--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After reading Marcel's journal, I decided I needed some time to think and relax, so I went downstairs to the living room, where my parents and the Flamels were talking.

Sitting cross-legged on the floor, I grabbed a cup of hot chocolate that Penny offered me with a smile and then I listened to their conversation.

At some point in their conversation, I got bored and decided to play around with my wand a bit, make the cookies that were on the plate on the table dance.

While I was playing with my magic, my parents and the Flamels watched my little show amused.

"You know, one thing I've noticed is that none of you have questioned us so far as to why Ethan is using magic outside of Hogwarts without getting any warning," Nick said, causing my parents and I to look at him.

"Well...I've already gotten used to him using wandless magic to levitate things or to play with Cele, so I've kind of started to think it's normal for him to use magic outside of Hogwarts," my mom said, realizing only now that they'd probably warnings about magic are only given when a wand is used.

"And I thought because we're in France, Britain's wizarding laws would be void here" my father shrugged.

The Flamels didn't question me because they know I can see the wards that covered the house. They also asked the French ministry for a permit for me that allowed me to use magic freely, as long as I didn't do magic in front of Muggles or use very destructive magic other than in private places.

"Well, you're almost right. The reason he doesn't get any notices about magic outside of Hogwarts is that we got him a permit, and also our house is surrounded by wards, and one of them prevents the ministry from monitoring it" Nick said, waving his wand and casting a spell on the living room wall.

Right after that, from where the spell hit, some blue and gold symbols and runes began to appear on the wall of the room.

"And these, my dear friends, are our wards. Some of them are my beautiful wife's creation," he said, and with my Magic Vision I could see every detail of the wards, something I've done before, and every time I analyzed the wards I was even more impressed.

"Wow, this is beatiful" my mom said, as the only time she saw a ward fully activated and visible was the day the goblins installed wards in our house.

"What do these wards do?" my father asked in wonder, but he heard no answer.

My dad and mom then looked at the Flamels and saw Nick looking at them with a wry smile on his face as Penny looked away a little embarrassed.

And I, who had already analyzed the wards a little, could understand the reason for their reaction.

Penny then took out her wand and summoned a book that was on the living room shelf. Picking up the book she put it on the table and dragged it over to my parents.

"Well... I can get excited sometimes when I create something, and the wards are made for our safety, so I may have put in some a little extreme protections," she said.

My parents, who looked at Penny strangely, took the book and started reading it, and each page they read made their faces turn blue and pale.

"A ward to make all the bones in the body disappear?" my mother asked scared.

"Twisting all the invader's tendons?" my father said, as scared as my mother, since he's a doctor and knows how painful this ward must be.

'Hmm, I have to ask Penny to teach me how to ride this ward' I thought, 'Is there a spell that does the same thing as this ward? I can ask Nick later'

"Most of the time these wards are off" Penny was quick to reassure my parents, which seemed to work.

'Most of the time? The last time I saw these wards deactivated was in 1858' Nick thought, not daring to say it out loud.

My parents, after listening to Penny, continued to read the book.

"A cleaning ward?" my mom asked, and hearing her I turned around in surprise to look at Penny.

"Is there a cleaning ward here? So why do we still clean the house every day?" I asked, and Penny just turned to me with a happy smile on her face.

"Well… because it's fun," she said, and I felt my eye twitch.

'It's fun? Even though it's small on the outside, this house has so many rooms that sometimes I almost feel like I'm at Hogwarts' I thought.

-Following day-

Street of Presentations and Shows of France

"Everyone come and see! Mystical and mysterious creatures, which alone can terrorize a city!"

"They are known for having origins in Greece, with voices that enchant anyone! With a simple song they can win a thousand hearts! Come see the Sirens Gracieux show!"

Where my family and I walked, we could see and hear people screaming to draw attention to their shows and performances.

As my family and I didn't want to waste our time in France, the Flamels decided to take us to the street of presentations and shows, also known as Avenue des chansons (Avenue of Songs), which is basically an street/avenue where at every corner we can find amazing magic shows.

'This reminds me the Circus Arcanus from the second Fantastic Beasts movie' I thought.

"You wizards never cease to amaze me," my dad commented, lifting his finger and popping a golden soap bubble, which turned into a crystal rose.

"Hehe, this is just the street performances, we didn't make it to the main events" Penny said, pulling my mom by the arm and heading down the street.

My dad and Nick then looked at each other and shrugged, going to follow the two of them, but then I called my dad.

"Hey dad, I'm meeting a friend of mine here so you can go without me, then after I talk to my friend I will meet you" I said to my dad, who looked at me.

"Fine, but don't take too long or your mom might be worried," he said, and I nodded.

"Can I go with you Ethan?" Cele asked me, tugging at the sleeves of my shirt, "Please" she said, looking at me with those damn puppy eyes.

I then sighed and turned to my father.

"Sigh, it's ok Cele, you can go with your brother. But behave yourself, and don't forget to listen and obey him, okay?" he asked, crouching down in front of Cele, who nodded quickly, with a giant smile on her face.

After saying that, I took Cele's hand and started walking towards the hangout Lily had talked about, which was in front of a big red souvenir shop.

"Hey Ethan!" I heard someone call out to me, and turning around I saw Lily running towards me.

Arriving in front of me Lily hugged me, and before I could say anything she started to tell me about how your vacation has been so far.

"Brother, who is she?" Cele asked me, looking at Lily with a frown.

Hearing the cute voice beside me, Lily turned to Cele, only noticing her now.

"Who is she?" Lily asked.

"Cele, this is Lily, a friend and colleague from school. And Lily, this is Celestia, my younger sister I talked about" I said, but instead of seeing the two of them greeting each other as expected, I saw two of them staring at each other with frowns on their faces.

'But what the hell is going on?' I wondered, eyeing the two of them, who were looking each other up and down analytically and competitively.

""Hmph!"" the two then huffed and looked away.

I, who was between the two of them, could only look at them strangely, deciding not to think too much about their interaction, as I know women can be very confusing at times.

End.

(End AN: Today I woke up feeling like I was forgetting something important... But as a famous random person said: "If you don't remember, then maybe it's not that important".

And have you seen the pictures taken by the Webb telescope? I have no words to describe how amazed I am.

Maybe you don't know, but I have a great passion for Astronomy, for planets, stars, galaxies, and for the universe in general.)
