--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just as Penny had promised, after breakfast she helped me look up the meaning of my dreams, using the research her old friend had done as a basis.

Penny's friend wasn't someone famous, but she had a lot of influence back then, and her name was Adrastea Ananke, which was ironic since Adrastea was the name of the nymph who helped raise baby Zeus in Greek mythology.

In addition, Adrastea in some books was Nemesis itself, thus being considered the Goddess of revenge, destiny and balance.

And to add further information, Ananke was the mother goddess of the Fates, the weavers of fate, and she herself was the personified goddess of fate, unalterable necessity and fact.

And you could tell how amazing Penny's friend must have been from her name alone.

But returning to the subject, I discovered among our research that the work and study of Adrasteia was the basis for the creation of Dream Interpretation in Divination, one of the oldest and most powerful forms of prediction in magic.

And interestingly, the Inigo Imago, one of the famous seers who also wrote the book "The Dream Oracle" that we used in our fifth year in Divination class, is actually a descendant of her.

But going back to the research, Penny and I managed to discover that dreaming about creatures usually means a warning, as the creatures appear to try to talk to us and warn us of something, usually being danger.

But I knew that it couldn't be just that, since I already saw myself being these creatures, and I couldn't think of any warning that my dreams could want to give me, since I already knew all the things that could happen in the future.

But even though I didn't think this was one of the possible answers, I still didn't rule it out, since I knew that doing so without even checking the facts was stupid.

Continuing, Penny continued to tell me everything she knew, even citing the fact that she had an aunt who had seen two or three visions through dreams.

We would continue with our research, but my mom came to tell us that an unknown owl arrived at our house holding a letter and so we had to stop our studies.

When we went down to the living room, I saw a gray fluffed owl on the table, eating some fruit.

Looking at the sealed letter that was on the table I saw that it was addressed to me, and through its magic I could feel a certain familiar magical signature, and I realized that the magic looked a little like Susan's, and so I immediately realized that that was a letter from Amelia.

"It's from Amelia," I said, taking the letter in my hands.

"Serio—" my mom started to say, but she saw the expectant look Sirius and I were giving her, "I mean, really? And what does it say?"

Ignoring the disappointed part of me that wanted to make the joke, I opened the letter, "Well, Just reading to know" I said, and then started to read it.

The letter was formal and short, and in it Amelia said that she would agree to meet with me and a responsible adult in a private room at the Leaky Cauldron, as it seemed that the matter I wanted to discuss with her was serious.

"Well, she wants to meet with me and a responsible adult for a meeting at the Leaky Cauldron tomorrow morning," I said, closing the letter.

"Oh, is that all?" my dad asked confused, "Not that I'm complaining, but I thought we'd need a few more letters to convince her to agree to meet with us"

"Maybe Susan said something to help," I said with a shrug.

"That's good," my mom said, and then she turned to look at all of us, "But then... Who's going with Ethan to this meeting?" she asked.

Everyone then started looking at each other, until Nick shrugged and raised his hand.

"Well, I'll go with him" he said, "Since this is going to be a meeting with the Head of DMLE, it would be best if I accompanied Ethan"

"Yes, out of all of us here you are the best choice" Penny said, "It's obvious why Sirius can't go, Sarah and Joshua are Muggles, and I'll be busy with a little research Ethan and I are doing"

Listening to her my parents and Sirius nodded in agreement.

"Parfait" Nick said in French, "In that case then we better start thinking about what we're going to say to Amelia at this meeting" he continued, turning to me.

And with that said, we then spent the rest of the afternoon thinking about how we could convince Amelia to help us with our plan.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Diagon Alley – Next Day, Morning-

Nick and I had arrived early at the Leaky Cauldron, and as we still had at least 2 hours before the meeting we decided to take a walk down Diagon Alley.

"Hmm, this place hasn't changed that much since the last time I was here" Nick murmured.

"And when was that?" I asked curious.

"I think about 217 years ago" he said, and with that I turned to him with a surprised look.

"But you didn't teach Headmaster Dumbledore? You mean to tell me that in all your time partnering and teaching with Headmaster you never came to Diagon Alley?" I asked.

"I don't know if you noticed, but I don't really like how things work here in Great Britain, and that's why in my partnership with Albus he was the one who always came to visit me in France" Nick answered me, and I nodded.

"Well if I had that choice I would rather not stay here in Britain either, at least not on the wizarding side" I said.

"You know you can solve this easily, right?" Nick said, and I looked at him blankly, "You and your parents can move to France, and I can apply you to Beauxbatons, one of the former Headmasters there owes me a favor."

"Sigh... I wish it were that easy" I said with a tired look, "Even though I would love to accept that offer, I can't run away from Great Britain, mainly because I have some unfinished business to deal with here"

"Hmm, I understand" Nick said nodding, "But well, you can always count on me if you need me" He smiled at me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Thanks," I said, smiling at him too.

After that exchange we fell into a comfortable silence, continuing our walk down Diagon Alley, with me meeting and waving at some of my colleagues who were in the alley doing some last minute Christmas shopping.

"Hmm...Ethan" Nick nudged my shoulder to get my attention, and turning to face him I saw him pointing to the side, and following his finger in the direction he was pointing I blinked in surprise.

"Oh," I said, seeing a large banner in the Flourish and Blotts window saying my books were being sold there, and looking into the window I saw my books on display.

But what surprised me was the fact that a sign reading 'Almost Sold Out!' was being placed in front of my books.

"I... I didn't know that my books were already being sold on the wizarding side... Nor that people would want to buy them" I said surprised.

"Well, a lot of people who come down the alley are muggleborns or half-bloods, and they've probably already read your books in the muggle world, and now that they're in the wizarding world with some more 'magical' details they'd obviously want to buy them" Nick said, and I nodded.

"That makes sense," I said.

"Yes, and besides, those who never left the wizarding side and never saw your books probably saw several people buying it and were curious, and then decided to buy it too" he shrugged, and knowing well the sheep mind of wizards and witches here, that was very likely to have happened.

"Hmm, anyway, I'm happy to see that my books are selling well even here," I said, a soft smile on my face, a feeling of satisfaction and relief welling up in my chest.

"Yes" Nick said with a proud smile at me.

We then continued looking at the people leaving Flourish and Blotts with my books in their arms in comfortable silence.

I then looked up at the sky, noting that the sun was almost at its highest point. Glancing at my ATLAS I activated its clock function, seeing that it was almost 9am.

"Well, it's almost time for the meeting," I said, getting Nick's attention.

"Yes, I think we better get back to the Leaky Cauldron" he said, and I nodded.

We then went back to the Leaky Cauldron, and getting there we asked Tom for a private meeting room, and after he gave us the keys to the room we asked him to let Amelia Bones know which room we were in when she arrived.

We then went up the stairs that led to the rooms on the top floor, and walking a little way we arrived in front of Room 18.

Entering the room we saw that it only had a table and a few chairs, and that was because the room was prepared for this meeting.

We then sat down and waited for Amelia to arrive.

*Knock! Knock!*

After some time of waiting we heard someone knocking on the door, and I got up to answer it.

Opening the door I saw that standing in front of me was a beautiful, serious-looking woman with red hair streaked with gray and brown eyes, wearing formal robes.

"Hello Mrs. Bones, come in," I said, stepping back to allow her into the room.

"Hello Mr. Night" Amelia greeted me with a nod. She then turned to Nick with a curious look, "And hello Mr.?" She asked with a questioning look.

"Flamel" Nick said, and Amelia's eyes widened slightly.

"Flamel? As in Nicolas Flamel, the immortal alchemist?" she asked in shock.

"In flesh, blood and magic" he replied smiling.

Amelia, who didn't expect this to be the responsible adult who would be accompanying me, stared at Nick for a good 10 seconds with a look of wonder in her eyes, until she turned to me.

"I don't know whether or not I believe he's Nicolas Flamel, but if he is, I'm beginning to understand why you asked for this meeting so urgently," Amelia said, and I smiled wryly.

"Well, enough talk, I think we have more important matters to discuss here" Nick said, getting our attention.

Amelia then nodded, and the two of us went to sit down, with me taking the chair next to Nick while Amelia sat in the chair across from us.

"So what would you like to talk to me about?" she asked, eyeing us curiously from beneath her serious gaze, but I could sense that she was a little nervous since she learned that Nick is Nicolas Flamel.

"Well, I don't think there's a lighter way to say it, so I'll cut to the chase…" I started to say, bracing myself for the big reveal as I analyzed Amelia's body language, "Did you know that Sirius Black never had a trial before he was thrown into Azkaban?"

"What?" Amelia asked confused, not expecting the subject to be about Sirius, "Obviously he had a trial! And why are you talking about—"

"Oh, but it doesn't end there" I interrupted her, and then continued talking as Amelia looked at me strangely, "Sirius Black was never actually the Potters' secret keeper, and was never a follower of You-Know-Who."

"What do you mean? Everyone knows he's a death eater and that he betrayed the Potters" she said, and noticing Nick's small snort she turned to him, who noticed her look.

"Sorry girl, but your faith in your ministry is fun but stupid, and I know you know that," he said, and Amelia was going to snap back, but she thought about what Nick said.

Amelia knew that the ministry was far from perfect, and that with the corruption within, many bad things could have been swept under the rug.

Thinking about it she started to try to remember Sirius' trial, and searching her memory she realized that she didn't remember him having a trial, and that made her grimace.

'Damn it' she thought, now realizing that what I said might have some truth in it.

Sighing, she then turned to me, who was watching her intently.

"How can you be so sure of those things you said?" she asked, and I smiled slightly at her.

"Well, it all started when I found out that Peter Pettigrew is actually alive," I said.

And hearing this, Amelia blinked for a few moments before processing my sentence, and then her eyes widened.

"What?!"

End.
