013 - Meeting Black Marksman

On a small dirt road that has almost disappeared in time, a truck road through.

According to the locals, the only thing out there was a small abandoned house that has been abandoned for over a dozen years for unknown reasons.

This small dirt road would lead me straight to the house.

Upon nearing the house that my coordinates led me to I got out of the truck and grabbed my rifle.

Before I even neared the house I made sure to scope out the area, but I found nothing...

The abandoned house looked as though it hasn't been sitting here for years, it looked like it was just built!

If no one has lived here then who has been taking care of the house?

I got into the truck and pulled up to the house before getting out of the truck and walking up the steps to the front door.

I raised my gun and kicked in the door before rushing into the house!

To my left was a living room, to my right was a dining room and kitchen, and before me was a staircase that led to the second floor.

I first checked the living room and found that it was almost completely bare besides a weird black box with a green glowing skull on its surface and two couches.

On one of the couches was a cat that had black fur looking at me with its curious black eyes.

Just as I was about to walk away the symbol of a green skull on the black box began to glow with a blinding green light!

Streams of gold started flowing out from the box and a figure began to form in the air.

I froze as the figure formed completely appearing to be a Skeleton with green, black, and golden smoke emitting from its skull.

"Welcome," the entity welcomed me.

I froze in fear as I looked at the creature hovering in the air in front of me.

"Wh-What are you?" I asked.

Suddenly the cat that was laying on the couch began glowing with a golden light!

Within a moment the cat turned into a girl wearing golden robes!

"He is my God, the Divine Game Console!" the girl shouted with pride.

"Bast, is...right, though I would not put it that way. So, you are Black Marksman, correct?" the creature asked me.

"I-I-I...I am." I tried answering without fear.

"Good, if you haven't figured it out, you have been playing my game, Glory of the Gods," it informed me.

It created that world?!

"You...created that world?" I asked.

"Yes, and to expand it I need help, which is why you are here, will you help me?" it asked.

...

"Help you? Help you with what...?" he asked.

"For now? I want you to continue your job as a mercenary." I told him with an honest expression...even though my face cannot show any expressions...

"Why?" he asked.

"Why? Because I will grant you power, I will make it to where you can...level up in the real world for killing people." I told him.

"And why would you do this?" he asked with caution.

"You see everything in this world contains what I call Divine Energy, I can siphon the divine energy from the people you...kill and turn it into EXP while taking a small portion for myself. With this Divine Energy, I can expand the...game and create new areas, people, and monsters," I told him without going any further into detail.

"I see...so If I did this then the game will start becoming bigger, allowing me to become even stronger?" he asked.

"That's right, so, what's your decision?" I asked.

After a few moments, he responded.

"I accept," he told me as I mentally smiled.
