Chapter One Hundred Eighty Six

Jennie closed the laptop, slightly irritated. She still hadn't finished the paper she had to submit in three days. But she didn't concentrate one bit. Too many things bother her. Either at home or on campus. That's why she chose a coffee shop to be alone.

However, that might also be a bad idea. Today, the cafe is quite busy. She couldn't concentrate at all. She reached for her cell phone and checked the last message sent by her friend. Jennie had actually made an appointment with her friend at the café to complete the task. She had been waiting for more than ten minutes, yet her friend had yet to show up. She didn't even get a reply to the message she sent.

She sighed.

When she heard the sound of the cafe door opening, she suddenly raised her head to see if her friend had come. However, it was not her friend but a man. She watched the man walking towards the counter and smiled faintly.

She met the man.
