Scars To A Playgirl

...Invincible yet broken, she played a dangerous game... Tiana Almirez is an illegitimate child born into a rich family. She is a smart girl with a case of low self esteem. Or at least she was. After she forms an unlikely relationship with a third generation heir from her school, who is every bit fun and screams 'trouble', that timid girl is transformed into a confident and strong playgirl. Unknown to most people, Tiana actually lives a double lifestyle. To others, she's an invincible girl with a perfect life but alone, behind closed doors, she's nothing more than a broken and damaged girl struggling with her failing mental health. Lucas Williams is a teenager who has dealt with his fair share of mental health issues. When he is transferred to a new school, he can't help but immediately notice the popular girl whose eyes were so desperately screaming the very thing he had wanted the people around him to hear when he was at his lowest, 'Save Me!' What happens when Lucas feels the need to help this girl? Will she appreciate his help? Or will she hate him for it? What can Tiana do when the new boy at school suddenly threatens to tear down her perfect mask? Will she be able to keep her facade going? Or will she find herself falling in love with the very boy she regarded her archenemy?

Lucas' POV

I glanced across the room for the nth time. She was laughing about something. Our conversation from earlier replayed in my head.

"Why? Why are you so difficult to get close to?", she kept silent for a while staring into my eyes before suddenly asking,

"Why? Do you want to be close to me? As close as Sky and Romeo are to me?"

"Or closer?", she asked.

I stared at her stunned, drawn into her gaze, I couldn't reply.

"Well...you...can...forget about it", she said coldly and suddenly pushed me.

She caught me off guard so I ended up staggering backwards a bit. I glanced at her, surprise written all over my face as every trace of what I thought was warmth had disappeared from her eyes, she looked at me coldly now.

"I won't let my guard down again", she said.
