Who would like to be normal if you could be a wizard? Especially if you're the greatest wizard ever! Well... I don't. ****************************************** Also help me in Patrë-on /Se7enX, there are advanced chapters for you and it motivates me to write even more. Chapter 15

"Welcome to Diagon Alley!"

"Wow!"

"What an amazing place!"

"It really is a fantastic place"

Those were the first words my family said as soon as they saw Diagon Alley. And I have to say, even though I'm already prepared to see the magical world, it's still very impressive. Apparently, imagining something and seeing it in person are two totally different things, especially in a world with magic.

I guess I didn't really understand until now that I was in the world of Harry Potter. A world I could only imagine what it was like in my past life, and now I am part of that world.

"Glad you're enjoying it," Professor McGonagall said upon seeing my family's amazed expression, "But we don't have all day. The first place I'll take you is Gringotts Bank, where you can exchange your muggle money for wizard currency." she continued. And after saying that she proceeded to lead us through the Alley towards Gringotts.

"So does that mean you have your own currency? Well, it's not like I haven't already expected something like this," my dad commented with a shrug.

"Yes, and you will be able to find out more once we get to the bank" Professor McGonagall replied.

As we walked to the bank, we couldn't help but look at all the shops and people in the alley. It was like we were in a different time or we had entered another dimension, with all these magical gadgets in the shop windows and these people wearing bizarre robes.

________________________________________________

"Here we're," Professor McGonagall said as we arrived in front of an imposing white marble building with bronze doors, which were flanked by two creatures that I'm one hundred percent sure were goblins, or more accurately, the goblin guards. The goblin guards were wearing some kind of uniforms and armor that were scarlet and gold.

As we walked up the steps to the bench Professor McGonagall started telling us, "Remember, Gringotts are run by goblins and they're generally not the most patient and friendly creatures."

We then went through the door. And I was so intent on listening to Professor McGonagall, I didn't notice the way the goblin guards were looking at me.

As soon as we walked through the door, we found ourselves in an entrance hall that led to yet another set of doors flanked by two more guards, and on those doors were engraved the words:

Enter, stranger, but take heed

Of what awaits the sin of greed

For those who take, but don't earn,

Must pay most dearly in their turn

So if you seek beneath our floors

A treasure that was never yours,

Thief, you have been warned, beware

Of finding more than a treasure there.

"I'm the only one who thinks it would be a bad idea to try to steal this place?" I asked dryly.

"I don't know where you got that idea from" My mom replied sarcastically back.

As we passed through these doors, we came across a long hallway with many doors that were supposed to be used to access the vault passages, with over a hundred goblin boxes sitting in front of these doors, and we could also see many wizards coming and going between the cashiers.

'A few dancers over there, a dozen gaming machines over there. And since the ventriloquist would be at the Leaky Cauldron, we could put some stages for street performances right in that corner, hmm...perfect!'

Unaware of my thoughts, Professor McGonagall continued to lead us across the bank to a line in front of a goblin cashier, and it didn't take long for our turn to come.

"How can Gringotts help you?" asked the bored goblin cashier as we stopped in front of him.

"We would like to convert muggle money into wizarding" Professor McGonagall replied professionally.

"Know that the conversion is currently 5 pounds to 1 Galleon" the goblin said as he looked at us.

"Excuse me Mr..." My dad started

"Sharpfang" the goblin now known as Sharpfang replied.

"Mr. Sharpfang, could you let us know what the wizard coin looks like?"

"We have three coins. Galleon, Sickle and Knut. 1 galleon equals 17 sickles, 17 sickles equals 493 knuts, so 29 knuts equals 1 sickle" Sharpfang then explained to us.

"Mr. Sharpfang, does Gringotts have a conversion limit?" I asked curious.

And then for the first time since we got here the goblin noticed me, and as soon as he laid eyes on me his face took on a shocked look.

Through your emotions I could feel the fear and respect.

"No young warrior, Gringotts doesn't have a conversion threshold." Sharpfang quickly recovered from the shock and answered me respectfully.

'Young warrior? Is he being respectful because of my Beast Power? And if so, does that mean that my abilities actually affect even rational beings? Well I'm not complaining about it' I thought'

"How do you open a safe in Gringotts? And do you work with accounts from the Muggle world?" It would make it a lot easier if they also work with muggle accounts, as it would be more practical and less stressful than going to normal banks.

"To make a safe in Gringotts you just need to sign a contract and choose what level of security you would like to have in your safe, and yes, we also work with Muggle banks" Sharpfang replied.

"Well then I would like to open an account here" I told him, 'So I won't have to keep converting muggle money every time I need to come here'

"Of course young warrior, if you could follow me to a meeting room to finalize the deal," Sharpfang said getting up from the register and calling another goblin to take his place. After that he started leading us towards a hallway with several doors, and in all that time Professor McGonagall and my parents could only watch our exchange with their mouths open.

'''What the hell just happened?''' was the thought that crossed their minds.

End.
