The New sheriff

"he was killed by a bullet shot?"

the sheriff asked as he was looking at the sofa which was covered in blood and red flesh. he was wearing gloves inorder not to leave any finger prints of his own.

"yes sir"

"Got any idea whom this man is?"

"his name is Jeff mart, he used to work in this place "

" as in the guard ?"

" no sir, he used to be the croupier in this casino"

" I see"

" find out what happened last night, any fights, who was here til 4 am and inform me right away"

" Yes sir"

Alex left and went to talk to the manager of the casino. the police officers met at a corner and started talking

" We better find a way to make this whole mess end with out a sound"

" yeah, we don't want another sheriff to be fired"

"or get killed"

" and us as well, Alexander won't like it if he hears tht someone is messing around with his work"

"Come on..."

the officers left and tried to hied any proof that might lead to Alexander.

Rider was in his luxurious white villa, resting in his room, around 11 am,he was suddenly awaken by knock, he sat down and asked himself

"who is it God damn it?"

then, he stood, he wore his robe and opened the door,

"what is it Loyd?"

"there's a problem sir"

"what sort of problem?"

"there's a new sheriff in New York city"

"so?"

"he's investigating the case about what happened last night, and the last time the police called us, they said he's determined to find out who did it"

"didn't they gave him the laws of New York city? "

"I don't think so sir"

"Give him time, and tell them to explain to him how things work around here, if he keeps on snooping around my business then we'll see what I can do, and for now, let me sleep"

Rider shut his door and went back to bed

Loyd went to the others. Tasha asked him as soon as they saw him,

" Why did he say? "

" to give him time to blend in"

" And if he doesn't? "

" fired or shot"

" should've expect that"

" yeah you should"

loyd sat on one of the sofas in the living room and asked

" so what now guys? "

the others sat as well as and blue said to him

" wait and see where this whole blend in thing goes"

" pretty sure not well"

Loyd nodded as well as the others.

truthfully, they all knew that this whole blend in thing won't go well because unfortunately Rider isn't the patience type.

at the police station, police officers were busy. others handling the files of criminals, others handling criminals in bars and others listening to the people's complaints.

yeah, the police station is the kind of place where it never goes quiet. then, alex entered in his office and sat on his chair. he was still handling the case of the murder that happened the other night. one of the police officers entered and gave the files to Alex.

"found out who was in the casino til late last night?"

" I tried to do investigations on it but I found out tht there was no one left at the casino at that time. the manager of the casino said that the casino closes at 3 am, and they locked it"

" but that's possible, the murder occured last night around 3 am and the neighbourhood did say that they heard the gun shot around 3:20 am"

Alex thought for a while and asked

" Did you check the CCTV camera? "

" No sir"

" Go and check and see who entered the casino from 3 am to 3:30"

" yes sir"

the officer left and went to the casino to check the CCTV cameras.

Alex looked at the files concerning jeff and saw the pictures and information concerning him including his family.

"Laura mart, gotta be his wife"

he picked up the phone on his table and called

"officer lee, I want you to call Mrs. mart at the station, I gotta ask her a few questions concerning the murder"

"yes sir"

he put the phone down and let out a breath,

12pm....

officer lee was sitting with Kevin, Edward and Chris, other officers in the police station, they were sitting at the cafeteria having a conversation regarding the whole situation

"the sheriff called for Mrs. mart"

"Jeff mart's wife?"

"yeah, he think he'll get a few information from her regarding the case"

"I don't think that's a good idea, if am not mistaken Alexander's men already threaten Jeff's whole family if they dare to say anything to the sheriff, they probably told them they'll shoot them as well just to get away with the murder."

Edward told lee as they were having coffee. all of them seem to agree with what Edward said about this whole mess as they knew very well how well planned and prepared Alexander is when it comes to such situations, he is the Mafia king after all, all the time he must be well prepared with whatever that might happen in his life, because that's the life of mafias. always have eyes in all sides because an attack may come when you least expect it.

Kevin told him.

"What if he get caught this time?"

"who? Alexander?"

Edward asked in surprise when he heard Kevin ask such question, then he chuckled and answered him.

"His Rider Alexander, not just the king of mafias, but also the king of New York city. everyone and everything that happens in this city his aware of it"

"not everyone"

"who? the new sheriff? he'll soon catch up with this whole deal. listen Kevin, Alexander has no weak point, he's always prepared,and even if this time his plans blows up,the court will defend him because technically, the whole New York system is under his control, including the high court, so how exactly are they gonna lock him up? "

" Everyone got a weak point Edward, even Alexander, we or maybe he, just doesn't know it, everyone got that one deal which is stronger and way more powerful than the others.... even Alexander "

" Well if that is true then I pray that no matter where that weakness of his is, it better not show up any time now, because if it makes him weak at moments like this, he'll be jailed for a very long time"
