♦Arianna's POV♦
A part of me expects him to open his eyes and respond to my words but that doesn't happen and I don't know if to be devastated or relieved.
I had originally planned to check up on him then get up on my feet again but now that I had come this close, I couldn't bring myself to get up again so I just remain by his bed side.
I pay minimal attention to whatever Noran is doing, my attention fully on Cameron who is still easily unconscious.
I wonder how much time has passed, Hazel did say that we had just under half an hour.
I look in the direction of Noran again and see puffs of black smoke filling up the room, a strange tension resting so heavily that my skin prickles and my hair stands on end.
An eerie light swarms into the room and September takes a couple steps backwards which seems like a really good idea because the smoke fills up Noran's half of the room and the lights just get more eerrie.
