Chapter Eleven

Siegfried frowns when he doesn't see Cameron in his room. He closed the door again and looked at Ellie, his cousin's secretary. "Where did Cameron go?"

"He mentioned Reyes' law firm. It seems he takes care of Mr. Sonny Kim's land dispute," the secretary answered.

He nodded. "Tell him that he has to go to grandpa's house after work once he returns."

Ellie nodded in understanding, and Siegfried left the room. He walked to the elevator to return to the floor where his room was. He checked his phone. He sighed as he read the message from his mother. Well, his mother is back to arrange another matchmaking meeting. No matter how many times he said that he didn't like matchmaking, his mother wouldn't budge—as if she hadn't heard his protests.

Siegfried put his phone on when the elevator opened. Then he walked into the steel box and pressed the sixteenth button. He leaned against the side of the elevator box and closed his eyes. He has too much work to do, especially with Sonny Kim's land dispute. Although his father had said that he himself would intervene, he felt more responsible. His position in the company and as one of the heirs of the company makes him unable to just let go.

Then the elevator doors opened. He opened his eyes and walked out of the elevator. He

returned to his large study. But when he opened the door, he saw Stephanie sitting in his chair.

Siegfried smiled faintly. "You came," he said as he closed the door.

"You seem very busy," Stephanie commented.

He walked over to his desk and sighed. "That's how it is. What is it? You couldn't have come to the company just to chat with me, could you?"

Stephanie smiled. The six of them have a different age gap, but they are very close to each other. Even though Yvan and Stephanie already have their own families, they often meet in

between their busy lives.

"Your mother is talking to me. Marriage problems, as usual. Don't you want to get married, eh? Grandpa even asked, didn't he?" The woman asked.

He sighed. He then sat on the sofa and loosened his black tie. Siegfried knew his mother would definitely ask Stephanie for help sooner or later. Because Cameron couldn't talk to him.

Stephanie took a deep breath and walked over to him. He looked at his cousin intently. "Hey, you really don't want to get married? Then what about Jennie later?"

"Jennie can get married first if she wants. I'm busy with work. There is no time for marriage," said Siegfried.

The man is too stubborn. Even if Yvan spoke to him, Stephanie was sure that Siegfried would not budge. "Cameron said something to me. Regarding your sexual orientation, is it true?"

Siegfried looked at his cousin. He snorted. "Steph, do you believe that idiot's words? I may have told him that before, but I was just kidding. He's really annoying when it comes to marriage. Just like you."

"Sieg, you are already thirty-two years old. Even though you are busy with work, at least you are also thinking about what your future will be like. And as for the future of Jennie, your sister," the woman said again, "Even if you are gay, I don't think it will be a problem if you want to marry a man."

He looked at Stephanie with horror. "Stephanie Lowells-Tuviera: Do you really think I'm gay?!"

The woman shrugged. "Seeing you've never been interested in girls. Well… that's possible. Even if you deny it."

"Stephanie!!!"

The woman then laughed, seeing her cousin's reaction. "Alright. If you're not gay, at least find a woman you love. Whether through arranged marriages or not, you must get married, Siegfried Lowells."

Jae frowned when he saw a familiar face. Well, he thought that the man would still be living in Germany for a few years. He doesn't know what made the cold man come back to Manila. But if he considers what happened to his twin sister, he can confirm that the man came home because he heard about the problem.

He sighed when he had to face the man. Huh, why did he have to be outside his room at a time like this?

"Lawyer Legarda,"

Jae smiled politely. "Hans. Since when did you come back?" he asked casually. Hell, the man in front of him is Hans Reyes, Jordan Reyes' son and Hailey's twin brother.

Hans works as a doctor, and in recent years, he has chosen to live in Germany. He is not the type of guy who likes to be friendly. The man always wore a flat expression and was cold to everyone—well, only to the few people he knew Hans could be a little friendly with. But not with him, even though they have known each other for five years. So, if he behaved impolitely, his job would obviously be in jeopardy.

"I just arrived. From the airport directly here," said the man calmly.

Jae nodded in understanding. Even if he looks at Hans' current attire, it doesn't seem like the man even intends to go home to change. "Ah, you want to meet your father? He was…"

"I know. Dad is having a meeting outside the office. I'm here to meet Blaze," said Hans, cutting his words.

His forehead furrowed. "Blaze? What for?"

Hans smiled and patted his shoulder. But without saying anything, the man walked straight to Blaze's room. Leaving Jae with dozens of worrying questions. Besides, this is the first time that he has seen Hans smile.

Jacel devoured the last cake on her plate. The wedding reception was too boring for her. Maybe because she didn't know almost all of the guests present (except family and relatives), but that doesn't mean she isn't happy with her father's marriage. Her mother died long ago, and she herself had asked her father to remarry. However, after eight years, it looks like the wait has paid off.

Sara, indeed, can't be compared to her late mother, but if her father is happy with that woman, she doesn't mind at all. In fact, when Kevin confessed his feelings to her exactly three weeks before the wedding.

She sighed as she put the small plate back in her hand. But when she was about to leave, Kevin suddenly appeared with a smile that she didn't understand.

"I got permission," Kevin said.

"Huh?"

Kevin still smiled and grabbed her wrist. "We have to change first before we go."

And before Jacel could speak again, Kevin pulled her out of the hall and into the dressing room. Even though she didn't know what Kevin meant.

She came out of the changing room after making sure that her clothes were neat and saw Kevin busy with his cellphone.

She notices her new brother. Jacel has to admit, Kevin is very handsome and any clothes he wears always match. Unlike now, he only wears a black t-shirt wrapped in a leather jacket and jeans with white sneakers—oh, even their school uniform suits him well. Especially with Kevin's height, which is really far above her. Well, that makes her feel awkward.

"Kev, where are we going?" she asked.

Kevin turned and smiled. He showed her the car keys. "Welcome event for the family. Mom has given us permission as long as we go home before the event is over. So, maybe only two hours," said Kevin.

Jacel looked at the tall young man with an incomprehensible look. Kevin sighed and walked over to her. Kevin stroked her hair. "Well, don't think too much. Just enjoy these two hours."

"Enchanting World? You took me to an amusement park?! " Jacel exclaimed.

But Kevin just smirked. "Because our time is limited, I chose a place that is close. Come on, we have to come back in an hour," the boy pulled her to ride every ride at the largest indoor and outdoor park in the Philippines.

Kevin first took her on a roller coaster ride, which looked fun. But for her, it was a nightmare.

Even though she had begged him to take another ride, Kevin wouldn't budge. In the end, they occupied the front of the carriage.

Her hand felt colder than the current temperature. In addition, her face is also increasingly losing color. Kevin, who was sitting next to her, smiled and held her hand. "Jacel, I'm next to you. Do not be afraid."

Jacel looked at Kevin with suspicion. Who knows if Kevin will change his decision? The ride hasn't even started yet. The officers are still checking on other visitors. "Kevin, I-I…"

Before she could even speak, the officer gave a signal that the game would start soon. And slowly, the train started moving. Jacel started to close her eyes and pray. She also tightened her grip on Kevin.

Kevin just smiled.
