Scarlet's Double Life

Scarlet Clark is a drop dead gorgeous lady with a body that men could kill for -- literally. However, no one knew the secrets that Scarlet had under her wigs and she would do anything to keep people from finding out about her true mission. Carson Garner, on the other hand, was a billionaire who had not enjoyed peace of mind for a while -- not until he had a meeting with one of his business partners and met the man's personal nurse. But had he seen her somewhere before? Carson didn't know for sure. All he knew was how the lady made him feel and the pull that he had toward her -- one that Carson couldn't ignore. Carson found himself thinking about Scarlet at every waking hour and doing things just to get closer to her. He was sure that he needed her in his life. But Scarlet was one focused lady and love wasn't on the list of things that she wanted -- revenge topped that list. She needed the person who was responsible for her mother's death to pay for what he had done and to pay slowly. That way, Scarlet relished in enacting her revenge.

An Unpleasant Encounter

After Scarlet had walked passed Roxy, leaving her seething with jealousy and envy -- whichever one as Scarlet couldn't care less -- she arrived at the location that would welcome her entrance. It wasn't like Roxy or any other dancers could do anything about Scarlet or the position she'd earned as she was the highest-paid exotic dancer in Arcane. So, Scarlet adjusted her red wig as she heard the announcement that was to be her cue to come on stage.

Scarlet blinked her eyes and straightened her spine as she took on another personality -- the one that was absolutely seductive -- the one that basked in the power she commanded -- a power that surged through her body at that moment.

Scarlet began to move. Her deeply snatched waist twisted to the rhythm of the music as the lighting of the beautifully decorated club accentuated and pronounced every turn that she made. Her body was well proportioned -- her breasts were the right size -- not too small and not too large -- just full enough to be noticed. Her hips were the talk of the club as it seemed like she had some work done on them, however, that wasn't the case. Her thighs matched properly with her hips, thick from the start to her knees. Her legs were full and straight -- her six inches heels elongated it the more.

'Under The Influence by Chris Brown' boomed in the whole club through their giant speakers and Scarlet's body missed no beat. She had captivated everyone --something that she did whenever she mounted the stage.

Roxy, who had no business watching the performance of another dancer, especially when she had just worked, couldn't help but watch Scarlet. She didn't miss a chance to be a spectator as she tried to steal some dance moves and body maneuvers that Scarlet did. But, Roxy would practice and rehearse the dance in her apartment still, it didn't seem to come out the way Scarlet's did. That infuriated Roxy to her bone marrow.

At the entrance of Arcane, the bouncers and security men of the club gave way to two personal guards that had walked past them. Then, a man of average height who wore a two-piece cream linen set with a Rolex watch glittering from his wrist slipped a hundred-dollar bill into one of the bouncer's hands.

"For you and the boys," he said with a husky voice that sounded like years of drinking expensive liquor had affected it.

The bouncer smiled and nodded his head. "Thank you, boss," came his response.

A waiter who had noticed the man and had accessed him under a short time knew what next to do. He walked up to the important-looking man and wore a welcoming smile on his face.

"Welcome to Arcane, sir," the waiter said.

However, Bryan's eyes were already locked on the woman who was dancing in the middle of the club. He didn't respond to the greeting of the waiter who was standing at his side.

"Boss?" one of the guards said.

Bryan cleared his throat and nodded absent-mindedly to no one in particular. Then he said; "Lead the way..."

The waiter was surprised that the man has referred to him. He didn't even know that the mister knew he was standing there. Anyway, he put one leg in front of the other and matched towards an in-house escalator that would lead them to the VIP section that was upstairs and secluded from the sights of the common people on the ground floor. There was privacy there for the important folks to do whatever they wanted to do without worrying about prying eyes and wagging tongues.

Bryan kept looking over to the center of the club. He'd heard about Arcane from one of the people that had attended the late-night meeting he had in one of his restaurants and thought to check the place out. The man had talked about it and had mentioned their dancers, so, Bryan had come to see it for himself. However, what - who he saw surpassed his expectation. The lady was other worldly -- those were the exact words that ran through his thoughts.

When he sat, Bryan signaled to one of his guards and the man in a dark grey suit walked closer to his boss.

"Find out who that lady is," Bryan Tyson said. On second thought, he tapped the arm of the guard who had just turned away, "Call the waiter that brought us up here..."

"He would be n his way back with the ord-"

"Call him!" Bryan snapped impatiently.

The guard nodded and turned around to do his boss' bidding.

The guard met the waiter halfway and called out to him to come back. The waiter returned and followed the personal guard to where Bryan was sitting.

"Sir? Did you call me? Want to add something else or change your order?" the waiter asked.

Bryan waved his hand dismissively and motioned for the man to come closer to him so he could speak into his ear.

"I want that lady."

The waiter's brows furrowed but he adjusted his face quickly. He didn't want to offend the man.

"Sir?" the waiter asked, pretending like he hadn't heard or understood what Bryan meant.

"Her," Bryan said, pointing toward the center of the club, downstairs, "I want that lady to come here after her dance..." Bryan trailed off as he signaled his guard for something.

The guard dipped his hand into the inner pocket of his suit and brought out a slim, rectangular book just as he slipped a pen out of his breast pocket. He handed it over to Bryan and walked back to where he'd been standing.

Bryan collected it and packed the book on his lap before he scribbled something unto the page that he'd opened.

"Here..." he said. "For you. Make sure she comes here," Bryan ordered.

The waiter collected the paper. already knowing what it was and what it meant. That was not how they did things in Arcane but the waiter couldn't just refuse outrightly. he had to be tactical about his response of refusal to the man's request.

He looked into the cheque and his eyes widened.
