-Room of Requirement-
At this moment I was in the most mysterious, magical and almost sentient room in the school, sitting on a comfortable sofa while reading some books.
Looking at the small round table that was in front of me it was possible to see more than 10 books on it, with each one having different thicknesses, with the thinnest having at least 200 pages.
These books dealt with different topics, but that didn't matter to me, as they were just theoretical books that I was reading to help me with an old project of mine.
This old project I'm talking about is about the neutral magic that came from the Thestrals, and that was one of my most important projects, if not the most important.
And even after almost 4 years of research and studies, I still didn't have much information that could help me truly understand how the cores of the Thestrals that purified ambient magic work.
And in fact, the most important information I had was acquired by myself using my Beast Power.
"Sigh... I'm really starting to think I was the first person to notice the Thestrals' abnormality" I said, leaning back on the couch with a tired and frustrated look.
"They don't have this ability because of their biology, and not even because of some ritual or curse" I muttered to myself, sighing once again, "Well, I think the only explanation for their ability is magic "
And snorting at the irony of this I sat up straight again, preparing to continue with my reading.
But before I could choose a book from the pile of books in front of me I felt the twins' magical signatures approaching the entrance to the Room of Requirement.
I then felt Fred pacing back and forth in front of the entrance, and I could feel the room vibrating, as if asking my permission to let them in.
"They can come in" I said to the room, which vibrated again.
And if someone was watching me talk to an empty room, they'd probably think I was crazy, or crazier than usual.
"And here he is! Just who we were looking for" George said with a cheerful tone as he entered the room, accompanied by his twin.
"Hey" I greeted them, still sitting as I looked at them over my shoulder.
"Ethan, our great companion…" George began to say.
"And business partner" and Fred continued for him, "We are here with some important information for you"
"Important information?" I asked curiously.
"Yes, and they probably have to do with the tournament that you, my dear Hogwarts champion, are participating in" George replied, sitting next to me, casting a slightly curious glance at the books on the table in front of him.
Hearing that the information they had probably had some connection to the Tri-Wizard Tournament, my interest was piqued.
And Fred, who sat in the armchair in front of us, noticed my interest, and putting his hand in his pants pocket he took out a folded parchment, before handing it to me.
Taking the parchment I unfolded it, realizing it was a letter, and reading the sender's name I realized it was from Charlie.
And with a quick read I understood why the twins had come to me saying they had important information.
'It looks like the dragons have finally arrived in the Forbidden Forest' I thought, reading the part where Charlie said he was at Hogwarts for some 'work'.
"By the look on your face, I think you already understand why we came after you," George said, with a serious look that was unusual to see on his face.
"And I also think you know what Charlie's presence here means, right?" Fred asked me, as serious as his brother.
"Yes," I said, handing the letter back to him.
I then rested my elbows on my legs and crossed my hands in front of my face, with a thoughtful look.
And seeing me lost in thought, the twins became quiet, and I could feel that they were tense and worried.
However, contrary to what they were thinking, I wasn't at all worried about the fact that dragons were part of the first task, which was something I had known for a long time.
Actually after learning that Charlie was here, probably with the large fire-breathing creatures, I couldn't help but get excited.
'I'll finally get to see not one, not two, but four adult dragons!' I thought, my eyes shining as if I had just received the best Christmas present of my entire life.
"Ron also got a letter from Charlie, so I think he's already spoken to Harry about it," Fred said, snapping me out of my thoughts.
'Hmm, contrary to canon, they didn't argue and fight over the tournament, so it's not that unexpected that Harry would know about dragons before his encounter with Hagrid in the Forbidden Forest.' I reflected.
"But seriously, before I thought it would be cool to participate in this tournament, but now I'm happy that I didn't even get to put my name in the cup" George commented with a nervous expression.
"Yes, it's a good thing we're not the champions" Fred nodded, and listening to them I looked at them dryly.
"Wow, you guys are great at trying to cheer someone up," I said mockingly, and they looked at me with apologetic looks.
"But well…" George started to say, trying to change the subject, "Do you have any idea what you're going to do to get past the first task?" he asked.
"I don't know... I know a lot of powerful spells and I know how to cast most of them, so maybe I'll come up with some plan where I can use those spells." I shrugged, without much concern.
"Dragons are very dangerous and aggressive, so I doubt the tournament organizers will make you four face them" Fred said, looking at me and his brother, but his expression didn't show much certainty in his words.
"Yes, of course" I snorted, knowing that if it were up to organizers like Bagman and Fudge alone we would be facing Nundu bare-handed.
'In fact, I was always curious to know whose idea it was to use a mother dragon in the first task' I thought, rubbing my chin.
But whoever that person was, if at some point in my life I meet him, I will thank him for giving me the opportunity to interact with an adult dragon, before I punch him for putting students to face a FUCKING ADULT DRAGON.
And at the Hog's Head pub in Hogsmeade, Bagman, who was drinking a glass of Firewhisky, felt a chill run through his body.
And looking around he began to wonder if the goblins were already after him to collect the almost million galleons debt he owed them.

-Stone Courtyard – With the Golden Trio-
[POV – Third Person]
"So the first task has to do with dragons?" Harry said, with a frown on his face.
"Well, Charlie works with dragons in Romania, and now he's here to help with the tournament..." Ron started to say with a nervous look, not needing to finish his sentence.
"This is crazy!" Hermione exclaimed indignantly, finishing reading for the third time the letter that Charlie had sent to Ron, "How do they think that four wizards who haven't even finished school are going to be able to face dragons?!"
"Wait, we don't even know if they'll actually need to face dragons" Ron said, not knowing he said the same thing as his brother Fred.
"Oh Ron, this is the Tri-Wizard Tournament we're talking about... The same tournament that was canceled a long time ago due to the number of deaths" Hermione said, frowning.
"Well, yes... But..." Ron tried to say, but couldn't think of anything to counter Hermione's point.
"Urgh, and people still think I entered this tournament on purpose" Harry groaned, putting his head in his hands.
And listening to him, his friends looked at him worriedly, with Ron having a slightly guilty look, since at first he was one of those people who thought that his friend had put his name in the Goblet of Fire.
And sighing, Harry raised his head, "But well, at least now I know what the challenge of the first task will be" he said, trying to see the positive side of the situation.
"Yes, and now I know where to start my research" Hermione said, smiling slightly at her black-haired friend trying to lighten the mood.
"I still have the book about dragons that Charlie gave me for my 9th birthday" Ron said, joining the conversation, also showing support for his friend.
"Huh? You got a book when you were 9 years old and you still haven't burned it?" Harry asked, showing a fake expression of surprise, making Hermione snort.
"Haha" Ron laughed dryly, knowing that his friend was joking with him, "Know that many books about dragons are resistant to fire, and therefore it is almost impossible to burn them"
And hearing this Harry and Hermione looked at him curiously.
"And how do you know that?" Hermione asked, and instead of answering Ron looked away.
"Let's just say that using Bill's wand to try to light a candle wasn't a good idea back then," he muttered, a little embarrassed.
And hearing his response, Hermione and Harry looked at each other, before bursting into laughter, with Ron joining them soon after.
End.
