CHAPTER THIRTY EIGHT

Scarlet's pov

Immediately I saw the article on rachel's phone I couldn't think about anything but just stare blank at it.

Rachel was still feeling bad and all I could do is smile at her then I remembered that carter was still with my phone,

I couldn't hold back the annoyance that I was feeling so I rush out of rachel's room still with her phone,

I went into my room in search of carter but he wasn't there then i went downstairs and saw him in the sitting room,

I marched toward him and stood in front of him,carter troy can I have my phone back I have seen the articles so I want to call emily and some people i said with anger almost raising my voice at him.

I couldn't help but see a shocked expression on his face and I smirked at myself and Immediately I heard someone called me by nickname only someone used to call me.

Red, I heard the name again and a familiar voice yet so unfamiliar calls it I couldn't help but turn only to see my father's close friend general Benjamin but I call him uncle Ben,I couldn't help but hug him.

uncle Ben how are you doing I asked with excitement visible in my voice.Well fine I can't believe am seeing red after so many years uncle Ben said and I couldn't help but feel bad.

I know am sorry for not visiting camp anymore after my parents death

Ohh red I know the camp will bring a lot of memories for you so it's ok uncle Ben said and I just nodded my head .

our bonding time was quickly cut short when I heard carter said father do you know scarlet.

I looked at him uncle Ben with a shocked expression you are this dumbass father I had just realised what I said and I quickly covered my mouth with my hands.

I saw uncle Ben glaring at me playfully and he then burst into laughter,oh scarlet you've still got your sassy little mouth.

I shot carter a look and I looked away quickly cause he was already glaring at me.I couldn't help but blush and I had to hide it with my hand .

Scarlet do you think you can still fight or have you forgotten our training, well uncle Ben my punches are still painful but not as steady as I was fighting before.

How about we train a little before breakfast uncle Ben suggested and I couldn't help but think about the pains am gonna have after training, ok put let me change into something more convenient.

Ok I will meet you at the gym in 30 minutes don't be late uncle Ben said and went out of the sitting room leaving only me and carter,but I didn't want to talk to him now after calling him a dumbass infront of his father.

So I ran upstairs into the room and went into the closet trying to concentrate on my clothes but two minutes later I heard the door opened and I couldn't help it my heart was literally running a marathon.

So am a dumbass right, carter said with a smirk on his face as he opened the closet door,

I don't know what you are talking about I said trying to calm my racing heart beat and trying to leave the closet but just as I was about to leave he pulled me back with his hand tightly on my waist.

He is really not helping my racing heart as he leans close to my ear and whispers,do you know how much patience you are making me loss,my hands was on his chest and I tried hiding my red face.

We stood in that position for some time until I remembered that I had training, oh shit your dad is going to kill me I said pushing him off me and he kinda fell butt flat on the floor ,I ran out of the closet and shouted am sorry and good luck in your press conference today,

I got to the gym just on time but In a bad shape ,sorry am late I told uncle Ben who handed me a bottle of water, ok we are going to start with running on the treadmill and do some punching does that sound good, all I could do was just nod.

After an hour exercise all I wanted to do was sleep I entered inside the room quietly thinking carter was still inside but all I could see was my phone and a note which said I have a surprise later and I hope you won't be mad,all I could think about on my way to school was the surprise.

As I got into the class emily ran towards me hugging me tightly and whispered are you okay it was then I remembered about the article.

Oh my love am fine I said as I walk towards our seat,just as I was about to begin studying Maria a girl who thinks she owns the whole school walks in with her minions telling everyone to move away.

You guys guess what I had lunch yesterday with the secret heir daughter of the beam family not sasha I meant scarlet she said with confidence and emily and I looked at each other and tried holding back our laughter,

Ever since my pedants died I had disappeared from the social world and I live low with a fake name scarlet Anderson so since the past six years no one knows that I am scarlet beam except people really close to me .

A girl suddenly shouted omg guys the scouts press conference has started and just like that everyone brought out their phone except me cause I know emily was gonna watch it so I just leaned in to watch.

Hello we are the scouts they said as they are about to sit down,then the the reporters started asking them questions about their new album I was already getting bored so I didn't watch it anymore .

Until a reporter asked a question,excuse me carter what do you have to say about the articles that came out today about the daughter of the late soldiers Catherine and dave and the heir of the beam family.

Well I know that the articles aren't true cause she is my fiancee and I wouldn't like any scandals about her please, immediately he said this everyone wants to know more about me and him I couldn't help but feel loved by him but I know he just said this to stop the scandals.

Emily was busy smiling at me and all I could do was smile back until I heard a reporter say,can you please show us a picture of her immediately he said this all other reporters agreed.

Am sorry but I don't think I can show you guys she want to keep her Identity a secret but I can tell you she is very pretty and am lucky to have are as my fiancee.

Then their manager told the reporters that enough questions and they ended the press conference, I was still in shock that he revealed our relationship to everyone.

I was still thinking when my phone rang and I saw that it was carter who was calling.

Hey do you like your surprise, carter's voice came through the phone sounding a little nervous.

Yes I did thank you for clearing up the scandals I appreciate it,I couldn't finish talking when Nic collected the phone,hey bro am still talking to her I heard carter saying.

Scarlet did you know that carter was nervous this morning,really I didn't know that i said.

Is emily over there with you I have been trying to call her nic said and I glanced over emily and she was talking to some of our friends about the press conference.

Am sorry nic but I think she is busy gisting with our friends maybe she will talk to you later, I said and I thought of something how about I cook dinner for everyone.

Really can you cook, Paul chimes in and I knew I was in loudspeaker, yes I can really cook so dinner today is on me so you boys better be home by six ok
