John faced Mrs. Land and calmly spoke, "Jill has chickenpox and needs careful care to avoid scarring. It's more convenient for her to stay in the hospital."

Mrs. Land was unimpressed. "St. Mary's Hospital now bears the name of John. If we need anything, we can simply move the hospital to our home."

At these words, John was momentarily speechless.

With the power of the John family, they could certainly do that.

However, Jill must want to stay and spend more time with Jane.

As expected, Jill pulled up the blanket and hid herself, as if she wouldn't be taken to John's estate if her grandmother couldn't see her.

Mrs. Land came to the side of the bed in a domineering manner, pulled back the blanket, and sternly said, "Come with me."

Jill grumpily bared her teeth, slid down from the other side of the bed, and ran over to hug John's thigh, "Daddy, daddy, I don't want to go home."

The little girl looked pitifully up at him, her big black grape-like eyes filled with fear.

John hugged her into his arms tenderly, "Let Jill stay in the hospital until she's better."

When Mrs. Land came to take Jill away, John's tone was firm, and he wouldn't allow any refusal.

Mrs. Land insisted on taking Jill away, and John instinctively took a step back. His entire body exuded a cold breath, and he warned, "Mother..." It was a warning.

His outstretched arm froze in mid-air.

Mrs. Land looked at her son, his cold and intimidating aura when he got angry made even her, his mother, afraid.

And once he made a decision, it was difficult to change his mind.

She received several missed calls early in the morning when she turned on her phone. The first was from the Land butler, who told her that Jane had forcibly entered the estate and took jill away.

The second missed call was from Vivian West. When she called back, she breathed a sigh of relief and quickly explained that jill was sick and that her son was at the hospital with Jane, showing a lot of concern for jill in her words, and even apologized for not answering the phone when jill called.

After taking care of her business outside, she hurried back to the hospital upon hearing that John had transferred jill to St. Mary's Hospital and that Jane had come along.

The Land butler was standing outside the hospital room, and as soon as he saw her, her face darkened. "Go see Jane," she ordered.

The Land butler nodded and followed behind Mrs. Land, both with stern faces, as they looked for Jane.

As someone of Mrs. Land's status, it was easy for her to find out the room number where Jane was staying. However, when they arrived, the room was empty, and Jane was nowhere to be seen.

Mrs. Land's face grew even more sour.

The Land butler spoke up, indignantly, "She probably found out you were coming and left early."

Mrs. Land turned around, determined to catch Jane.

Just as she was fuming, Jane appeared before her with a look of joy on her face. Mrs. Land furrowed her brows, "Jane, you have a lot of nerve."

Jane saw Mrs. Land and suddenly stopped in her tracks, every pore in her body stood up. She looked up at Mrs. Land confidently, without any fear.

Mrs. Land was so angry at her for not backing down that she raised her hand to teach her a lesson, but to her surprise, Jane grabbed her hand and threw it off forcefully.
