Chapter One Hundred Fifty Seven

Jae glanced at the table where Blaze and the girl he was betrothed to were talking seriously. This afternoon, he was a little surprised to get a message from the man saying that he wanted to meet. Blaze said that he would give him the explanation he wanted. But he didn't know that he would also meet a girl. Blaze said he wanted to tell the girl that he refused the matchmaking.

Jae sipped his coffee slowly. The focus of his attention could not be separated from Blaze and the girl. Even though he couldn't hear what the two were talking about, just by looking at Blaze's expression, he could tell that the conversation was tense.

Blaze stared at Elena intently. "Sorry…"

"It's okay," Elena said quietly. She tried to keep a smile.

This made him feel even more guilty. But if he hadn't said it now, the girl would be much more hurt. Blaze took a deep breath. "You are a beautiful and kind girl. I think there are men who are far more worthy of you than I am."
