11 - high fever!

Liu ZhenZhu slowly got up yawning, the fire was already extinguished, the clothes were dried, the sun was out and XiaoXiao was still cuddled up in his blankets sleeping.

However something seems off, 'XiaoXiao are you alright?' Liu ZhenZhu asked as she approached the young boy, touching his forehead, 'damn, his fever has gone up.'

'What should we do then?' Flame asked worriedly, 'we must make sure he is warm and I need to go and make some medicine for him to take to lower down his temperature or else he may get brain damage or even worse die.'

'You stay here and look after him, I'll go and get some wood.' With that Liu ZhenZhu quickly got herself dressed and made her way out into the woods avoiding any potential danger, collecting small branches and woods to help light a fire. Afterwards she made her way back, she accidentally bumped into a group of wild beast who was surrounding what looks like a golden tiger with brazen bright eyes. It seems to be in danger, 'I heard these types of golden tigers are rare and very ferocious but for some reason this one seems to be protecting something.' Thinking about whether she should help or not, her mind wandered onto the beast surrounding the tiger, they were either feral dire wolves, venomous snakes, and some medium ranking beast gorillas, it was nothing that Liu ZhenZhu couldn't handle and since she is such a big lover of animals, she sneakily made her way to the creatures surrounding the tiger and knocked each and everyone of them down. As soon as they were all killed, she turned around, 'are you alright.' She asked the tiger who was still alerted and growled, 'don't be afraid, I just want to help.' The golden tiger looked around her surroundings, all the creatures were wiped out the little girl in front of her and she couldn't sense any evil intentions from her and lowered her defences, the tiger then moved her body revealing two baby golden tigers, one with black strips and the other that was pure golden but also quite quiet in comparison to the other who was crying however a bright light was shining from it and from the looks of it, the system recognises it as a treasured creature with some secrets or just high potential.

Looking back up at the mother golden tiger, she spoke, 'thank you little girl.'

Amazed that the beast can speak to her, she smiled, 'it's fine'

The mother tiger looked at her two sons who was cuddling to her, 'please, I have a request, please take these two children and raise them. They can form a blood contract with you if you like, please just look after them for me.'

Liu ZhenZhu looked at the mother tiger with confusion, 'why?'

Sadness was present at the mother's face, she turned around and revealed a deep scar to her chest, it was deep and it's breaking her soul, 'my time

Is nearly up however my only concern is these two children, I don't want them to suffer in this forest with no one to protect them. And seeing how you saved us, I know you have a kind heart so please, I entrust you with them.'

Liu ZhenZhu looked at the two cubs below the mother tiger and smiled, 'don't worry, I'll take good care of them, but there is no need for a blood contract, when they grow up they can decide for themselves what they want.'

The mother tiger smiled and shoved the two children to Liu ZhenZhu's side, 'thank you.' And along with the children she haded a jade stone and her cultivation stone, 'my life is coming to an end, this is a jade stone that we golden tiger beast treasure and this is my cultivation stone, it is of the transcending stage and it would someday help you with your cultivation.'

'I can't accept this.' Liu ZhenZhu said looking at the mother tiger with sad eyes, 'don't cry little girl, all life comes to an end and now it's my turn, I entrust my children in your hands and in return I give you this as my way of thanks. Please my children live on.' She said kissing her two sons on the forehead before turning into ask and disappeared into the sky.

Liu ZhenZhu stored the jade stone and cultivation stone away and looked at the two cups, holding one in each hand and bowed, kowtowed to show respect to the mother tiger who disappeared into thin air and turned around, quickly making her way back to the cave where Flame and Xiao Xiao was waiting.

'What took you so long and ahhh... what adorable creatures you brought with you.' Flame said excited.

'They are golden tigers, their mother entrusted them with me, can you take them with you to my internal space for me.' She nodded, 'with pleasure.' And with that Flame took a hold of the two cubs and made her way inside.

And as for Liu ZhenZhu she lighted up a fire and took out some medicine to help relieve pain as lower down XiaoXiao's temperature.

Over the night, she would change the towel that was placed on the young boy's head but for some reason he wasn't getting any better.

Checking his pulse, there was some irregularity, his meridians was once again over the place, his internal strength is rising and fluctuating drastically, he needs to cool down as well, 'Xiao Lan come out.' And the little creature came out from Liu ZhenZhu's internal space, 'stay next to XiaoXiao's side since your body body has a cooling effect.' He nodded and layer next to the young boy whilst Liu ZhenZhu once again got his acupuncture needles out, closing in and unbuckling the boys shirt, she swiftly placed all the needles into the right spot, seeing how the boys complexion relaxed, and after half an hour, she took the needles out, wiping her head and tucked the blankets back over the boy, allowing him to rest, Liu ZhenZhu went to get some nutritious food to eat.

And since she killed some beast when saving the cubs and their tiger mother, she had some meat in her internal space to cook, she took some out and placed it on the fire awaiting it to be cooked.

'Ouch, where am I'

'Oh, your finally awake, you must be hungry, here.' One of The cooked meat was handed to XiaoXiao, 'also here are some water, you should drink and take the medicine beside you.' She said whilst getting her meat and started to eat.

XiaoXiao still hesitated for a bit, 'don't worry, it's not poisoned or anything and if I really wanted to kill you I would've done it when your unconscious rather than doing it now.' And with that said XiaoXiao took a sip of his water and filled down the medicine.

Liu ZhenZhu then came closer when XiaoXiao was eating and placed his hand on his forehead and the other on herself.

She smiled, 'you temperature has gone down.'

XiaoXiao blushes, 'th...thank you.'

'Auhhh... he's so adorable!' Flame squealed.

'He makes me think of a certain someone who kept on asking me whether they are cute when she was little' Liu ZhenZhu joked, 'oI, come on sis don't make fun of me.'

Liu ZhenZhu giggled, 'anyways, it seems you really like children, you treated him really nicely and you didn't stop being by his side since you came back with the cubs.' Flame said.

Liu ZhenXhu looked at the child, 'maybe because I don't want to see children to suffer' she said.

And it wasn't just because of that, she first became a doctor in her previous life in order to save her sister who was in a vegetative state due to an accident where Flame was taken by underground thugs and when saved she was in such a state and her status as an assassin was only used for the good of society, to protect those who were in need and to stop the same situation that happened to Flame to happen to someone else.

'Since your fever has gone down and your nearly healed we should get a move on tomorrow morning but for today we should rest.' Liu ZhenZhu said and XiaoXiao nodded, 'and who is this?' He asked looking at Xiao Han who was sleeping soundly next to him, 'oh, his name is Xiao Han, he stayed by your side to cool you down since you had a really high fever' Liu ZhenZhu simply said.

Soon they finished eating their fill, 'ok, shall we head to sleep'

And with that the day dawned and soon awaiting for the next day to arrive.
