CHAPTER THIRTY SIX

The world stop and Scarlet stood still and didn't know what to think they carter continued kissing Scarlet and stopped to their breath before he continued kissing her.

He only stopped when they heard a knock and Scarlet pushed him off her gently still worried about his bruises and gave him a death stare before getting off the bed to open the door.

Scarlet wasn't expecting to see barbara infront of the door but she didn't show it in her expression, good day Mrs Barbara,scarlet greeted her and barbara didn't even reply and said I want to see my son can you tell hi. His mother is waiting for him.

Just as much scarlet doesn't want to stay in the same space as carter she couldn't help but have to lie to barbara,am sorry Mrs barbara but he is currently asleep and told me not to wake him up until it is time for lunch.

Barbara was shocked that scarlet would tell her no then she started moving towards scarlet and Said I told you I want to see my son you dare tell me no .

Who are you in this house to say that I need to see my son now.scarlet still has a plain expression on her face then said ma'am I am carter's fiancee and grandfather told me to take care of him so I have too.

Marianne then came outside from her room and started walking towards scarlet and barbara and she asked what is going on here.

And Scarlet looked at her and greeted her before explaining to Marianne what was goings on.

You know it doesn't require all this noise Marianne said Scarlet why don't you go inside and wake carter up while I speak to barbara over her.

Scarlet couldn't help but go in with a blushed face and looked at the man sitting on the bed and said your mum is outside she wants to talk to you but I keep telling her that you need rest.

It's okay let's go carter said as he put on his slippers before following scarlet out and he tried to hold scarlet hand.

But Scarlet was still upset about the kiss and whispered we need to talk,before opening the door and carter saw him mother.

Hello mum I was asleep when scarlet woke me up hope all is well?

Barbara had an embarrassed look on her face and Marianne couldn't help but chuckle but immediately stop as barbara shot her a look.

Scarlet rolled her eyes where she was standing before walking back into the room but just as she turned carter called her.

Honey where are you going stay don't go anywhere okay please,everyone was surprised with carter's word and scarlet couldn't help but go back to his side and they gazed at each other.

Barbara then cleared her throat and said well your father will be back tomorrow I wanted to inform you.

Carter didn't expect his father to be back that fast so he could only say oh OK and this reply shocked scarlet but he didn't surprise Marianne or barbara.

So she decided to ask him once they are alone, so carter said goodnight to his mum before closing the door and walking straight to the bed and lie down closing his eyes shut.

Pretending not to hear scarlet who was telling him to go to his room and Scarlet was already feeling tired she didn't have any choice but to lie beside him and she thought about all that as happened today and not quite long she dozed off
