough.
"Last I checked, we're twins." I remind her as she had so happily forgotten that little fact.
"Who was born a full half hour after me." She tosses back, skillfully re-knotting her loose hair.
"But..."
"That's enough." Cyril cuts in huffily. "I'm sick of this argument."
I get up and take off my scrunchie, knowing it was futile to even think if trying to knot my hair again without the weapons in my room. I finger comb it and just leave it down, following the rest out.
Zach and Cameron are ignoring each other quite obviously but Arianna is having none of it. Huffing, she latches onto their ears as soon as we get out of the school, pulling them over to a corner, no doubt to yell some sense into their thick skulls.
We all chuckle at the scene and say our goodbyes, Selena and I piling into Cyril's car to get home.
