-Some time later-

I was leaning against a pole as I looked around, seeing the students from the three schools having fun and playing in the wizarding village.

At this moment I was alone, no longer accompanied by the two blonde girls, as Luna was buying a perfume in the perfumery behind me while Fleur was in the women's clothing shop next door trying on some clothes.

I had told them that they could enter these shops alone and that I would wait for them outside, and even though they were disappointed that I didn't accompany them, they didn't insist.

I didn't want to go into the perfumery because the smell of the shop's products would bother my keen and sensitive sense of smell, and I also didn't go into the clothing shop because I knew the dangers that awaited me if I went into a clothing shop with a girl.

But now that I was alone outside I started thinking about the events of this day, and of all the things that happened only one of them was bothering me.

And what was bothering me was the fact that the two girls who were here with me, who were two precious friends to me, didn't seem to like each other very much.

'Sigh... What happened between them? Why do I feel this feeling of friction whenever the two of them are together?' I questioned myself, frowning, 'I've never seen them interact before, so I don't think there's a valid reason for them to be so hostile towards each other like that.'

'And besides, knowing their personalities, I was expecting them to become great friends' and that was what confused me the most.

"Sigh... But well, at least I managed to solve this problem temporarily, so the rest of the day will be peaceful" I said out loud.

"Ethan!" and at the exact moment I finished saying that I heard someone call me.

And turning around I saw Daphne coming towards me while being followed by a group of Slytherins, made up of her friend, Tracey Davis, and Malfoy and his group.

'Why did I have to open my mouth?' I groaned, already feeling Daphne's irritated feelings and seeing Malfoy's panicked look, 'And why does it have to be two other blondes?!'

And I also noticed that those who belonged to Malfoy's group had surprised and somewhat nervous expressions on their faces as they looked at me, but I didn't mind them too much.

And even though I felt a headache coming on I decided to ignore it in favor of my new friendship with the eldest daughter of the Greengrass family

"Hi Daphne," I greeted the Slytherin ice queen, smiling at her as I tried to keep my tiredness out of my voice, "Are you fine?"

"I wouldn't say I'm fine" she said with a frown.

'Yes, more problems' I resisted the urge to sigh.

And I knew that I still had a chance of escaping this problem if I just turned around and left, but I still decided to butt in, "What happened?" I asked her.

"Oh nothing, just Malfoy saying that I should control Astoria to prevent her from continuing to interact with the muggleborns as they will tarnish her and all of our reputations" Daphne replied, casting a slight cold look in Malfoy's direction.

"Oh really?" I looked at Malfoy with a raised eyebrow.

And as soon as my gaze fell on Malfoy he took a step back, and I could feel his growing panic.

'Serious? Is he still afraid of me?' I wanted to sigh in exasperation, 'I only threatened him a little our first year, when will he get over it?'

And if I hadn't been bothered by his feelings of fear and panic I would have remembered that like the other students, Malfoy had also seen my performances in the first and second task.

And that would make me realize that his fear wasn't completely unfounded, since anyone would be scared in front of someone who defeated a dragon and cruelly killed several magical aquatic creatures, especially if that person is someone you've antagonized and had conflicts with before.

But as I didn't think about it I continued looking at Malfoy, frowning as I saw him tremble slightly.

But before he or I could say anything, an annoying, feminine voice decided to intrude on the conversation.

"Greengrass, are you his friend?" Parkinson asked, with a wary look as she looked at me.

And even though she seemed wary of me I could still hear the disdain in her voice, which irritated me.

"Oh no, actually she's talking to me because I threatened her" I said dryly.

"You threatened her?!" Parkinson exclaimed, looking at me indignantly.

"Yes" I rolled my eyes, "I kidnapped her sister and threatened her saying that I would only release her if she talked to me daily"

And my response made Parkinson and the Malfoy's two book holders step back in shock, giving me looks of fear and anger.

And feeling these feelings coming from them I blinked.

"No, wait," I said, looking at them strangely, "Did you guys actually believe that?" I asked.

And they looked at each other confused and a little uncertain, basically confirming that yes, they believed what I said.

And seeing this I turned to Daphne with an incredulous look, "How did they end up in the house of cunning?"

"Sigh... this is another one of the Hogwarts mysteries" the blonde heiress commented, shaking her head.

And while the two of us joked, or better said, made fun of the three Slytherins, Malfoy finally came out of his scared state.

"Let's go" was the first thing he said.

"But Draco…" Parkinson looked at her crush in confusion.

And Malfoy turned to look at her harshly, "I said let's go" he repeated, no longer asking but ordering.

And knowing better than to test Malfoy's patience, Parkinson just nodded with a nervous look.

And then Malfoy and his group turned and hurriedly left, with the spoiled blond boy not even daring to look back.

And when they left they passed Luna and Fleur, who had just left the clothing shop and the perfumery.

"Huh? What happened Ethan?" Fleur asked me with a strange look, while Luna looked curiously at the back of the group that was moving away.

"Oh nothing, just some idiots bothering me, but I've dealt with them" I waved my hand dismissively, and the older Delacour nodded in understanding.

She then noticed the two girls that were still here, noticing that the blonde girl with the cold eyes was standing too close to me for her liking.

"And who are they?" Fleur asked, narrowing her eyes at the two Slytherin girls.

"They are our colleagues from the study group that Ethan created" Luna answered for me, nodding happily at the two girls.

"Yes, they are Tracey Davis and Daphne Greengrass" I said, gesturing to each girl, before pointing to Fleur, "And well, I think you know who she is" I looked at Daphne and Davis.

"Yes, she is the Beauxbatons champion" Davis said, nodding at Fleur, who nodded back.

"Hello Miss Delacour" Daphne began to say, holding out her hand to Fleur, "As Lovegood said, I'm their colleague and we're in the same study group, and besides, I'm also friends with Ethan"

"Oh?" Fleur looked at her with a raised eyebrow, shaking her hand, 'So she and Ethan are friends...' she thought.

"Hmm, it looks like someone is very happy and proud to tell others that we are now friends" I commented with a playful smile as I looked at Daphne.

"Well, you're the strongest champion in the Tri-Wizard tournament, so I think you're worthy enough to be known as my friend," Daphne joked back, with a small smile on her lips.

"Oh yes, I feel honored" I rolled my eyes, bowing to the ice queen.

And as soon as I stood up, Daphne and I exchanged glances, before snorting in amusement.

And this playful and friendly exchange between Daphne and I made Fleur and Luna look at the heiress Greengrass with extreme caution, as if she were someone they had to be careful with.

''A second rival?'' they both asked themselves.

And not wanting to have to deal with another girl vying for my affection, Fleur decided it was time to keep me away from the blonde Slytherin girl.

"So Ethan, shall we go?" Fleur said, walking past Daphne and coming to me, before grabbing my right arm, "We still have to continue our trip."

And Luna, upon hearing this, nodded, before also coming to me, "Yes, you promised me that we would go to Three Broomsticks and eat the new mint cake they made" she said, holding my left arm.

And as they said this they also stared at Daphne with narrowed gazes, approaching me protectively.

"Huh?" Daphne made a confused face, 'Why are they staring at me like that?' she wondered.

And then she looked at Luna and Fleur without understanding the reason for their cautious looks, until she saw the way they were holding me, as if they were trying to keep me away from her.

And upon seeing this the realization finally hit Daphne.

'Wait, don't tell me they're jealous of me and Ethan!?' Daphne blinked, looking between me and the two girls with a surprised look.

And I, who didn't know what Daphne was thinking, just shook my head while looking at the girls holding me, "Seriously, I really don't know what's going on with you two today that you're acting like this" I said, sighing.

And when Daphne heard what I said, her eyes just widened slightly, 'He didn't notice?!' she asked herself in disbelief.

Daphne then turned her gaze to Luna and Fleur who were still clinging to my arms, noticing that when they weren't looking at her cautiously they were giving me looks full of affection and care.

And seeing this she turned to me again, looking at me like I was stupid, 'Seriously, how can someone who is supposed to be the smartest student in school be so dense like that?!'

And feeling Daphne's gaze on me, I looked at her, noticing the way she was looking at me.

'Huh? Why is she looking at me like that?' I asked myself.

End.
