Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The memories continued to pass, with Marcel doing more and more experiments and tests on many creatures in an attempt to create a Blood Curse that is satisfying to him.

The creatures and magical creatures he used as guinea pigs ranged from common birds to house elves, and I had already lost count of the amount.

With each experiment I watched, the more I lost the little sympathy and pity I felt for Marcel, to the point where I kept watching the memories just to see what his goal was, willing him to fail.

I knew I was being very spiteful, but it was hard to resist as I had to see so many poor, unhappy and innocent creatures dying in the cruelest and most painful ways possible, just for him to complete his revenge.

"Huh? What?" I heard Marcel, who was looking at some containers that held his own blood, "Did I make it?" he said.

"He did make it?" I asked, a little surprised.

"YES! I did it! Uhuu!" he shouted excitedly, holding the vial of his blood carefully and expectantly.

"Wait... Why is the blood so dark and reacting so weakly?" Marcel wondered, calming his excitement and looking at the vial.

"This is not how the blood is supposed to react...…" he said with a frown.

As I looked at Marcel as he started fiddling with his equipment to analyze the blood, the memory began to shift, and then I found myself standing on a deserted road that led to a house on top of a ridge.

"So this is where she is?" Marcel, who was beside me, wondered, holding his vial, the blood in it moving towards the house.

What Marcel had been studying all this time besides the Blood Malediction was a way to track down his mother, and the way he found it was by using blood.

However, the problem was that Marcel didn't have any blood samples from his mother, so the way he thought of solving this problem was to use his own blood to track her.

He then studied how to split his blood and activate the part that belonged to his mother, and that was another reason he studied the Blood Maledictions, as this curse sought out and attacked the blood of a specific family.

While I was lost in thought I looked at Marcel and saw that he was trying to straighten his clothes to make himself more presentable.

"Well Marcel, you've been waiting for this moment all these years... Now is not the time to be nervous," he muttered. Marcel then took a deep breath and started walking towards the house, with me following close behind.

*Knock! Knock!*

"Excuse me, does Mrs. Treysley live here?" Marcel called after knocking on the door.

...

...

...

*Knock! Knock!*

"Mrs. Treysley?" Marcel called again a little louder after 1 minute had passed and no one had opened the door.

After another 1 minute had passed Marcel activated his Magic Insight and looked inside the house.

As the memories were Marcel's vision, I could see what he saw with his Magic Insight, so I wasn't surprised to suddenly see the magic all around me.

'I'm always surprised when I see how basic the Magic Insight is compared to Magic Vision' I thought.

"Strange" Marcel muttered, looking at a spot inside the house.

That spot was someone's magic, and the magic was a little weak, like it was fading...

""Damn"" Marcel and I said at the same time, understanding what was happening.

Marcel without thinking twice pulled out his wand and tried to open the door, but the door wouldn't open because of a locking spell that was on it. He then used a low-powered explosive spell and destroyed the door.

Entering the unscrupulous house Marcel ran to where the weak magic was.

Arriving in front of a door he pulled out his wand to destroy it, but then he thought for a while and decided to open the door normally.

After the door opened, Marcel walked into what was a bedroom with some old furniture that was dusty.

And lying on the bed inside the room was an elderly lady, who slowly turned her head to look at the invader.

"Marcel?" the woman asked in a weak voice.

...

...

...

*Sniff*

"Yes mom... It's me" Marcel said, not stopping the tears from falling from his face when he saw that his mother recognized him after so many years.

"My son... You came" Isabell said with a soft smile on her face, reaching out her old and wrinkled hands to Marcel.

And he, wasting no time, ran to his mother and took her hands, feeling that they were cold and fragile.

"Yes, I came mom" He said crying, falling to his knees, "I tried to look for you for so long, I swear I tried"

"I know my son, I believe in you" Isabell said, using one of her hands to wipe a tear that was running down Marcel's cheek, "Lift your face, let me look at you"

Marcel, listening to his mother's request, wiped the tears from his face with the sleeve of his robe and lifted his face to look at his mother.

"Heh, you have my eyes" she said with a thin smile, which almost made Marcel cry again.

And I who was watching this scene could only look at this family of two with a sad smile on his face and a worried look, as Isabell's magic was getting weaker and weaker, but I didn't know if Marcel noticed or if he was just ignoring it.

The mother-son duo then started talking, talking about Marcel's time at Hogwarts and afterwards, with Marcel putting aside the bad things he had to go through and the dark things he did.

Marcel's mother also started talking about her youth, her adventures at Hogwarts, her family and the time she spent taking care of Marcel on the sly.

And they both decided it was better not to speak on one particular subject which was about the Greengrass, which was a relief.

With them talking, time passed, and before either of us knew it, it was night.

"Marcel... I think it's about time" Isabell said.

"What? What do you mean mom?" Marcel asked.

"I know you've noticed… I don't have much time to live," she said, and Marcel looked at her in panic.

"No mom, you still have time to live, I've studied some healing spells and I have some potions with me, I can help you and—"

"Marcel" Isabell called, causing her son to look at her, "You don't have to try to save me, I know I'm dying... I've known for a long time" she said.

"But then why didn't you seek help?" he asked, but then he saw his mother's sad, reluctant look, "It was him, wasn't it?" Marcel asked, gritting his teeth.

"You don't have to worry about that," Isabell said, putting a calm smile on her face and running her hand over Marcel's cheeks.

It was obvious that Marcel wanted to argue, but he must have realized that it wasn't worth spending those last few moments of his mother talking about his shitty father.

"I know I can't ask you not to be sad about my death, but know that I've only lived so far just to have one last chance to see you and talk to you," she said, surprising Marcel.

"*Sniff!* I also just lived my life thinking about meeting you mom... You are the most important person in my life" he said, gently taking her hand that was on his cheek squeezing it lightly.

"I'm glad to hear that" Isabell said smiling.

End.

(End AN: My sister is finally watching Stranger Things and The Boys, only unfortunately she has the same attention capacity as a potato.

At least she's not like my other sister, who watched every season of Stranger Things, and only remembers the name of one character, which is Eleven.)
