18 - Our new resident

The sun slowly began to rise, XiaoXian has been with me who stayed by my brothers side since yesterday, despite the poison has all been wiped from his body, he still needs a lot of rest. His complexion has got way. Better and his external and internal interiors are all cured so he should be waking up any time now, and knowing how they'll be hungry when they finally wake up, I made my way inside the internal space and got some meat, drinks and fruits out, and seeing how XiaoXian is quite a foodie (chi huo), she immediately woke up with the smell, 'second young miss, is that food you prepared for us.' I giggled and nodded, 'why don't you eat up first.' She happily nodded and obliged taking the food in one after another.

And since it has such a nice aroma, my brother woke up jumping out of his bed as if nothing happened and approached the table and took a piece of meat and immediately took a bite from it, 'wow, second sister this is delicious!' He answered.

I smiled, 'eat as much as you want there is more where that came from'

As they slowly devoured the food one after another until they were enormously full with the amount of food they took in, its as if they haven't eaten for ages and was starved which it is quite presumable that they have, my expression suddenly dropped but I quickly regained my composure, pretending like nothing to not get them worried.

And as I left them to digest their food, I made my way to meet with elder Xing who was once again awaiting in the guest room.

With the tea set out and prepared, he handed me a cup which I happily took and took a sip of it.

'Thank you for letting us stay through the night, and since my brother is awake, we will take our leave.' I told him simply.

He nodded, 'if there is anything you need, don't be afraid to ask.'

I nodded and made my way up into our room where I was greeted by the happy smiles of both my brother and XiaoXian.

'Are you ready?' , the two looked at each other, ready as we'll ever be!'

And with that we disguised ourselves and made our way out to our next destination... our new resident.

'Wow.... is this really where we are going to live?' XiaoXian asked with amazement.

I simply nodded knowing how shocked both were but my brothers expression quickly changed from shock to serious, 'tell me second sister, did you get these with inadequate methods.'

I giggled, 'do you seriously believe your sister, me would do something like that to get this house.'

He then shook his head after thinking and I smirked, 'don't worry I haven't got this through any illegal acts, it's just something I saved up for.' I smiled not wanting to tell them all the truth yet.

'Why don't we head in' holding onto both their hands and pulling them inside.

It was a very massive and luxurious building, it could be said to be even bigger than the Liu family household added altogether, elder Xing must have made a lot of effort to get me this place.

The interior was more extravagant that the outside, luckily it isn't too fancy, all the yards have flowers and herbs planted along the pathways, the different rooms are neat and nicely decorated which isn't over the top, there are cupboards and desks along with everyday necessities, the kitchen is also really big, one in each yard but all different sizes and styles to suit each yard and seeing how the resident is so big for only 3 people, it is too much.

As everyone chose their individual rooms, which is literally next to each other, I knew that next day I would have to find some more people to move in and what better to find some trustworthy members, seeing how we don't have any members, I allocated 2 yards with the most rooms for guests, other yards I believe would be best if we find some workers and maids.

But for that, I need to go out, and what better place than to go to the slave market.

As the day was darkening, all the equipment and clothing I brought was placed in our individual rooms, unpacking our stuff we all dismissed ourselves to sleep, but for me, I went into my internal space.

'Tomorrow, old man, you have higher internal qi, please stay behind to protect my brother and XiaoXian, I don't want anything happening to them whilst I'm gone, I would also put up an array surrounding the whole household but it is only powerful enough to block out attacks from 8th layer cultivators and below'

He nodded, 'but wouldn't that bring too much toll on yourself.' He asked concerned, I smiled, 'nothing is more important than them, and this is only a precaution in case something does happen.'

'And Flame, you would come with me.'

'Where to?'

Smiling, 'to the slave market.'

'Here is the plan.' As I showed them my plan for tomorrow and the days to come when the slaves come back, first they would all be allocated with their individual jobs from maid work all the way up to assassins, alchemists and Intel workers, but whichever their role is, all would learn to cultivate not just for their own protection but also to protect the household whilst I'm gone.

The plan for the next year and 4 months were all prepared just before the time for the supernatural WuXia academy enrolment.

For the next 4 months I would stay within the resident to sort out individual work from finance, business, work and cultivation training which would be done within 3 months but I'm going to stay for an extra month to see how everything goes and if nothing goes wrong, then the remaining 1 year, I would set off to train and what is the best way than to face monsters with high cultivation, putting my skills to the test, from my past life one thing that I learnt was that if a person needs to improve ourselves, we must challenge ourselves to the limit, it is a life or death situation.

And where would I go, of course back to the abandoned forest where many high grade monsters along with poisonous plants and herbs of the rarest types would be discovered, with the old man by my side along with Flame and everyone that's beside me even not physically, I'm sure to come back stronger than ever.

So I guess for now, my revenge plan would be paused, so the so called Liu family would have a breather for now but not for long.
