Chapter Ninety Eight

Siegfried blinked a few times. He could hear Blaze's words well, but there was a part of him that was still digesting every word the man said. He closed his eyes and breathed regularly. He was trying to calm himself—hell, why did he have to calm down? Isn't this the answer he was waiting for? He should be so happy he got the answer. However, for some reason, he still felt that he had to confirm it from Blaze's answer.

He opened his eyes and moved to sit next to Blaze. He grabbed his left hand, fiddling with his fingers, before he looked at the man.

"Why did it take you so long to give me that short answer?"

Blaze was silent for a moment. He could hear the voice of disappointment from Siegfried's question. But what did he expect? Hugs and kisses from the man just because he gave a "yes" answer, after weeks of hanging on to his feelings? He even felt angry at Hailey because the girl only gave him "no" after six years of waiting.
