Jane looked at Vivian West with a smile on her face, her heart convulsing and bleeding, but no one saw it, and she wouldn't let anyone see it.

She nodded generously, the corners of her mouth widening and the smile on her face deepening.

George Hayes, who was watching on the side, felt inexplicably uncomfortable.

As the client of the detective agency, Jane had told him and Awu her personal and marital information without any concealment, and they both knew the situation she was facing, and therefore, wanted to help her.

And now, she had a chance encounter with her ex-husband and his current lover, and as an outsider, even George felt uncomfortable, let alone the parties involved.

To make matters worse, the current lover, whether sincere or intentional, said these words to Jane.

"Jane, do you really agree?" Vivian West was surprised but also a little disappointed. "Why don't you speak?"

It seemed that just nodding her head was not enough for Vivian West, she really wanted to hear Jane say it herself.

But Jane had made up her mind not to speak, still maintaining a smiling face.

Gradually, Vivian West's expression changed. "Jane, you don't agree, do you? That's why you don't even want to say a word to me? You didn't say a word to me even when we were at the hospital."

Vivian West looked at John with a grievance, but John's expression was proud and cold. "Vivian West, we don't need anyone else's permission for our affairs."

Vivian West pouted unhappily. "But John's ex-wife is Jane, so many fans admire and love her, how can I not care?"

"Jane, do you really disagree with me marrying John?" The girl's voice was unusually aggrieved, staring at Jane and deliberately lowering herself. John watched, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, and he stepped forward to grab the somewhat obsequious Vivian West. "She's just a promiscuous songstress, you don't need her permission."

With a composed face, John pulled Vivian West towards their suite. As they passed by George Hayes, John's eyes shot past him like knives.

"John, how could you say that about Jane?" Vivian West's voice came from behind, defending her friend Jane.

With a slam of the door, John's coldness and Vivian West's innocence were finally shut out.

Coughing, Jane held a wet tissue to her mouth, trying to suppress the phlegm that was rising in her throat. She didn't care about the delay caused by the couple and said, "Let's go."

She had to hurry to see Natalie Mitchel.

However, as she and George Hayes stepped into the elevator, the rapid descent made her dizzy. She coughed up a mouthful of blood and then blacked out.

She didn't know how much time had passed or where she was. She was trapped in a small black room that seemed to be on the sea. The room was constantly being tossed and turned by the waves, causing her body to ache as she was thrown around. She struggled to open her eyes to see what was happening, but all she saw was darkness. There seemed to be countless black waves around her, threatening to swallow her up. Waves of fear washed over her.

As she was about to be submerged, she heard a childish voice calling her "mom." She couldn't tell if the voice belonged to Jill, Jack, or the boy she had never seen before.

That one "mom" was like a flash of lightning piercing through the night sky, bringing light with it. She finally opened her eyes.

The air smelled of disinfectant, and the walls around her were all white. She had an oxygen mask on her face and a needle in the back of her hand. The medication was dripping quickly. She slowly regained consciousness and remembered that she needed to see Natalie Mitchel. She struggled to get up but was held down by someone. "Don't move," came a gentle voice with a concerned tone.

She looked over and saw Oliver Ford sitting by her bedside.

Her lips moved as she asked, "How did you get here?"

Oliver Ford replied softly, "Hayes called me, and I came."

Jane frowned, noticing that Oliver Ford still had wounds on his own body. Seeing her concern, he spoke with a pained voice, "My wounds have healed, but what about you?"
