Boing - The slime hadn't noticed me after I entered the room, even though the door made a lot of noise, thanks to the [Shadeless] Skill.
I took a deep breath and aimed directly at one of the Slime Cores in its body. It was a little hard to aim since it was moving around frequently.
[ Skill "Wind Blade" Activated ]
One of the Cores got damaged and shattered, which made me happy. Of course, destroying the remaining Cores wouldn't be as easy as the first one since the slime noticed my presence and began to jump toward me with its big body.
No matter what type of Slime, they were proficient in jumping and running toward their opponent, and Acidic Slimes weren't an exception. Thankfully, the room was filled with unwanted pillars, so I could dodge its acidic attack and avoid getting damaged.
I pulled out the D-grade Mana Suppressor potion from my belt and threw it directly at the Slime while I was running like there was no tomorrow.
The slime then began to dissolve the potion bottle inside its stomach. The yellow liquid was spreading all over the green slime and reaching the Monster Cores inside its body.
It was a good thing to see how the potion was unfolding its power, but the Mana Suppressor requires time to get fully activated, so I needed to wait a little longer.
While I was looking around, I opened my [Map] and checked the outer areas to see if I could gain some advantage by using them, and I found something. On the walls of the room, there were a lot of holes that could be climbed with a little bit of effort, so I started climbing one of the holes to gain some height advantage.
[ Opponent Used "Acid Bullet" Skill ]
Suddenly, it activated a skill, and unlike its usual attacks, this one seemed faster and stronger.
Sizzle-! "Ugh, damn it."
I wanted to avoid its attack, but I couldn't notice it due to my climbing. Thankfully, the slime's attack didn't have any poisonous properties, so I only used one of the low-grade healing potions that I created while climbing the wall.
Due to my healing left arm, climbing turned a bit harder, so I used my knives to make climbing a little easier.
Crumble-! The slime was below me and trying to reach me, but it couldn't. The slime then began to dissolve the wall itself to make me come down, which wasn't a good thing for me.
I was waiting patiently for the Mana Suppressor to show its effect while the slime was getting closer to me by eating the walls.
I decided to come down and fight the slime instead of waiting, so I pulled out the Poison of Confusion from my belt, poured it on my sword, and then activated the [Potion Apply] Skill.
[ Skill "Potion Apply" Activated ]
[ Item "Enhanced Normal Sword" Acquired the temporary Enhancement "Confusing Attack" ]
[ Skill "Wind Blade" Activated ]
Thud-! [ Skill "Flash Kickoff" Activated ]
With [Wind Blade], I attacked, and with [Flash Kickoff], I gained enough speed to jump over the slime and land in a safe area. The magic didn't break any of its magic, but I wasn't worried. The Acidic Slime noticed me and turned around to counter my attack.
I quickly dodged its acidic spits and got closer while taking minimal damage.
Splash-! [ Skill "Swift Cut" Activated ]
[ Opponent has been Inflicted with "Confusion" ]
I managed to break one of its Cores and inflict it with Confusion, which was the main point. The Slime began to shake around and attack without any pattern due to the confusion.
I, on the other hand, was dodging most of its unpredictable attacks and waiting patiently for the Mana Suppressor to take effect… waiting… waiting.
"S-something is wrong," I muttered while dodging the acids.
For a slime, no matter the type, Mana was everything, and without being able to handle it properly, they would lose most of their advantages in a fight. [Mana Concealment] was a 2nd Class Skill of [Mana Mage] with the ability to temporarily block the opponent's Mana Management capabilities, and Mana Suppressor was the [Alchemy] equivalent, which could be brewed with the right skills and materials.
The strength of any graded potion depended on its grade, and I thought D-grade Mana Suppressor was enough for the boss monster.
"I guess I made a miscalculation. [Reset]."
[ Skill "Save & Reset: Reset" Activated ]
[ Restarting From the Recent Checkpoint ]
I made a simple error in my calculations since it was the first time I tried to defeat an Elite Acidic Slime while being under Lv 50 and Classless.
Thankfully, I knew a way that I could increase the grade of the potion. After all, every ingredient I needed was inside the dungeon.
I took out my cauldron from my [Inventory] and put it on the ground, pouring all of the Mana Suppressor inside it. One of the Auto-Brewing Cauldron's features was temperature adjustment, but I didn't want to use it since I only wanted to evaporate the Slime Liquid within the Potion, so I did a little bit of Basic-Chemical-Reaction.
I took out two items from my [Inventory]. I opened the Yellow Bernith Powder and spread it all over the pot. I waited a little for the potion to fully absorb the powder.
Just Powder alone couldn't create any reaction, so I held a Moon Flower in my right hand and liquefied it into the pot.
[ Skill "Material Liquefier" Activated ]
The potion was reacting and began to bubble up without rest. The Slime Liquid within the potion was evaporating, but that wasn't the only thing I needed to do to create the potion.
Boing- "Such a good source of Alchemy," I said with a smile on my face.
One by one, I began to hunt as much slime as I could. I focused all my attention on the slimes to find their location and dodge their attacks to collect their liquid. Along the way, although I used a healing potion, I knew that this was worth it.
I returned to the cauldron and looked inside it. The once fine yellow liquid turned into a black jelly substance. By simply looking at that abomination, I felt ominous and a chill over my body for some reason.
The Mana Slime Liquid that I collected inside some empty bottles was in my hand, and one by one, I began to pour them inside the pot.
Slowly, the potion was coming together and turning into something even brighter.
[You have Brewed a small amount of "C-grade Mana Suppressor" Potion]
[ Level Up ]
Although it was a single grade, the difference was like a normal and elite. With this potion, I gained new joy on my face, so I was eager to test it out.
The first test… well, wasn't a success since I wanted to see the limitations of my own brewing power and the potion's capabilities.
[ Skill "Save & Reset: Reset" Activated ]
[ Restarting From the Recent Checkpoint ]
But thankfully, after the third [Reset], I faced the momster with a hopeful feeling.
[ Skill "Wind Blade" Activated ]
[ Skill "Flash Kockoff" Activated]
I instantly jumped towards the slime after I entered the Boss room, and through the Mana Suppressor on it.
The Mana Suppressor quickly spread in its body and dissolve in its body. And not too long after running around, I received what I was hopping for.
[ Opponent has been Inflicted with "Mana Supression" ]
Glop-?! The slime began to lose its shape and fall apart, while trying to shot its acidic spits on me.
I quickly used the situation and began to cut its Cores, one by one.
[ Opponent has been Inflicted with "Confusion" ]
And finally, after avoiding getting touched by the acid, I killed the Boss Monster.
[ Level Up ]
I was happy. It was a short fight, but I enjoyed collecting Mana Slime Liquid.
I looked in front of me and beyond the Boss Room, I found a door towards a staircases that moved up... and I knew what I was going to do.
